KK's March 2007

Good Morning!:)

Just a quick check in.

Rhea, isn't ME fun? It is one of my favorites of all time. Cathe is in top form in that, I think -- and the workout is simply challenging.

Golf sounds good, too!

Jeanette -- it would be fun to ride together, although I think I might hold you back -- am just getting back into it -- sure do love it, though.

Hi Becky -- have a great weekend.

Am planning either an IMAX or Drill Max at noon workout. Changed my schedule until I finish this promo stuff, as I wasn't getting enough writing done -- so am writing more in the morning now.

Have a super day and a terrific weekend.:7

Totally funny.....I just realized that I didn't do ME yesterday, I did Muscle MAX!!! I've been calling it ME. I'm now going to have to dig out ME and do it next week.

Good Evening!:)

I like Muscle Max, too. It's funny that you've been confusing the two. Am posting while awaitng my hair to dry -- we went out to the Shrine tonight and are just home and I'm ready to go to bed, but need the hair to dry...

Haven't exercised Friday or Saturday -- am detoxing and had a very strange thing happen on Friday. Overnight I had put on 3 pounds on Friday (weighing myself first thing in the morning), and so I was already a little down about that and was working on my promo on Friday (it's now done -- yea!) -- and I had an almost exact same sensation happen in the exact same spot where the spider bite had been -- exact same spot -- exact same sensation (pain). At first I thought I'd been bit again, but on looking at it, there was no bite -- but it was turning black underneath the skin where the bite had been.

Didn't know what it was, but I didn't feel bad, so I just figured some of the toxins were hiding in the fat tissue or something and were being released. And then this weight problem that I've been having made sense suddenly. I am fighting toxicity, as Id thought, but it's still dealing with the spider bite...not all the toxins from that were gone. It just all kinda clicked. I could go on, but I don't want to bore you. So I've been taking it easy, have cut way back on my eating and water intake, just to give the stomach some "time off."

Tomorrow I'm planning KPC and some time with my hubby. Have a super rest of the weekend.:7

Good Evening!:)

Sunday -- the time when I go over what I plan for the week ahead. Am detoxing it appears -- and am fighting tiredness because of it -- so I think this week I am going to concentrate, not on intensity, but on moderation, so I don't wear myself out.

In letting the stomach sort of rest -- not eating much or drinking much, even water, the weight has come down a little. But again, since I'm detoxing, I am tired. Even my strength workouts will be a little easier, I hope.

Here's the plan:

Mon: IMAX2 -- 5 intervals only
Tues: Push/Pull
Wed: Cardio from Cardio Hits plus stretch -- always a favorite
Thurs: Supersets or some other strength shortened workout
Fri: IMAX -- 5 intervals only
Sat: HSC -- premix
Sun: Off

Today was KPC premix -- was good. Well, have a super day, everyone and some terrific workouts!:7

Good morning,

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I had a super Sunday, great bike ride of 50 miles. Very scenic, fast and good company. Afterwards it was on to my sister's BBQ birthday party. I made a couple of dutch oven desserts. They were scarfed down. Today was Slim Series Mix It Up. Tonite will go out with DH and let the dogs run. Relax a bit too.

Karen, what do you do to detox? Do you think the spider venom is still in you? Hope you start feeling more energetic. Why are you drinking less water? It would seem like you would want to flush everything out. Wow, it's been a while since the spider bite and still problems. I know brown recluse spider bites are very nasty, with MAJOR tissue damage. Glad you enjoyed KPC.

Hi Rhea and Becky,

Jeanette

Good Evening!:)

It's really late -- we were out at a friend's house -- and just back -- but wanted to come on and post.

Didn't workout today -- was up last night with a stomach ache and didn't feel good all day today so I took it easy. We'll see how I feel tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll be up and around again.

Jeanette -- 50 miles -- wow, I bet it was beautiful. Now that I have my bike again, I can really appreciate it more and more. And Dutch oven desserts -- makes my mouth water just to think of it. That slim series really sounds fascinating. I'm just hoping to get back up to what I was doing.

