Least Favorite Cathe Workout?

S&H upper body. Way to slow for me. The lower body tape works for me bc of the prefatigue sets and bc I do the slow sets at a faster pace and a few reps.

I have only put Stretch Max in once bc exercise time is my time to burn stress and move move move. I can't spend 20 min. holding a position! The one time I put it in was in my first trimester of this pregnancy and was feeling bad but felt I should do something. It made me feel even worse!! Putting my head down and my arms up I was so dizzy and sick to my stomach!
 
Any circuit workout - by any instructor. I do not like them at all and promise I will never buy another one. :7

That said... Drill Max, the Terminator Series, Boot Camp #1, the Body Maxes, LIC....

I also don't like Kick Max. The drills never got my heart rate up and I'm not a huge fan of kickboxing anyhow. I gave it to a friend.

I dearly love the cardio premixes for BM2 and LIC though and will keep those DVDs forever, just for those premixes.
 
It's so interesting that folks' tastes are so different! I just love SJP, Body Max, and Body Max II :) I traded Drill Max right away. Hated it!!!! I also LOATHE the music in Rhythmic Step and I just cannot do that one at all anymore, even though I like the step. I can't take that one song with that woman in the background who sings fluent Dolphin! Yuck.
 
I am loving hearing what people don't like- no offense to Cathe, though! Some of the ones people hate I LOVE (I absolutely HEART LIC, BM2, Drill Max- minus the markers, I skip those as well).

Kick Max- I sold it and then bought it again. There are parts of it I don't love and parts I do. I like having it for add ons especially- but don't love it as filmed.

Hardcore Extreme- I know this is just a compilation DVD but I don't really like it. I would much rather pull out Terminator and do The Guantlet.

Rythmic Step- I agree that the music isn't very good on this one. The music is so bad I haven't been able to like this workout- though I LOVE LOVE LOVE complex step choreography. Also- it is much too steady state for me, I always seem to get low blood sugar shakes when I do this one.

Imax 3- I want to love it. I really want to! I love Imax 2 so much I desperately want to love this one. But the impact is just too much for me. I think this workout is too mean to my joints.

I don't care for High Step Challenge. I love IMAX 2 but I've got to figure out how to do it with less impact. My back doesn't like it...I do.

It IS funny how we all like different things. I LOVE Step, Jump and Pump! Especially the circuit pre-mix.
 
Bootcamp (not the 4DS one) is my least favorite. I can't get past the over-crowded look of the set, with so many people and so much equipment. I feel like telling Cathe to watch out so she doesn't crash into someone's high step.
 
Wow, let's see. I guess my order of dislikes are KM, Butts & Gutts, Imax 3, HSC, and Higher Intensity Step of 4-Day Split. HIS and Imax 3 are simply a little complicated; I'm sure I'll learn the moves one day, but for now, I just get fustrated. IMO, KPC is more fun than KM; and BG is too long, while HSC (the music) just bores me. I have to be able to get into the music to complete any workout.
 
Imax 3 is murder on your joints, and I am only 42, not young but a tiny bit younger than Cathe and I wind up feeling like I have 80 year old knees after this one! Imax 2? Tons better!:)

I'm with you on High Step Challenge...I just don't care for this workout. For me, it's because Cathe seems too serious... I prefer her (usual) smiley demeanor (it really pulls me through when she gets the giggles during a super tough segment). I hardly ever use this workout :(
 
I don't hate any one particular workout. KM i don't like the combos but I don't mind the blasts and the leg drills. the CTX and cardio kicks are very dated and I think thats why I can't really enjoy them as much.

I am a huge fan of all Imax's especially 3 its my favourite, rythmic step I love. Not keen on slow and heavy AND finally the 4DS was a huge disappointment for me.

Cathe workouts are like ice cream- I've never had one I didn't like.:) I mean sure there are some that I don't do as often as others but I've discovered that when you give it another go, tighten your core more, focused on form more, . . and just have fun they are all great. I don't own any of the really old DVD's like the original IMAX but my Cathe DVD collection, my kids pictures, and my important files, would be the first things I would grab out of my house if it were on fire. :)

ETA: I should just get a separate safe-deposit box for all my Cathe workouts. ;)

Okay-my least favorites....HSTA--I barely break a sweat on this one. I don't know why. Plus all those d*mn leg presses! UGH! I also don't reach for Step Jump and Pump very often. I am not fond of the Hi/Lo choreography. I much prefer MIC hi/lo.

And I've only done SS/PP once. I should pull it out again--I might like it the second time through, plus I've heard the premixes are great.

ETA: I could never get rid of any of my Cathe's, though. They're all an important part of my w/o collection. I'd be afraid that as soon as I sold it, that'd be the one I'd want to do that day!

That is so weird, Allison, that you barely break a sweat with HSTA - I find that one to be a sweatfest - it's a tougher circuit workout for me than Drill Max, no lie. The cardio is short, but I think it's intense. And some of the weight moves - sit n stands, one arm dips, that biceps segment, traveling push ups - and, yes, ALL those leg presses!!

As far as least favorites, go - I don't think I could choose one - I like them all. If I had to choose, it would probably be Basic Step, although I really enjoy the upper body, lower body, and Body Fusion workouts from that DVD.

I totally agree with you on that. Well said!!!! I love every single cathe workout. Maxium Intensity Cardio is the only one I love the least but I will still do it if the rotation calls for it. !!!!

Hmmmm....something must be wrong with me! I think it's just circuit workouts in general that don't agree with me. I'm an all out cardio girl or all out weights. The only circuit that puts me to shame is Drill Max. I sweat BUCKETS during that bad boy.

I know LIC is a favorite of many, but I find this one so boring! How does anyone actually get motivated to do this one, is beyond me.

Step jump and pump dont like the music
SS and PP don't like the music I just do the premixs to make it harder
