KK's September Check-In

Janie - Glad that the floor is done. I thought about you today when I was working out on my new floors. I have learned one thing about the wood floors vs. carpet. When you do abs, you have to use a mat now, right?. Well, you sure have to make sure that your form is right and that small of your back doesn't lift off the floor or you get what I would call....mat/back farts. It really makes you concentrate!! Thank goodness I'm by myself when I work out, the sound is terrible if it sneaks out. I noticed today that my form is much better and no sound effects! LOL

Hope everyone else is doing great! I only ended up doing a premix on the Butts and Guts. I'm glad I only did a premix, barely made it through that one. OUch.

Better run, I actually have to work tonight and get some things done; along with a meeting at 7:00.

Rhea,

Will definitely make sure to do the abs right and use a mat. I don't want to be tooting away while my hubby is with me. He won't think it is the mat. But then again, I have heads up don't I? I'll watch my form and wait for him to toot! Let the teasings begin. Can't wait for the sound effects. LOL!

Thanks for the heads up.;)

Good Friday morning,
Today I did about 45 minutes from 2 different Christi Taylor DVD's - Hi-Lo Heaven and Solid Gold Cardio (both hi-lo). Followed up with the abs from LIC and then stretch.

Janie, LOL about the Toots!!! Interesting sword workout!

Rhea, don't feel bad, I did a floorwork only premix from B&G a couple days ago. Felt it yesterday (inner thighs).

Tammy, hope the weather cooperates for the trail ride and I'm hoping that your DH goes. Does he enjoy riding too?

Karen, that Cardio and Weights is a fun workout for sure. How's the course going?

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Really quick, I'll come back later.

Did Step Jam, the first section. Including the warm up (8 min.) it was 31 min. Did 23 min. of step.

I'm going to stretch then pick up my little Molly from dentist work at vet today.

Jeanette, love Christy Taylor workouts, perhaps the next cardio for me will be one of hers.

See ya later,

Janie

Good Evening!

Hi!

Leave it to you, Rhea, to have me laughing out loud. :p I wonder when they're filming if they ever have that problem. Bet they do.

Today was cardio only -- eight intervals -- from Drill Max. My anaerobics workout. Don't know what I'll do tonight, but I guess I better decide soon. Tomorrow the plan is Boot Camp from the Intensity series.

Course is going well -- lots to do -- need to schedule in more time somehow. Not sure how -- but somehow.

Janie, wow! Already you're doing step -- and I bet the floor is beautiful. Yes, pictures would be great. Love that graphic -- interesting about the sword workout.

Rhea, you made me smile. Thanks. Hope that work tonight goes quickly and well.

Tammy, feel free to talk about your critters all you like. I think we all love our critters and I find the talk you and Jeanette have been doing really interesting. So, yes, talk away.:)

Jeanette, ah, Christi Taylor workout. I can't wait to get her workout -- hopefully soon.

Well, the weekends are tough for me -- 8 hour days on course -- I only wish I could do that M-F, as well. I'd get through this faster. But I do have to work a little, also.

Anyway, have a super weekend, everyone!:D

Good Evening!

:DJust a quick post to say that I love the new Christi Taylor DVD -- it's fun, fun, fun . I can't wait to explore it in more detail. Got it tonight and did the first 3 cardios.

Karen - it is totally fun huh? It is so hard not to do the whole thing. One of my favorite cardios is the last one, it is so easy, but by the time you get it Christi is so right, not so easy for the bod, but easy for the mind. Just wait until you do the sitting jumping jacks....ooh, good for the lower abs. Hmm, I might have to pop that in today if I get any extra energy. (feeling lazy again, and I have about four hours of ironing to get done) And I'm here, reading posts....talk about procrastination!!

Okay, to the ironing board!!!!

Good Evening!

Four hours of ironing! Oh, my gosh. I hate to admit it but I don't iron -- if it's wrinkled, it's sort of like, uh, okay. Four hours. Rhea, I think you deserve to flip in that Christi tape -- it really is fun. Jeanette and Janie and Tammy and Mandy -- you're kinda love it!

Well, Sunday night is when I look at the week ahead and plan out the week, so here's the plan for next week:

Mon: HSTA -- cardio only -- 8 intervals however -- I'll redo 3 of them -- this is for anaerobics
Tues: Supersets
Wed: Step Blast -- Step section only & stretch
Thurs: SJP -- Hi-Lo & Weights only
Fri: KPC -- a premix -- cause doing the whole thing is too long for me
Sat: Bootcamp, cardio only from 4DS -- for anaerobics
Sun: Off

In the evenings this week, I'm going to explore Christi Taylor in more detail -- I love the music for that video -- love the moves -- it's like dancing -- really fun!

Have a super day everyone!:D

Good morning!

I ended up not working out and really not finishing up the ironing, but I made a dent in it. I did some things outside and watched Arabian Nights on the SciFi channel. I think I was trying to take advantage of nothing I had to do since the next two weeks will be busy, busy, busy.

Hope everyone else is doing great!

