Hi Jeanette & Becky & Rhea & Natalie!:)

Starting a new one for this month. Hi everyone!

Hope everyone is doing well today. Made my deadlilne -- the editing is done, I'm printing up the book in preparation to send it off, and yea!

Was up early to get it done. Whew!

Am taking today as my offical day off since I've not been able to get in a workout. But Jeanette, I'm sure you're having fun,and Rhea, I bet you're busy.

Becky--hope your day is great and that your studies aren't too strenuous.

And Natalie, hope you are doing well, as well.

Well, I'm off to get this book sent off and then...simmer down a bit.

Have a super day, everyone and terrific workouts!:7

Yippee for Karen! Congrats on finishing the book.

I am not in class yet...not until Aug 14th, but I am prepping for the beginning of class (slowly though).

Today I did LowMax in the AM and then after work I did BodyBlast Series Timesaver #2 (but skipped the weight work)...so that TS was warmup with SB, SB combo 3, SJP cardios 1 and 2 and then some abs finished with a stretch from SB. Sometimes after work I feel antsy, so a bit of cardio helps calm my nerves and destress me.

Hope everyone had a great day!

-Becky

Good morning ladies.

This morning I did HC Extreme Interval Circuit followed by abs from PS Legs & Abs.

As of yesterday, I met my goal weight. I am now steady at 125. I guess my new target is 120, but I am not sure I will get that low while building muscle. I only have 3 more workouts in my HC Fat Loss rotation and this rotation has served me well. It has taken off 5 more pounds! Monday I am starting Cathe's Cardio Blast rotation.

I hope everyone has a great day and great workouts!

-Becky

Hi Everyone!:)

YEA Becky! Congratulations on making your weight goal. Go, Becky!

Also sounds like your weight is right where it should be. Sometimes it's not good to "nag a rise," statistically speaking, although going a little lower than where you want to be weight wise might give you a "comfort" zone. I know I have about a 6-7 pound range that I like to stay in -- not going above it, or below it.

Becky, I love your rotations. They are inspiring, actually. Where did you find the HC Fat Loss rotation? Although I am not overweight, over the deadline time, I've put on about 2-3 lbs that I wouldn't mind losing. Right now I'm at the high end of my comfort zone on my weight -- nothing that requires heavy dieting, but would just be more comfortable if it were a pound or two lower. So, am thinking of this HC Fat Loss rotation. Particularily seeing how well it did with you.

Am in sort of a rut on my rotations -- but have kept it the same during deadline, as the deadlines are stressful enough without adding to them something that might prove unpredictable.

Anyway, I changed my rotation a bit today, cause I really wanted to do both cardio and weights -- so I did BootCamp and remembered again how much I like this workout. It was great.

Okay, so have a great day everyone. I'm off shortly to get my hair trimmed. It's been 6 months and is really due.

Jeanette, hope you're having a blast on your trip, and Rhea, if you're lurking on the website today at all, I wish you a wonderful day.

Super workouts everyone! And again, Becky, a hearty well- done to you!:7

HI all!

Just a quick hi and thanks for thinking of me.....today was a very hard day. One of my clients had at least four seizures....I witnessed four, heard about more. Other clients were just uncooperative and I have trial tomorrow. I was ready to quit, too much stress. But I bought my self some flowers and listened to some good music really loud in my car with the sunroof open, so I'm a little better (well, half a xanax helped.) Now I'm about to go home and finish some details on the trial and drink wine, eat dinner, have a full xanax and have a great nights sleep.

Talk to you later!

Thanks Karen!

I found the HC Fat Loss rotation on Cathe's rotation section. It is on that thread with all of her old rotation URLs listed. Here it is:

"ROTATION THREE: Fat Loss...(REMEMBER TO EAT CLEAN!!!!)

Weeks 3 & 4

Thurs: 30 minute run PLUS 1 Coremax seg PLUS 1 Stretchmax seg

Have Fun Everyone!

Edited to add that on week 4 of the Fat Loss rotation, replace Saturdays workout with Musclemax."

Oh, and I did an add-on tonight after work. I did CTX 10-10-10 cardio only. I just got CTX yesterday, so I had to try one!

