KK's September Check-In

Morning,
Today was Boot Camp from the Intensity Series. I like doing the everything but core premix, then doing all of the core at the end. After I get done posting, I resolve to go clean 2 bathrooms in this house!!! Then I may wash my car and clean off the deck. I have a bike ride with a girlfriend tonite around 5 p.m. Last night, the wind came up pretty severely and gusted, also spit some raindrops. Hope that doesn't happen tonite. Last night's golf game with another girlfriend was fun. I did really well, at first, then dropped off to not so well:p. Guess that's golf. I'm loving it, and yes, I'm addicted! Yep, I helped my Mom get her computer email working again, so she's happy. I'm going to Reno tomorrow to go clothes shopping and she's going with me. We're going to pick out a laptop for her. She's still using Windows ME on her old PC. Time to upgrade!!! Also heard from DH from Wyoming on their elk trip. They are having a good time. Hope they are successful today.

Janie, I painted the foundation white above the pavers. Our house has beige vinyl siding with white trim so I just painted white like the rest of the foundation. I'm going to pick up some sealer tomorrow in Reno for the pavers. That will give them a little shine too. I'm going to have to watch the Utube re: foam roller. I could sure use that on my lower back and hips. I saw your paintings on the social group and they are lovely!!! You are so talented! How did your painting go yesterday? What are you painting?

Karen, I sure understand about typing on a laptop and the rhomboids being affected. Maybe you can sit on a pillow to be up higher? That's what I need to do. Ooooh, I just did that and it feels better on the shoulders. Glad you like Christi's cueing. I like the music she uses too. I don't find her workouts near as intense as Cathe's but they are fun and I think that's what's going to keep me going for years.

Karen - so sorry to hear about having to change your name. That does not seem right. Maybe the company should do some better promotion.

Jeanette - I'm going to be in Reno tomorrow too, but not having as much fun as you. I get to attend one of my human resource classes at the University. then a few things on the way home. Rhomboid is much better, it seemed to disappear over the day. I relaxed enough to ignore it I guess.

Janie - how's that painting going? We actually have a couple of those foam rollers. I keep forgetting about them.

Oh yeah, yesterday I did most of the 4DS Kickbox workout. Today I only squeeked out part of the cardio of the 4DS LIS. I had a low blood sugar "thing" (don't know what else to call my wobbly legs) and have been exhausted since. I hope my change in the diet levels out things soon. So I'm stuffing myself with fluids and doing nada. Have a great day tomorrow everyone! I'll "talk" to you on Friday.
 
Jeanette and Rhea, My painting is doing very well. I have a barn in the background, with mountains and clouds, trees hills and in the foreground a very rocky road, a huge tree, fence, and roadside plants. I start by doing the sky first then the mountains and layering like that until I reach the foreground. Then the fun begins, with lots of details.

When I'm done, it could take a few more days, I'll take a picture of it and show you all.

Rhea, if you have foam rollers, get them out girl. It does help, I know you know this or you wouldn't have them, right?

Jeanette, I love Boot Camp, but man it's hard! Jeesh, with all the work you do, how do you sleep. I'm impressed as always.

Let's see. Today was Step Blast -- just the step section and a stretch -- but it was a short stretch. Tomorrow I have to devote the day to getting these copy edits done and sent back to the publisher and then I can breathe a little bit easier.

The name change is a big thing for me. But as they say, "this too will pass." And yes, I think the company should make sure there is more than one book per store, but it's a little late to go over all that. Anyway...

No workout for me tonight, got home again too late.

Jeanette, don't you love that Boot Camp? That really is good that you helped your mom with her email. Gee, I could use that, myself. :) I'm still on dial-up here with my laptop. Golf does sound wonderful and relaxing -- and beautiful, actually. Thanks for the hugs, I really did need them today. The Christie Taylor is much easier than Cathie, but sometimes I need that and the fun factor really matters.

Janie, I'd love to see your paintings -- and the rollers really sound like a good idea. I could use them on my rhomboids, as well. Yes, I think you're wise to take the exercise a little gradiently -- one thing at a time.

Rhea, 4DS Kickbox is a super-tough workout. Well done for getting it in. Yes, I do wish the publisher did a little more promotion -- if only in getting more books in the store. That would help.

No workout this morning for me. Chose to sleep in a bit more instead. Will get back to everyone either tonite or Friday. Looking forward to a nice day with my Mom.
 
Well, I'm finally back from my Human Resources class in Reno. Had to get some fast shopping in on the way back. I can shop very fast. Did Home Depot, Costco and Old Navy in about an hour and 1/2. Then home. I'm now winding down and about to get ready for bed.