Talk to you later.

Mornin,

Joey and I did "Total Body Sculpting" Sat. Then Sun. I did The first segment of "Mission Possible" (Christy Taylor). Sun. night I was looking at my wound and it has gotten bigger and thicker. I decided to hold off on exercising until the scab goes away. I'm afraid if I don't it will get worse. I believe it will take at least another 6 weeks. I'm very disappointed :(:( and depressed. Oh well.

Check out powerstrike.com (Forza) and you will see the amazing body I would love to have. Probably not in this life time, but perhaps the next.

Tammy, love to talk about critters.;)

Karen, How much longer is your course? I can't wait to purchase the new Christy Taylor workout. It will be a little while though. Darn! I'll get it when I've healed. Four hours of ironing, YIKES! That wouldn't be my day at all. Your workout looks awesome. Good for you.

Rhea, Sitting jumping jacks? Wow, how is that done? The calm before the storm? You deserve a rest before your very busy schedule.

I've been making more soap lately and I will most likely end up with 30+ recipes. I'm out of lye and waiting for some to come in the mail.

All I need to do now with the book is add a word here, a sentence/paragraph there and type in all those recipes, then put everything in order. Looks like Winter before it will be done. It does take a while to write a book!

Today I'm going to take a break from everything and paint an acrylic painting I promised for my brother. It may take two or three days, but I need it as well. It will be a good break from everything.

Take care everyone,

Janie

Good Afternoon!

Hi!

Well, Rhea, I can sure understand taking it easy -- especially when you will be so busy this week. I'm so glad that you tuned me into that Christi Taylor DVD -- I'll be exploring the cardio each night this week. I really can't wait.

Janie, I can fell your disappointment. I'm going to email you privately with something that I think might help. Love the graphic, by the way.

Anyway, just a quick check in to say that I did the HSTA cardio today -- 5 intervals and then redid 3 of them for a total of 8 intervals -- this is for anaerobics. It ended up being about 35 minutes -- not bad for today. Monday's are always busy days for me.

Anyway, I'll end now to email you privately, Janie. :)

Karen,

Thank you so much for the advice on assisting. I'll do it three times a day (morning, noon and night). I've heard of this before and I'm hopeful that it will help. I'll look up the doctor you mentioned on the internet. It sounds interesting. I thought your hand was doing fine. Darn!

You know when someone is just about to cry and when you go to them and hug um they start to spill their tears. Well, ever since your wonderful message, I'm kind of teary eyed. In a good way, that was very comforting.

Thank you so much,

Janie

Hi!

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Janie - I'm so sorry to hear about your workout difficulties. Hang it there. It has to be so disappointing.

Karen - Your workouts look challenging. Hope your week isn't as busy as your weekend.

I sse you all are going to have me buying a new workout video....all your talk about Christi Taylor sounds interesting.

Well, I didn't work out at all this weekend but I did spend 8 hours on 3 different horses this weekend so that was a good thing. The bad thing was I ate all kinds of BAD things. I hate when I do that. Hot dogs at the trail ride....potato chips......SIGH!!! Willpower come back. I did manage to work out today. Did Cardio Kicks with the core section from Butts and Guts. If the weather continues to hold, I'm gonna try and ride again this evening.

Hi to Jeanette, Rhea, and Mandy!

Tammy

Thanks Tammy for the "Hang in there cheer".;) It is appreciated.

I'm trying hard to get lye from my sources. This is my second source for this product. It's a must to be able to make soap. They canceled my order and said they couldn't send me anymore. Seems people are taking advantage of the stuff and use it for meth. labs. So people like me trying to make a household product can no longer purchase from these companies.

This is not good news for my book. If I can't get a reliable Co. to purchase lye from, then how will my readers make their soap? This is just not good news.

I have a call in at a few Co. in hopes that they are secure enough to send lye out to readers/customers. I sure hope so, or my book is all in vain.

Well, I've set up my painting area, and put a couple of coats of gesso on. One more coat to put on before I can start painting. Tomorrow will be a good day to start the painting.

Talk with you all tomorrow.

Janie

Hi all,
I'm on vacation and really enjoying myself! Saturday was an out of town golf game with a girlfriend. Had a great time! Did a SJP circuit premix that evening. Sunday was a group bike ride. Had fun, did 30 miles at a nice clip. Came home and painted the foundation above the pavers so it looks nice and finished now. DH will be happy when he gets home from Wyoming. Haven't heard from them as they must be out of cell range.

Today was a golf game at another out of town course. Had a wonderful time there too! When I got back, I took a wee nap, then did some housework. After that, I did Supersets, which I enjoyed. That is another one of my favorites. Hmmm, the Body Blast Series rocks for me. Tomorrow is a haircut and color, then over to my Mom's to help her with her computer and phone (having problems) and then a golf game with a girlfriend in the evening.