Have a great night!

-Becky

Good morning ladies.

Karen, I hope you got that manuscript out in the mail. Congrats on being done!

This AM I did Step Max follwed by about 20 minutes of ab hits (I really need to work on planks...I am so weak there). I have a friend coming over in 20 minutes and we're going to do KickMax together. (I am trying to turn my friends into Catheites). Oh, Karen, I had to mix up week 4 of the rotation I posted for you last night since I am going to be in a hotel on Saturday. I will do Kickmax today instead of Fri, MuscleMax on Friday instead of Saturday, and a run on Saturday (since the hotel has a workout area with a TM) instead of on Thursday.

Tonight I have to help a friend move and then come home and pack. DH and I are flying up to Pennsylvania tomorrow night for a wedding on Saturday. It is his cousin's wedding, so we'll get to see all of his family. We don't get to visit either of our families very often since we live in Florida (and I am in school and he works full time) and they all live up North (my parents in Ohio, his dad in St.Louis, his mom in NJ...30 minutes from Cathe!) We even have to alternate Christmases...so it is every 3 years at each house. Actually, after this wedding, the next time we'll visit his mom will be Christmas of 2008. Wow. (I plan to visit Cathe during that trip:) )

Anyway, enough about that.

Jeanette and Rhea, I hope you two are doing great. How have your workouts been?

-Becky

Edited to say that I hadn't noticed that Rhea posted. I guess we kind of posted at the same time last night. I am so sorry about your evening yesterday. I hope the wine and xanax worked.

Hi Ladies!:)

Rhea, I'm so sorry that you witnessed your client have seizures -- and four of them. Hope you had a better day at work today. Thanks for posting, though, to let us know. Geez, I don't know what to say, except hopefully, it gets better from here.

Becky -- thank you so very, very much for posting that rotation. I'm going to do it -- starting next week. I don't have all the DVD's so I'll have to substitute a bit here and there -- but I would like to just take off a pound or two and so I'm going to try this. Like I said, I'm in a bit of a rut on my rotations.

For example, after doing Bootcamp yesterday, I'm actually sore today -- I hardly every get sore -- which means to me that I'm in that rut, and not pushing myself into doing other things but those DVD's that I love.

I'm on my husband's computer, or I'd print off that rotation -- but tomorrow, when I'm back at my own computer, I'll print it off so I'll have it.

Becky, I'm weak on planks, as well. Each time I do them, I try to go a little longer, but it is a weakness with me, as well.

Oh, I'm so glad you got CTX. That's the series I plan to get next royalty period (means I'll have money). Jeanette loves them and talks about them often, so I'm really looking forward to getting them -- as well as the new ones, as soon as they're out.

Have a terrific time at the wedding -- I so love weddings. Too bad that you have to alternate Christmas's -- but my kids do the same thing -- with us one year and with my daughter's in laws the next. At least you get to see them every few years, which is good.

I'm originally from the general St. Louis area -- from downstate Illinois -- about 96 miles from St. Louis. It's a really pretty area of the country. Love it every time I go back there.

For me today, it was cardio and stretch -- did 30 minutes of the first part of BodyMax -- really like that whole workout, but rarely have the time to do it entirely. Then I walked to cool down and then a stretch on the ball with Cathe.

We are planning to go see a friend tonight in Hollywood -- she's a comedy writer and stand up comic -- hopefully we'll be able to get in -- I think the show is sold out. If we do get in, it should be fun.

Have a good evening, everyone, a terrific day tomorrow, good workouts -- and Rhea, hope it gets better.:7

Good morning all!

Well, things got a bit better. Trial actually settled instead of going through the grind. I've had a bit of attorney remorse since, keep thinking that I could have got him off of all the charges, but it is always a risk going to trial and there were some facts that just didn't look good. Once the jury doesn't like something, they can use that one little yucky fact to hang their hat on...oh well.