Am detoxing because of the amino acid complex that I'm taking -- and I was taking too much, probably, cause the detox is a little more than my body can easily handle. Also am doing some purification and so I think that triggered the detox, as well. It's just as well, as I don't want those toxins in the body, but perhaps it should go a little more gradually so that the body isn't overwhelmed with toxins. I must admit that the spider bite flaring up again -- and the exact same sensation and the exact same thing happening in the exact same spot was ... interesting. And now I have the stomach problems that accompany this kind of bite.

Too much detox -- and the body isn't getting rid of the toxins easily enough, which is why I've cut back on food and water, cause the stomach isn't able to easily digest anything right now. Some fluids, soup, kefir, whey, raw cream -- that's pretty much what I'm eating cause they are easily digested.

I cut back on water cause no matter how much water I was drinking the body couldn't seem to get rid of it -- so I did the opposite of what I've always thought you should do cause it just seemed right -- my stomach just isn't able to do much right now, and the water would just sit in the stomach -- so my idea was to just give it a rest -- not starve, but to eat only those things easily digested and just let it get well. I think it's problems are also connected with the spider bite -- and after all this time.

Of course these are only my opinions, but they do make sense. Hopefully tomorrow the body will have settled down from my overloading it with amino acid complex and I'll get back on track. I sure hope so. Don't like not working out.

Answered my correspondence today and slept -- no writing today. But hopefully tomorrow.

Have a great day, everyone and some terrific workouts.:7

Good morning,

Today was almost all of Cathe's Cardio Fusion except I did just 2 drill segments at the end, for a total with the stretch of 60 minutes. This was really fun. Didn't get out with DH last night as it was a little windy and I just wanted to rest from my busy day at work. Today will be another busy one too I'm sure. I'm taking Thursday and Friday off as vacation days. Going to go stay the night with my son and Cass in Reno and do some shopping for new decorations and stuff for the living room. Friday I'll travel to a neighboring town and look at woodstoves. That'll be fun too.

Karen, I sure hope you feel better, my goodness. Sounds so complicated, I worked with a lady that was sensitive to so many things, smells, medications, alcohol. I think she was what I've heard as a "canary". I mean even onions cooking in a microwave at work would bother her, she'd get all stuff and such. Hope the stomach starts working better again. Must be miserable.

Hi to everyone,

Jeanette

Good morning!

I've been repeating my workouts from last week. So Sunday was Cardio and Weights, yesterday was Imax2 and today will be LIC. I managed to golf on Sat, best round I've ever had. It was fun! I thought that when I started back up I would be right back at hitting terribly, but apparently not (hopefully that round wasn't just a fluke;) ) I actually out drove my DH on a couple of holes. hehe...

Hey Jeanette - I'm going to Reno on Thurs too! DH has a doc appointment at 3 p.m., and then we've got to find some rims and tires for my car. I still have the studs on because the old tires were thrown out. I think we have to have them off by April 15th and that is creeping up fast.

Well, better get to court, only have ten minutes ....oops!

Good Evening!:)

No workout for me again today -- still detoxing, although I'm starting to feel more and more normal again. Strange thing, this detoxing. Not a whole lot of production on writing either. I'm having to go back and add a few things -- and having to figure out where to insert a few scenes that are needed for some scenes coming up later in the book.

Rhea, your workouts sound great! C & W and IMAX and LIC are some of my favorites. Very cool, as well about your golfing and hitting. Nice.

Jeanette, don't you just love Cardio Fusion? It's usually on my workout plan each week. Am hoping to feel up to the workouts again tomorrow, but I'm not rushing it, this time. The area where the spider bit is still a little black underneath the skin and there's still a few sensations there now and again. So I might give it another day -- but at least the stomach seems to be digesting things again.

Have fun in Reno, both of you. Sounds like some good times planned. Must settle down to work in earnest tomorrow.

Hi Becky!

Have a great day, everyone and some super workouts!

