massage tools?

I was wondering if anyone can recommend massage tools to use at home. I have a foam roller that I use occasionally. I was wondering in particular if people find the bed of nails/acupressure mats helpful and I am also interested in input on the thera cane or back buddy for trigger point therapy. There are also different types of rollers and balls...are they worth it or is a tennis ball or basic foam roller just as effective? I am looking for something to relieve my lower back tension and I am often tight in the t-band area/glutes from workouts. Thanks.

I got a Stick for Christmas. Love it! I had tried it before but finally have my very own. Works wonders on my runner's legs and butt and post Cathe legs and butt :D

I have the Marathon Stick. I like it much better than my foam roller. I hardly used my foam roller, because it worked, but didn't seem to last much more than a few hours. The Stick really seems to work, and it's easier than rolling around on the floor.

I've invested in a lot of these tools and have the Trigger Point Therapy Manual/Handbook (not sure that's the correct title, but I highly recommend it). The bed of nails mat is great. In addition, I just got a TP Therapy quad roller and love it. I've found it very effective/easy to use for my lower body, hip flexors, and glutes. Actually, I have all the TP Therapy tools (foot/calf pkg, both balls, & Grid rollers), and a thera-cane. Of all of these, the only thing I don't use is the thera-cane, primarily because I find it difficult to maneuver. If you want to save some money, get a high bounce pinky ball instead of the TP balls.

My massage tools for my nasty trigger points include a jackknobber, a tennis ball and foam rollers for my IT bands. There's an ebook about trigger points at the Save Yourself website and he talks about a lot of different tools, but I wasn't really excited to spend lots of money on them as my tennis ball, and jackknobber work so well along with my massage therapist!
