Louis C.K. on The Spoiled Generation

Gayle, we had a party line when I was young

LOL! I remember visiting my grandmother's house as a kid and trying make phone a call, but having to wait for the neighbor to get off the phone.

Maybe that was the original "social networking".

I definately remember having rotary phones for years! We never had a party line when I was growing up nor did my grandparents by then but my mom said that when she was young they had one.

And when you actually had to get up and walk over to the T.V. to change the channel. Remember that? Now if your cable goes out for two seconds you're on the phone demanding to know what's going on. And when my parents were growing up they didn't even have T.V.

Remember adjusting the rabbit ears as well? One person would adjust while everyone else stood around the TV shrieking "There! That's good! Leave it there!" :D

My DH's aunt still has her rotary phone and doesn't want to give it up either. We finally converted her from cassettes to CDs and DVDs. She still has rabbit ears and is not interested in getting cable.

Gayle, my husband and I LOVE this! When it first came out we shared it with all of our friends. It is so funny, but unfortunately it's so true, too. These days we are that spoiled, aren't we? :p