Good morning,

Today was Slim Series Tear It Up. This one has a little bit of cardio in it, nothing heart pumping but a nice diversion from the weights. I cut it short, but included the abs for a 60 minute workout. You know me and that 60 minute mark. Didn't do a Cardio Coach last night as I just didn't feel like it. Won't be on to check in in the morning as I'm off to Reno tonite after getting my hair done.

Rhea, I'll be furniture shopping, maybe check out R.C. Willy. Have fun shopping for tires & rims (not my favorite thing). Glad you had a great round of golf. Don't you love it when you can outdo your spouse? Am also going to Taylorsville on Friday to look at getting a new woodstove.

Karen, glad your stomach is working better. I hate that blah feeling. Sending out healing vibes that all toxins leave your body. Would anti-venom help? What do they give people that get a black widow bite?

Got to go,

Jeanette

Good Evening!:)

I will miss your smiling face here, Jeanette, in the morning. Have fun in Reno with your son and his girlfriend, and have fun shopping. One of my most favorite things to do.:)

I did exercise today -- am feeling a little bit better gradually. Interestingly, the spot where the spider bit is still sore (it wasn't sore until Friday, when this whole thing turned on). And it's still slightly black under the skin. But on the whole, am feeling better.

People usually just recover from these without venom shots, but they could be given in severe cases, I suppose. This is odd, because it's two months since I had the bit -- but like I said, I've been doing a bit of a purification, and so this turned on as a result of that, I'm sure.

It was IMAX2 for me today -- only 6 intervals -- am taking it easy getting back into exercise. Tomorrow I plan Supersets.

Hope you are doing well, Rhea, with your incredible job and same for you, Becky! I'll still be posting, as it keeps me going with the exercise, as well.

It was 9 pages written today, which is good, cause I'm having to go back and fix a few things.

Well, have a super day everyone and terrific workouts!:7

Good morning!

I think I forgot to post again yesterday. Pfft.

Let's see, did IMAX2 on Mond, LIC on Tues and yesterday was Kick Max. I'm going to squeeze in Muscle Max before I leave for Reno.

Hope you are doing better today Karen. Looks like you are on the mend.

Becky - come out from under the books! We miss you!

Jeanette - have fun in Reno...looks like great weather.

Talk to you later.

Good Evening!:)

It was Supersets/upper body only for me today and a bike ride. Since my bike has been fixed, I find I'm riding it almost daily. Tomorrow I plan a short cardio and stretch and hopefully better production. Only 2-3 pages today cause I'm going back to fix things earlier in the mss. Also, I just need to put in more time.

Rhea, have fun in Reno -- and you, too, Jeanette. Looks like you are really getting these workouts in well, Rhea -- an inspiration.

Hi Becky! Am sure you're off for a weekend with your hubby.

Am doing shortened workouts until I'm completely recovered from whatever toxicity is running through the bod. Hopefully, I'll be back up to par next week. It's getting better.

Have a super weekend, everyone and some dazzling workouts!:7

Morning,

Today was Firm It Up. Have to get going soon as I'm going to do some more shopping today. Yesterday I bought a couch and loveseat and a couple of lamps in Reno. Still looking for a floor lamp and will keep an eye out for some new pictures.

Karen, sounds like you are feeling better. Hope you get lots of writing in today and this weekend.

Rhea, hope your shopping in Reno was good too.

Jeanette

Good morning!

Jeanette - your shopping was surely more fun than mine. Nothing more mind numbing than looking for rims and tires. ZZZZZZZ. At least I got to indulge at Macaroni Grill.....I was not a good girl for dinner last night.

I did manage to squeeze in Muscle Max, but skipped the triceps and the core work. I had a little bit of blood sugar problem yesterday, so I didn't have the energy to really finish out strong. Must have been the type of food I had for breakfast and snack.

Good luck on the writing today Karen!

Have a great day!

Good morning!:)

An early check in for me today. It was a short cardio today -- one of Cathe's early workouts -- Step Fit, I think -- then a stretch with the band. Felt good.

