Maximum Intensity Cardio

I am humbled again! Cathe is amazing- I did this for the first time this morning and she is intense! (I know, newsflash, right?) Anyway, I couldn't believe I still had a step workout left to do after we finished the hi/lo aerobics. Man, I was cooked when I was finished! I have MIS on the schedule tomorrow.

Plus, I must say, with all of that jumping around, the woman has NO jiggle. None. Amazing. I am in awe and uh, a little envious. :p

Good thing there's not a camera on my butt when I do that!! I recently got MIC & love it. I prefer the step portion, not big on floor cardio. A great oldie.

Am I the only one that gets a headache after doing MIC? I love this workout because it's so intense, but the constant jumping during the hi/lo always gives me a headache afterward.

Wow, did you read my mind today or something? I had a headache this morning and figured it was a bit of dehydration or needing to eat more since the workout was so intense. Hmm, maybe my brain can't take the jumping. :)

This is one of my favorite oldies!!! I always start out thinking, this is a breeze, then get my butt whooped. I may have to take this one out this week
elliemom :D

I know I'm probably in a minority, but MIC could possibly be my least favorite Cathe workout of all that I have (and I have most of them). I have tried to like it, but I just don't like floor aerobics anymore, I guess. I end up subbing for it now.

I love, love, love the hi-lo on this workout! It's my favorite! I never do the step segment though. I find it boring and repetitive (and I actually don't have enough room in my workout area for some of the moves). I just adore the hi/low, though!

Same here, Allison. The step bores me to no end but the hi/lo is fun and still challenging.

I love MIC (I do the step workout - I REALLY like the music in this section and find it's just the right intensity after that crazy hi/lo segment). This is what kills me during MIC - when, after doing a crazy amount of plyos - Cathe says, "Let's kick it up a notch!" I'm like, 'Is that possible??' Sometimes I actually say this to my TV, most times I'm too winded to speak. I'd love an MIC 2!! I'd love some more athletic based crazy intense hi/lo from Cathe. And the step section could either be one long routine and end in a blast, or 2 or 3 combos each ending in a mini blast.

AHHHHH..the memories. This was my very first Cathe workout 9 years ago. I haven't done it in a very long time so maybe its time to give it a whirl again. I always did the workout as produced but I have to admit, I really got to hate those sashays:confused:

This one give me a headache, too. And it bothers my knees. And its puke-worthy cardio. I don't care too much for this one. I do the low impact and the step portion occassionally on days when I need short cardio, but I don't really care for the high impact part.

I tried this one last week after recently buying it with Rhythmic Step. I literally thought I was going to die. After the hi/lo I quit. I had a lot going on that day but I figured it would be a lot easier... boy was I wrong. What a brutal workout. I'll try it again soon...

This was my first Cathe workout, too. After I finished it for the first time I walked into the kitchen and dh looked at me in alarm and said, "honey, are you okay?" I knew the workout was rough but I didn't realize I looked that done in!

What was amazing to me was that I still bought more Cathe workouts after that. I guess I like rough. ;)

I just did MIC last night and it is brutal. The first couple of section I always think "this isn't so bad, maybe I'm in better shape than I thought" HAH!

I do find the step portion to be a little repetitious. I would love to do this work-out more often because it's so effective, but I would get too bored. I only do it a few times a year.

I find it hysterical in this one that Cathe says the hi/lo starts off "easy" and progresses. I think it is hard from the first minute!! And I am with Allison on the step. Whenever I have it on my schedule, I put in another step workout after the hi/lo...and I don't even like hi/lo!!!

It has been so long since I've done this one that I decided to pull it out today because of this thread. I didn't have time to do the whole thing, so I did the hi-lo and added the challenge section from Rhythmic Step (there's no way I can put that disc in the player without doing at least some RS! ;))

It was a good workout, but I have to agree with Carrie...I'm just not a fan of hi-lo. I didn't get a headache, but I did regret not wearing a more supportive bra!

LOL at the mental image you gave me there about the supportive bra! Ha! I was sorry I didn't wear tighter shorts- felt like my bootie was banging around too much. Hmm, must be a sign that I must do B&G very very soon!

Just did it yesterday!

I just did MIC for the first time yesterday. Jodi, you're not the only one regretting the bra choice. In that video, it looks like everyone (except Cathe) needs a better foundation undergarment!

My take on it: I didn't really love it. The hi/lo reminded me of the very old days (80s -- where are my leg warmers?), and the step was fun enough. I will say that it was a cardio challenge but I am not looking forward to putting it on my rotation again any time soon.

I do love Rhythmic Step, though! :D

I`ve never done this workout even though I`ve had it ages! But it`s in the rotation that I`m doing at the moment so I suppose I should do it. I was looking forward to doing it but now I`m pretty scared lol. Well I suppose I`ll just have to give it a try!
