KPC vs. KM

I think I am disappointed in KM because I thought I was getting a cardio kickboxing workout. That is not the case. I agree that it is better used as add-ons to other workouts also. KPC rocks, imo!

I am thinking of doing the first 3 drills from KPC, then adding on the kickboxing section from KM to get more of a cardio kickboxing workout from this DVD. The blast section is nothing to write home about, imo..

I completely agree with the other posters about Kick Max. I prefer K,P,C, without a doubt, over KM. I was initially a bit disappointed in this workout, but once I stopped thinking of it as a kickboxing workout, I started to like it. So, if I'm in the mood for pure kickboxing, I don't pick this workout; if I'm in the mood for intervals/blasts, I'll consider doing this one).

I'd love to see another K,P,C, though, with some punching and kicking drills a la Cardio Kicks thrown in.

Candi I agree with you:D I also have to say the more I do kickmax the more I like it!! Since I have been doing this weekly I can really see a difference in my thighs and butt.

cute work out clothes are good for AT LEAST an additional 10-15 calories burned!

I love KPC and I love KM. I don't do the blast section of KM, but it provides excellent crosstraining to KPC, because it is a different type of kickboxing. It's not cardio intensive (except for the blast), although my heart rate gets up. I thing it's more toning oriented. I love that! I do the low impact premixes and add on the combos and drills to other workouts.

I think it provides great variety to a kickbox library, because it shows the versatility of kickbox: cardio and toning.

That's my .02!

I'm in agreement with the majority. I love KPC, and was hoping for a KPC 2. Kick Max wasn't it. I did it the first time as presented and hated it. But the second time I did the Bootcamp Challenge Premix and liked it much better. I have to modify about 3 of the blasts, but it gets my heartrate up there and then it stays up there through the 3 combos that follow.

I have used the leg conditioning drills as an add-on. I started my workout with the blasts only from Low Max, followed by the lower body premix of Muscle Max, the the KM leg drills. It was slightly over an hour and my legs were feeling it.

I wish SNM had chaptered the blast section and made some sort of interval premix, alternating 2 or 3 blasts with a kickbox combo.