So, now I'm prepping for the next one which is in two weeks. I went home early yesterday and took a great nap (the kind that is hard to wake up from) Still didn't want to get up this morning, so my body is starting to work on the stress. Of course, it could be part of the detoxing that the homeopathic (sp?) doc has me on too. I've been put on some herbal supplements to help with the kidney's balance, the bowels and my sinuses. My main problem is the sugar and so we're doing the avoid sugar diet too. (may be a candida problem with the bowels) I should have known, sugar effects me way too easily.

I'm going to start back up my workouts tomorrow, give my body another day's rest just in case.

Looks like everyone is doing great! Becky, you're exercising enough for me too...Thanks!

Karen - I'm so glad deadline is here and gone. Now you can have some fun. When does your other book come out? (not the one you just wrote, but the last one)

Jeanette - How've you been? I haven't seen you post, so you must be off doing something.

Have great workouts today!

Rhea, enjoy that rest and detox.

Today I did MM in its entirety. I didn't have time to do any cardio afterwards. I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off prepping to fly out tonight to PA for a wedding tomorrow. (I did take the time to get a manicure and pedicure this morning though)

Since I won't be able to check in tomorrow, I plan on doing iTread#7 (40min)on the hotel TM followed by segment 1 of coremax and segment 3 of stretchmax.

Sunday is supposed to be a rest day, but depending on how I eat at that wedding, I may have to add some cardio in.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

-Becky

Hi Rhea & Becky & Jeanette & Natalie!:)

Have fun at the wedding, Becky. I'm sure you will. And the trip should be good, too, huh?

MM is a great workout. I did a strength one today, as well -- Power Hour -- haven't done it in a while and again, I'm asking myself why. It's a great workout. Went for a walk afterwards, as well.

Rhea, actually maybe it's good that the client did settle -- like you said, if going to trial produces a risk... And at least the next trial isn't for a couple of weeks. Time enough hopefully to give the ole body some rest.

I have to watch my sugar, too. Even with fruit -- I've gotten so that I only eat fruit every 3 days or so. And as long as I do that -- get my carbs through veggies or something, my sugar seems to be okay. Years and years ago, I also had candida -- handled it through diet again -- but what a diet -- I was so happy to get off that diet -- I believe it was grains (soaked whole grains) and meat, eggs, and veggies. No sugar, no fruit except for lemon, no processed foods of any kind, no milk. It was a tough diet and I think I actually lost weight on it, which at the time wasn't my goal -- but I believe I lost about 15 pounds or so on it. Tough diet, though.

Anyway, it is so nice to be off deadline. Now, I can go back to my regular work schedule, where I write every morning and then do other work in the afternoon (like promotion or paying bills or whatever). It's a schedule that I like and is easy to do. Hopefully with the next book, I'll start it sooner and just work at it steadily until it's done.

Hi Jeanette -- hope your week was fun -- can't wait to hear about it.

Have a terrific weekend everybody -- a wonderful time at the wedding, Becky, and of course super workouts.:7

Good morning Karen, Rhea, Becky and Natalie:

So good to be back and catch up on all the workouts while I was gone. You all are keeping at it, of course, and totally inspire me.

My bike trip was WONDERFUL! Our original plans were to go to Bend, Oregon but after repeatedly checking with the locals, we determined on Sunday night (the night before we were to depart) that it would be too smokey to enjoy the scenery, plus not good for the lungs. We decided to go with our second choice which was the Ashland/Medford, Oregon area (which I love). Ashland is about 3 1/2 hours from Susanville so our travel time was much shorter than if we'd gone to Bend so that was nice too.

There were 5 of us ladies and mostly all of us had the same goals for this trip which were to cycle from 40-60 miles a day (for 3 days), eat at nice restaurants in the evening and be near some shopping. We definitely covered all of those and were drawn to the historic town of Jacksonville for 2 our our evening meals after the rides. Highly recommend that little town for their shops, museums, great restaurants and beautiful Victorian homes. Anyway, we had perfect weather, good roads and low traffic (mostly) and beautiful scenery. Highly successful trip and we all had a blast. One of the ladies (she's near 60 and didn't prepare as much) was getting a bit tired toward the end so we didn't do quite as many hills or miles as we could have but it was okay anyway. I'd like to take my DH up there and stay in a B&B for a couple of nights. Must plan that sometime.

