Lo Max...oh my goodness!

I just did the entire version of Lo Max today and, oh my gosh, what a workout! I had previously only done the FitTv version but the full workout is soooo much longer and more intense! I will qualify this by saying that I've been recovering from the flu (2 weeks!) and I still don't have my usual stamina so I was really huffing and puffing.

Has anyone else compared this to the FitTv version...I barely recognized it as the same workout!

I don't Fit-TV myself (in fact, I don't get any cable / satellite / dish / whatever you have to pay for in TV Land) but I think I can safely say that the Fit-TV version is always far more limited than the workout on DVD.

Glad you enjoyed The Real Deal!

Andrea,

Cathe's DVDs are more intense than the shows, even though I have heard about Core Max on Fit Tv being difficult.
Have you previewed Step Blast, Imax2, LIC, or Cardio & Weights yet?

Low Max is great cause the routine and the music flow well together.

Have Fun!!

Andrea,

I know what you mean!! I had lowmax recorded on fittv and did it every so often, and noticed that when the program would come back from a commercial break cathe would commit on something that her and her crew just did,i felt like "what, what did i miss?" LOL!

I purchased the full version and there a couple of things left out. Great worrout. Some of those intensity drills(or whatever there called;-)) or SO INTENSE!

Good job on your wokrout:)

I love Lo Max, too. Sometimes though I don't have a full 70 minutes, so I use the premixes. Check them out; they are great! (I especially enjoy the blast-only premix. Your legs really feel it and the sweat pours off.) I also use the premixes that have just the first half or just the last half of Lo Max. I find I still get a great workout but there is not such a long time commitment.

That said, though, I love the last few blasts the best. And when I'm really getting tired, the last few blasts do pick me up.

Wow, Annette, I'm in awe of you...No cable, satellite or other means of bringing hundreds of useless TV channels into your home?...Wish my house was like that but then my husband and sons would just go and live with the neighbors;)
Anyway, loved LoMax and actually had DOMS the next day!

Yes, Jennifer, I own all of those workout dvds (and then some!). I was just surprised by how much I had been missing on FitTv even though it is the same workout (it was just a small piece of the real thing). I'll probably stick with my FitTv version of Core Max since I don't use them that often anyway and I think they probably contain the entire workout between the 3 shows.

Amelia,
I felt the same way about missing something on the FitTv version. I would also get really annoyed when the commercial breaks would be in the middle of a step routine or a blast (this was really a problem on FitTv Step Blast). I've finally replaced all of the FitTv Cardio Workouts with the dvds. I still use some of the FitTv weight workouts but will eventually replace those as well. Cathe is just too good to miss a moment!

I'll have to try that blast only premix next!

I did the fit TV version of Lo Max today, man what a sweat fest. I was so whipped I took a nap after I showered. Whew....

Carmen.

The mailman just brought LM yesterday, so that is what I did last night. I had been looking for something tough but not extreme, fun and not knee crunching. I really liked it. I admit in the 1st combo or 2 I thought, this is easy, what the heck?? Then I quickly changed my mind. It snuck up on me.

I had a bit of probs with the choreography on some, but I will figure that out soon enough. It felt slower than some of the other workouts and without the hop/pep/jump in my step, I was losing the beat. But I can tell I will come to really like it.

All in all it was very fun and refreshing not to beat up my knees. And I really liked the kickbox flavor in a couple of the intervals. After I was done and showered, my whole body was tired, like I wouldn't have expected. Even the IMAXes don't make my whole body tired like that. I had a good snooze last night!!!

After I get the choreo down I think I will try the BOSU version and/or the medicine ball version. What fun!!! I had been avoiding purchasing this bc I thought it would be too easy, but I was wrong on that one!!! It will be a fave!!!

Nan

Andrea,

If you want a really great workout with Low Max, try holding an 8 pound medicine ball while doing the blasts. I use the med ball on all the blasts except for the last one. You will be amazed at how much harder you work.

Oh my goodness the blast only premix kicked my butt last night! I had done B&T from S&H so I just wanted to supplement it with a "little" cardio.... nice try! I usually do the step only premix which I really love but I was wiped out after that premix!