Rhea, you made me laugh out loud with your comments on the shopping for tires. I get these blood sugar problems, as well, sometimes and so have to watch it, also. Have a super weekend.

Jeanette, sounds like fun shopping to me. I need some lamps, as well, but I think after deadline... The slim series really looks good, Jeanette.

Well, it's off to work for me. Probably will do a bike ride later. Am so glad my bike is fixed.

Hi Becky!

Have a dazzling day and a super-fun weekend.:7

Hi Jeanette & Rhea & Becky!:)

Time to figure out what the week ahead looks like as far as workouts go. Sat. was the last half of IMAX3. Was supposed to do the leg portion of Supersets today, but I didn't -- it's my day with my DH. So... I'm still taking it easy -- feel more and more like myself, but apparently, it's taking me a bit to get over this spider bite, and I'm still in detox mode. So here's the plan of attack:

Mon: Supersets -- full version -- or maybe just the legs
Tues: IMAX2 -- last 1/2 of it
Wed: Steady state cardio & stretch
Thurs: Push/pull
Fri: IMAX3 -- first 1/2 of it -- or maybe the last 1/2 cause I really like interval 9 & 10
Sat: HSC -- short premix
Sun: Off

Hope you all had a dazzling weekend and are ready for the week ahead. Know you're probably plowed under with books, Becky, but hope to hear from you soon.

Is anyone planning to do to the road trip? I know that I can't. Already have plans for August. But it would be fun, wouldn't it?

Have a fabulous day and some super workouts!:7

Good morning,

Today was Jari Love's GR 1000. This was a good workout and had me sweating with the cardio intervals and then compound lifting. I liked it fine. She's very thin though. Yesterday's bike ride was tough in the wind (50 miles, 3,500' of climbing). I enjoyed the effort though, and the tailwinds when we could get them. Good company too.

Rhea, I love Macaroni Grill and the chianti wine too. Hope you got some really snazzy tires and wheels. I've run into a little snag on my woodstove purchase. Should know more today if the deal went thru. I also shopped on Saturday here at Robbins and found some pictures. It was fun putting them up in the house. New furniture will arrive in April. Can't decide if I want it in the family room or living room.

Karen, bet you had a nice day with your DH. I hope to get out with mine next Saturday for a full day of riding the Rhino and taking the dogs out. Glad the spider bite is getting better. Enjoy Supersets today!!!

Jeanette

Good Evening!:)

Supersets was great today -- did the entire workout. And managed to write 6 pages today. I figured out that in order to make my deadline, I need to write a minimum of 8 pages a day -- but I think I'm going to go for 15 a day target -- as this is the last book in this series and so the ending is crucial.

Tomorrow is the latter half of IMAX2 -- weight is gradually coming in check, too. Probably a result of getting rid of these toxins in the body -- mainly, I think the spider bite. Amazing how that has effected me over such a long time period.

Jeanette, I am so impressed with you and your bike riding -- 3500' of climbing -- and here I am complaining about a mere hill. And 50 miles. I bet it was fun, though.

New furniture and the woodstover -- hope the deal goes through.

Rhea, how was your weekend of shopping and working out?

and Becky -- hope you are not buried with your books.

Well, I've much to do tomorrow -- I'm still playing catch-up with the book -- I've had to go back and fix things -- always hard to get in my page counts when I do that.

Have a super, dazzling day tomorrow and some terrifically effective workouts!:7

Good morning,

Today was Lowmax premix 1-4 and then I added on the abs from LIC. Good workout. If it's nice after work today, will get out for a spin on my bike, easy one, just to spin out my legs from Sunday's ride. That was a toughie, especially with the wind.

Karen, so glad you are feeling better and getting your pages written each day. What is the name of this book? Do you have a tour coming up this year? I remember last year you were in Florida for quite some time.

Rhea, nice little soaker we got yesterday, huh? Then snow. Should be 70 in Reno this weekend. DH and I are hoping to take the Rhino out Saturday, probably out past Wendel where it will be dry.

Good workouts,

Jeanette
