Like the others better than STS ::sigh:::

I am so bummed. I am a long, long-time Cathlete, and have just about every title in my Cathe workout collection. But I have a confession.

Having just about completed STS for the first time, I find I feel like my workouts are lacking when I dedicate the day's exercise to STS. I am so used to hitting a lot of body parts in her other series, that I feel a lack of strength/toning retention since turning away from favorites like Muscle Max, Muscle Endurance, Super Sets. When I complete THOSE sessions for the day (the classics), I feel like I hit everything pretty well.

Not with STS, (except total body) and it's driving me up the wall. I do understand that the program was designed to target, but I don't like it.

There. I said it.

The squat rack legs are just incredible, though. :))

At least you gave it a try. I too prefer her total body workouts. Have you tried high reps yet? That one will burn out all muscles in your body!

It sounds like you don't care for the one body part a day type training, and like others have said what ever rocks your boat, and STS doesn't for you. There's nothing wrong with that at all. I don't care for the compound moves type training in CLX, others love it. I love split session one body part a day type training. Especially when she works those body parts to exhaustion like she does in STS. There is so much out there, it is no thing at all to like what you like/don't like.

I had the best results ever when I did STS straight through, which means 6 days a week and cardio in the evening. I loved the results and will definitely repeat the way I did it last time. That said, I love full body workouts (especially Muscle Max) and all the others, its probably how your body best responds.

I haven't tried high-rep yet...sounds great!!!

High reps is a fantastic workout, at first when I compared STS total body, I thought STS TB was my favorite, but then after doing HR a few times, I just love this one. Funny thing, I remember not clicking with HR on the first time through, but on the second run I fell in love with it.

It is everyone's preference how they work out for sure. I found Meso 1 to definitely exhaust me for the push-ups, etc. The leg workouts aren't too hard - I know it depends on how much weight you use...

Maybe if you do those and then hit the weights another day the way you like;)

Then again, if you don't the STS, sell it!

I too love total body workouts, but I have to say my last round of STS (I'm on my 4th round now, doing the 5 1/2 month rotation) I had THE best results. I fit into size 4 pants at a weight that was 15 lbs heavier than I weighed when I fit into them previously. I was so toned and felt so strong.

But even though I had such great results doing STS, I still love those total body workouts, so as everyone else said, we all have preferences. Luckily Cathe gives us such variety that you can always find Cathe workouts that you like!

I retract my earlier statement about STS

Started back up starting with the "Strength" Mesocycles...and have fallen back in love with STS. I think I wasn't giving myself enough time to complete the workouts. I'm REALLY into it now...and may try the 6x week sequence.

Ordered the microweight gloves today, and then maybe the tower next paycheck.

Rock on Cathletes!

Oh this was me also! I tossed HR in the trade/sell pile and decided to give it one more try. I loved it! I am now a total fan of gliding work! I love how it makes the Lower Body feel and it surprisingly helped my trouble, painful knees from having issues.