Janie, I certainly hope you can obtain some lye. Wow, who would've thought it would be so difficult? Love your Meez! What will you be painting? Please take it easy so you can thoroughly heal. I'm kind of surprised that you went from not doing anything to being able to work out and use the treadmill so quickly. Know how disappointed you are, but things will get better. Just a temporary setback. ((((HUGS)))

Tammy, did your DH go on the trail ride? Did the weather cooperate? You'll get back on the clean eating wagon. I say this, but I surely haven't been good. In fact, I had a beer after my golf game, a light one ;), plus snacks of granola, nuts and craisens during the golf game. Not that I burned a lot of calories as I was in a motorized golf cart. Oh well, I'm on vacation .

Karen, glad you are enjoying your new Christi Taylor DVD. I'm hoping to order it soon too. How do you like her cueing? It really clicks for me and I enjoy her personality.

Rhea, that's a lot of ironing! I'd have tendonitis from doing all that!

Good night,

Good morning,
Today was CTX All Step, followed by my own stretching. I play golf tonite. Have a few things to get done today. Love this vacationing. I need to get more sleep like this on a regular basis.

Great workouts, everyone!

Good morning!

I'm here procrastinating at work. What a great way to start the day though.

I did my fun DVD again yesterday. Not sure what is going to be on the menu for today. Long court day. I have a bit of a kink in my rhomboid too...darn muscle. I always get that kink though, especially when I have not had a massage for a while. I think it is mainly from sitting all day. Typing at the computer doesn't help.

Have a great day and great vacation!

Good Evening!

Goodness what a day! It started out with especially bad news on my work. My editor loves this next book, but my last book isn't performing as well as it should, and so... I have to change my name. After 15 years in this business and building up that name, I have to change it. Of course I didn't HAVE to, but the way distribution is nowadays, if I want to sell and sell well, I kinda need a new start. :( I've been bummed all day. Even my hubby telling us that our tax refund came in didn't cheer me up much.

For eleven years at my old company, my stats (and your sales are everything in the book business) were always high -- my publisher didn't sometimes understand how come I did so well. So this is a real bummer. I'm used to my sales being really good. But some of it is the publisher, I think. They've only been distributing about 1 book per store and 1 book per store just doesn't sell -- can't find it, it's never face out, etc. Anyway, I won't bore you with all the details, but the upshot of it all is that it's been a real bummer of a day.:(

Jeanette, I loved how you had those two things facing each other. How did you do that? It made it seem like you were really giving Janie a hug.

Okay, so today was Supersets for me, too, Jeanette. Tomorrow is Step Blast, I think -- cardio only -- and then a stretch.

No workout tonight -- got caught up in a talk with another student -- discussing her dating life.:)

Janie, I hope those assists work for you. They should. They work for me. But let me know how it goes, okay? It will get better. This, too, will pass. And what are you painting? Again, I love that graphic.:D

Tammy, I think riding 8 hours is one heck of a workout. I bet it was beautiful, too. I always try to think when you have a day of bad eating that if you catch it the next day, it doesn't really matter. At least I hope so. I've been bad about my eating today, also.

Jeanette, enjoy, enjoy your vacation. Goodness but you sound busy with all kinds of fun things. Biking (30 miles -- wow) and the workouts. Don't you love CTX All Step and SJP and Supersets? I'm doing kinda a Blast series rotation this week -- so I'll be doing some of these, as well. And I do love Christi Taylor's queing. You have plenty of time to think about it.

Rhea, those court dates sound like much work to me. I really love Christi Taylor. It's like you're going dancing with her, I love that cool down and stretch. It's just simply fun. And the music! I don't know, it's just fun.

Okay, well, I've gone on and on. Sorry. Hopefully tomorrow will be a little better. Have a super day tomorrow, everyone!:D

One more thing...

Just wanted to say, Rhea, that I have trouble with my rhomboids, too. I, too, think it's from sitting and typing in front of the computer all day. It doesn't happen so much if I can lower the keypad -- but on my computer here, it's a laptop and you can't lower that keypad without then not being able to see the screen.;)

Anyway, again, have a good day, all!

Jeanette, Golfing and riding bike sounds like a wonderful weekend. What color did you paint above the pavers? I bet it all looks awesome.:D How did your hair cut and color turn out? I bet your mom appreciated you helping with the phone and computer. Concerning my exercising, I guess I wanted too much too soon. I'll take it easy from now on. Thanks for the hugs.

Rhea, I know what will help your stiffness. A few weeks ago I ordered a foam roller. I've been using it on my back, legs, and arms, where your muscles are tense. They provide instructions with it, and it is also on the internet. You can watch it on Utube. It's like having a message, but dosen't cost you an arm and a leg. I also heard tennis balls work as well. So I found some in the old garage, put them in a stocking and started rolling on them against a wall. It works!;)

Author, you might want to try the suggestion I gave to Rhea on your muscles as well. Oh no, I'm so sorry about your book. I don't understand why you have to change your name, darn! Oh my gosh! ((((hugs)))) your way. Can't the publisher do better for you? Wish I had words of wisdom to make you feel better.

Hi Tammy, how ya doing?

Janie
