Hi all.
First day of high tensile strength today. It always takes me a while to get into programmes, so I'll reserve judgement.
Long warm up (15 mins) including foam rolling, a good hip opener sequence and some activation exercises. In future I'll skip the foam rolling and do it in a different session.
The main workout took 45 mins, but will probably come down to 35-40 once I've got the hang of it. It was 3 different supersets, 4 of each:
KB DLs x15 (24kg) + DB incline bench press x12 (12kg)
Cossack squats x8 each side + 1 arm rows x10 (15kg)
Half kneeling rope chops x8 each side + farmer carries (2x25kg)
The KB is the heaviest I have, and didn't really do it for me, so I'm going to have a rethink on that exercise. I'm out of practise on these high reps, and misjudged the weights for most things. I could have gone higher for the bench and rows. The rope chops will be felt in my triceps tomorrow! Farmers carries is really a grip test for me.
Since I didn't feel I'd had a 'proper' workout, I followed Karen's example, and did another this afternoon:

I guess I was kind of hoping I'd get her butt and legs if I did the w/o!!!!
Lisa, I love circuit max- I used to do that sort of thing all the time, and should do it again. I'm impressed you've never haf a drink. Plenty don't drink, but it's rare to find someone who never has. Good on you! (I've never had a macdonalds- is that similar lol) . My real addiction, though is cheese....any sort. Smellier the better.
Roz. Pistols. 7. 3 sets. You are amazing! Good work on the front squats, too. Tough move. Quads of steel.
Tom, those are some great ohp numbers. Great weights and great volumes. And front raises - an empty BB is enough for me!!
Envious of the snow. Wet and mild here. Lib, have you had snow (I'm not sure where you live), can you get out on your bike at the moment?
Off to wrap presents, since I've an evening to myself.
