LMAR Functional Total Body

Hi Everyone,

I did this one yesterday and loved it. I see myself revisiting this one often.

With spot on form, there is room to grow as far as weight load is concerned. Many in past complained about the speed.
On This series, speed is adequat to fully focus on form while lifting heavy and after getting good execution. Coordination, balance, mobility and strength are challenged in this workout and I love mixing all those element. Unilateral movement in multiple planes add a lot of body awareness. it is a wake up call to fix imbalances we all have ;) No one was born with identical strength on each side!

combining those elements makes cathe's product exceptional. At least, in my opinion.

There are new moves i need to improve on to gain more. one of them is the combination of squat with tricep extension. :D ;)

Thank you cathe for bringing back Deadrow, my favourite compound move:D. Really it was hightime ;)!
Who remember those endless deadrows on one of Cathe's old goodie? ............
Please be free to name it ha ha ha I love that one :D:D:D

Have I ever confessed here i enjoy working back? Well after legs of course! ;)

ETA : I do not usually substitute toys. So i did deadrow with my favourite toy. Barbell. it hit better the muscles. I feel it instantly.

How can you properly perform a heavy bent over barbell row?
Depending on how heavy it is you may want to switch to the Pendlay Row, but here is a decent image of the proper stance for the barbell row.

I did this one yesterday along with the anytime functional mobility bonus and I am sore in my inner thighs today. All of the workouts are causing me a little soreness the next day, which I love. I guess I'm working my muscles a little bit differently.

We are definetely working and in a different way.
Even the feeling is different......it's a soothing soreness deep into the muscles :D

This is what I expected. People keep saying that the set will only maintain muscle. I believe it that with meticulous form it has the ability to build muscle - functionally balanced muscle. Once I get the guide and a game plan I plan on doing a rotation where I’ll do serial segmental body comp readings. I’m betting I gain muscle in areas where I gain function and potentially even lose a tiny bit in over developed areas.

That wonderful, deep, soothing soreness is one of the things that I most love about functional fitness.

The highlighted bit above is the fun and the beauty of building muscles. It is a quest to better ourself physically, physiologicaly and mentally. it is not a quest to build sizes to show off. Being able to put a plan in place and stick to it requires mental strength. Sticking to that plan while having fun..... lol who would'nt like that! :D