Well, back to my workouts again. Think I will do 2 more weeks of circuit style workouts before changing up. Today I did a Step Blast/SJP/weights premix for 85 minutes. It was fun.

I have lots of housework to do today, mow lawns and get stuff ready for a BBQ here tonite. DH and our sons went wood cutting today. I should have gone to help but there is so much I need to do here so I opted out.

Karen, so glad you met your deadline, but I knew you would. Time to start having some fun? Power Hour is another one I know I will buy sometime. If I remember right, I liked hearing the music in it.

Rhea, glad we are not having the 100 degree temps, hopefully it will stay below that for a while. It's hoot owl for woodcutting so DH and sons will have to be done cutting by 1 p.m. today. My folks also went to get some smaller sized wood as that's what they like to burn in their indoor cook stove.

Becky, hope the wedding is fun for you. Way to go on meeting your goals. I'd like to lose a few but it's sure tough. I've got a feeling if we all knew what Cathe weighed we'd be surprised. Just my feeling on this.

Must get going now, glad to be back but it was a fantastic trip!!

Jeanette:7 :7

HI Ladies!

Jeanette, it really sounds like a heavenly trip. Makes my mouth water -- so to speak. By that I mean, makes me want to do it, too. Thanks for letting us know all about it -- we were all wondering how it was -- I imagined it would be beautiful, especially since that part of the country is so pretty. Jacksonville, OR sounds wonderful -- funny, cause I thought Jacksonville, FL was also pretty -- I remember being surprised at how pretty it was. Anyway, so glad it was good and glad you're back.

Your work out sounds good. Those circuit workouts are challenging.

Becky -- hope the wedding was great. If you have a moment, would love to hear about it.

Also, I want to do that rotation you wrote -- I have it all planned, and then last night I ate some fish -- and it must have been contaminated with shell fish -- I'm allergic to shell fish -- and I got very sick last night -- and am still fighting it off today -- so I don't know if I'm going to be well enough to start this tomorrow -- I might just make my workouts walks until my body gets rid of whatever this was that I ate.

Called the place where I got the fish so that they know that it was probably contaminated with shell fish -- my brother-in-law also had allergic reactions -- we're both allergic -- my hubby had no reaction whatsoever -- but then he's not allergic to shell fish.

Rhea -- hope you had a good rest this weekend and are all set to start the week fresh.

I usually post my workout shedule on Sunday, but not being sure of how well I'll be tomorrow, I'm going to hold off until I know. Right now, I can only eat yoghart and kefir -- anything else actually hurts my stomach.

Okay, well, am looking forward to hearing from you all at the start of a new week. Have a great day and wonderful workouts.:7

Karen, I hope you feel better today. Nausea is no fun.

Jeanette, sounds like you had a great trip!

Rhea, I hope you feel rested up now!

Today I started Cathe's Cardio Blast rotation. I did SJP. I had never done that one before and it was fun!

At the end of my HC Fat Loss Rotation, I weighed in at 123.5 (down from 129.5...and that 129.5 was down from 144 before I started Cathe) Anyway, so I am definitely where I need to be. It is exciting to be so fit!

The wedding. Well...that is quite a story. The ceremony and reception were wonderful. Everything went off there without a hitch. The bride was beautiful and their first dance was so well choreographed...I have never seen anyone dance that beautifully.

BUT....
getting there was the problem. Our flight from Tallahassee to Charlotte was delayed in the air making us barely make our connection flight to PA. They lost our bags! We had just bought my DH a new suit and myself a new dress and they were no where to be found! The wedding started at 2pm and we had to go to the mall at 10am and puchase EVERYTHING new! I am talking about shoes, underwear, belt for DH, suit, tie, dress...the Clinique counter even did my makeup. We did all of this in 2 hours! Then we went back to the hotel, took all the tags off of everything, ironed, got ready, and barely made it to the ceremony on time! It was crazy! The people at Macy's were so helpful. I am going to write that store a thank-you letter, along with a picture of my DH and I dressed up in their outfits. Hopefully I can get US Air to give us some cash. People have to be able to take weekend getaways without fear of having no luggage. Our bags arrived at 3:30 and they were transported to our hotel. Too little too late though. We had already spent around $800-1000 on new clothes. We did have pajamas that night though and that was nice.