Weighed myself this morning. :eek::mad::( Not good at all. I have to do something about it. Like really clean up the eating...Get those weight workouts in. I also did some measurements last night. That was even a bigger wakeup call. Holy crude! I've never been so big in my life! Now I have to admit, I don't mind the cleavage I now have, but I sure know that that will be the first thing to go. Darn it. So starting tomorrow morning (yes, I said morning) I will be doing the Tony Horton 10 minute workouts in the am and something else in the evening/afternoon whichever my schedule allows.

Gosh, Rhea, don't you hate those wake-up calls on weight? :eek: I sure do understand. Yeah, clean eating and the workouts should bring that down. I'm still fighting this pound -- and I'd like to go down a couple of more pounds, but oh well...

It was SJP for me today but only the Hi-lo and Weights and abs-- about 45-50 minutes, I think. Tomorrow is KPC, but a premix -- I can rarely do more than an hour workout.

My hand is still giving me trouble -- particularly at night -- it goes to sleep, which is painful and it wakes me up and I end up walking around until the hand wakes up.:confused:

Jeanette, hope you had or have fun with your mom. Wasn't sure if it was today or tomorrow when you'll be spending time with her.

Good evening,
Had a good time in Reno with my Mom. Got some clothes, then went to Home Depot for some paver sealant, then to Best Buy for Mom's new laptop. Also took her to lunch at Mongolian Grille, which was good.

No workout this morning, but planning on working out tomorrow evening. I'll be heading to Fall River Mills to play golf again. Love that course.

Karen, think I may do a SJP premix like yours tomorrow. Love that one. Darn it on the hand. Didn't know it was causing that much trouble. Could it be a pinched nerve somewhere?

Rhea, you are braver than me to weigh yourself. I'm still in denial :cool:. However, when trying on clothes, I was still the same size, though they may be vanity sized. As long as I don't see the weight in my face and my arms look okay, I can deal with it. I'm still not brave enough to weigh. Just don't want to go back to that mental stress every day.

Janie, thanks for the description of your painting. Can't wait to see it when it's done. I'm loving the extra sleep in the morning. It feels good...

Karen, How are the copy editing coming along? I don't understand why the publishers didn't have more than one copy per store. Do you have a say in that? I just wouldn't be able to change my name. People know you as you are...? Why does this have to pass? Can you do something? Your hand is still giving you problems? I am so sorry. It has to be very frustrating.

Jeanette, Did you enjoy your Mom? I bet you did. My daughter and I are going on a shopping/looking around (this Saturday) at a place called Levenworth. It's a mock town that looks like old Dutch. Very Quaint. Should be lots of fun. Have fun Golfing, and extra sleeps in the mornings.

Rhea, You are a speedy shopper!:confused: Tell me about it! Weight is creeping up on me as well.:eek::mad::eek: Proud of you for your plan of action. You'll do just fine.

Still haven't got any lye yet for my soap making. Sure hope it comes soon. I have a lot to do yet. In the mean time, my painting is going well. I'm about a third done. Should take 2 or more days to finish. I may have to do another for myself. Is that being conceded?:eek: I hope not.

Good morning!

I was good, rolled out of bed and did the 10 minute legs fromTony Horton. Actually, if I can do this for 21 days straight, then it is supposed to become a habit. Well, that is my first goal and then I'll go from there.

Probably won't get much of a workout in this evening, I have a massage scheduled for this afternoon. I really need it. I had better get to drinking more water to flush things out of me. Hmm, might need to get some lemons too. Wash out those toxins!

I had better run. I think my trial for next week got dismissed. Funny how that happens.

Hi! Today was KPC -- most of it except I didn't do the last arm and leg drill, but I did most of the rest -- not all of the abs, however, either. Anyway, it's a good workout. No extra workout tonight, however, as I only just finished the copy edits.

Well, the name thing I guess is just a part of this business. Authors take so many different names, that I guess it's just part of the business. I don't know. We'll see.

Anyway, Janie, that's a shame that you can't get lye. And too bad that the reason is because of the meth thing. It's interesting how our society seems to be geared to the lowest strata of society. Too bad that honest people are made to endure laws that are made to restrict the criminal -- and it's criminals who by definition can't obey laws. So it seems to only hurt the honest guy in the streets. Just an observation.

Really want to see your creation on the painting.

Jeanette, that golf course sounds lovely. What's it like? I know in CA and in Vermont, the golf courses are things of beauty. Love shopping, especially when it's done with people we love. Have a super weekend.

Rhea, that's great that you got up and got that workout in. Hope the massage goes well. I've been thinking more and more about massage with this hand -- try to see if the kinks can't be massaged out.

Still weigh myself daily -- I'm afraid not to, because when I don't, that weight tends to creep up on me much too easily. But, i sure understand the reluctance.

I'm actually checking in on the weekend! Well, not a whole lot I can do right now. Plumbers are here, no water for a while. So I've been playing on the computer.

Been really good with the diet, except for a minor concession today with a nonfat, sugar free carmel macchiato from Starbucks. It is certainly less calories that the fall favorite, pumpkin spice.

My kitty Woody got me up at the usual time. She refused to let me sleep in, but I did not workout this morning. I plan on doing a longer workout today since it is the weekend. I'm thinking either Muscle max or Muscle Endurance. i might even add on a short cardio.

I ordered a new workout too. I'm trying Tony Horton's one on one trainer for a while. This month's workout is Killer Abs. So, I should get that core in shape.

So what is everyone up to this weekend? Karen - have you thought of a name yet? I can't believe the name change thing, but now I understand a bit why some authors like Nora Roberts have that other name....I think J.D. Robb.

Jeanette - how was golfing? I'm so glad that you get to golf so much. I just have not had the time this year at all. I think I've only golfed once, maybe twice. I don't think my DH golfed more than a couple of times too.

Janie - did you finish your painting yet? I can't wait to see the picture of it.

Good morning!

Wow, locked the kitty out at 6:00 a.m. (she was even late this morning) and went back to sleep. Must have needed it. I am a bit sore today, already, from Muscle Max yesterday. I did not scare away from heavier weights, even though I haven't really lifted heavy weights for a while. Since yesterday was a complete body weights, I'm not sure what I'll do today. Maybe I'll get out Cardio Collectibles and break a really good sweat.

I needed a break from all that painting. It should be done Mon., Tues. or Wedn. I'm doing a lot of detailed work so it takes awhile. Then I look at it again and need to do more details. That's how it goes for a few days.

Rhea, Muscle Max will get you sore. I also love Christy Taylor and her sweating cardios.

KK, how are things with your poor hand? I hope it's better.

Wow! Rhea you were posting on the weekend. Wow! :eek: Weekends are tough for me because I'm on course all weekend long -- except for the mornings -- but I go until 10 PM and so it's just long.

Muscle Max is terrific workout -- I'll be doing it in a couple of weeks, I think. So my weekends are kind of boring... Just course.

Le'ts see. The name I've picked is Gen Bailey -- Gen for my mom and Bailey cause that's my married name. So I guess I'll go with that. The copy edits weren't hard this time, so that's good -- I'll be getting them back to the publisher tomorrow.:)

Janie, the hand is doing okay -- it's better but constantly falls asleep -- and it's something that's pretty intolerable in the middle of the night. How're you doing? How's your injury coming? Love the graphic, by the way

Am thinking that I'm going to need to move. Someone broke into one of the other apartments in this little complex and I guess someone tried to get into my door -- but I have a deadbolt...not sure on that -- but it looks as though someone might have. Not a happy prospect -- so I might start looking elsewhere.:(

Here's the plan for this week: Really simple.

CTX series. It's simple and easy and I'll probably have to start looking for another place. There's lots of places here to rent, but I do want to be somewhere that's safe. So...

Muscle Max is a tough workout and am so glad that you're eating cleaner -- and doing those workouts. I know it'll make a difference.

It's okay -- getting gradually better, but it falls asleep constantly and the time when I really hate it is at night -- it wakes me up and I end up walking the floor getting it going again. How're you doing? How's the recovery going? Love your graphic,by the way.

So my rotation for next week is simple -- CTX series -- I'll need time and this is the workout to give you more time. I may have to mover because someone broke into the apartment across the way from me here in this little apartment complex and I no longer feel safe here.:( So I guess I'll be going apartment hunting.

Hi Everyone!

Sorry I've been away so long. I meant to get here at the end of the week last week but just didn't make it. I've been doing LOTS of riding. I've managed to squeeze in a couple of workouts though. I did do High Step Training Advanced (man, talk about leg press...), Power Max, The Gauntlet, and Pyramid Upper Body. I'm supposed to take my neighbor for a trail ride today and my boss starts a week off so it should get interesting. If I get a chance, Pyramid Lower Body is on the schedule for today (or next opportunity).

Karen - Wow, that is scary! I would feel the same in your shoes. Glad you have that deadbolt!

Janie - You sound busy with your painting.

Rhea - I love Muscle Max. I think it is all the band work. It's interesting to do that much in 1 workout.

At least thought your post didn't make it, and tried again. I wonder if the computer people will fix that? Who do we tell or complain to? Gen Bailey, that's a great name.;) When can you go home?

Rhea, Muscle Max is a great workout, I'm so tempted to workout today. My brain keeps asking me, should I or shouln't I?

Tammy, I use to ride a lonnnngg time ago. I remember it as being lots of fun. Have fun while the weather is nice. Yor are also allowing time for your exercises. Good for you.

Well, today I came home and did a favorite. Dance Fit (how did you guess?) I'm now tired. Ready to eat a little dinner and do some ironing. (no I still have not finished the ironing. It has just been sitting there on my couch.)

Janie - did you get that painting done?

Karen - how about those copy edits? How much longer on that class? Will you be back by the holidays this time? I sure hope so.

Jeanette - you must still be on vacation or swamped with catching up.