Oh, and our bags did arrive back in Tallahassee.

Anyway, I will post some new pics on my www.mcgilligan.us site tonight of my "after HC Fat Loss Rotation" pics.

I hope everyone has great workouts today!

-Becky

Good morning ladies!

Becky! Oh my gosh! What a trip! So glad the wedding was nice but you could have done without the extra expense and hassle. Sounds like you rolled with the flow as best you could. Commendable for sure. Can't wait to see your new pictures.

Karen, I'm sure hoping you've recovered from the reaction from shellfish. Can't be any fun at all. I know of others that avoid it due to the ill effects also. Good that you let the place know about the shellfish. Hopefully we will see your rotation for the week posted soon.

Yesterday's workout was a bike ride (52 miles) with some friends. I was the youngest in the group at 47. The others are all in their 60's and one guy is in his mid 70's but these people can cycle very well and are a pleasure to be with. Told DH that I'm so lucky with all the nice people that cycle here. Later in the afternoon DH and I took the dogs out to the woods/river and we just relaxed. It was very nice.

Today' workout was CTX Kickbox and then 30 minute premix of Eoin Finn's Power Yoga for Happiness. Tomorrow is our club's monthly bike time trial. I'm crossing my fingers for a less windy day than the 2 previous time trials have been. I have to look back and see what my previous times were, hoping to beat my best time, we'll see.

Rhea, hope you are back to your workouts. How has golf been? Are you a golf addict? So many people love the game, I think I could too. Just too much right now to start any new hobbies.

Must go now. Back to work after a week's vacation. I should have put some side racks on my inbox cuz it will be overflowing I'm sure. The down side of vacations....

Have great workouts today!!

Jeanette

Good morning everyone!

Oh my Karen - I sure hope you are feeling better today. Take it easy and let the body heal (I'm sure you already know that!)

Becky - I feel for you. I've had my luggage lost too...but no shopping nearby. I was staying at the Atlanta Airport Hotel. I'm going to have to go and see your pictures.

Jeanette - sounds like a great weekend. I was bartending at the golf course this Friday and Saturday, so I was actually working....hmmm...
DH was supposed to be helping, but that didn't last long. We realized that doing the volunteer work wasn't such a good idea. We pay for all the drinking too....so we're actually paying to bartend! But that's not the point, we're having fun and helping out. Plus I made pretty good tips.

I'm going to try to be back to my workouts today. I'm going to start off a little easy (if my mind will let me, my mind always wants to do the ones I just love even though my body may not be up to it yet.) Plus I want to try and squeeze golf in, not much left in the season. Golf is a love/hate relationship. There are days that you love it and there are days that you want to sell your clubs. I've even seen guys that have been playing for years want to sell their clubs after a really bad day. Maybe that's why they drink so much when the day is done!

Well, gotta run, still have a busy week ahead. After next week, things should slow down. Yeah, right.

Oh, BTW, DH got called for my jury trial next week. Think he should sit on the jury?

Hi Everyone!

Wow, what interesting weekends you all had. Becky, your weekend sounds like a movie could be made from it. That's really making it go right, though -- yea, for Macy's. Macy's is one of my favorite stores -- that's for sure. Glad the wedding was good, though. I've had airline lose my bags, too, but not for something important like this.

Of course I had to go and look at the picts, too. -- the recent picts -- nice clothes, by the way...

Loved the before and after picts of your workout images -- what a great feeling, huh? And also loved the tubing picts -- you are so slim and pretty in them. Great, too, on starting a new rotation.

Jeanette, so nice that you're back. We sure did miss you. Great workout with 52 miles. That's how I want to be when I get into my seventies -- in fit shape and still exercising. Love seeing the CTX rotations you're doing. It really is next on my list to get -- the CTX series.

Oh, and go get 'em on that time trail. Hope you beat your time, and that the wind is kind.:)

Hi Rhea -- sounds like fun, bartending at the golf course -- good way to meet people, too, I would think. That's interesting that you have a love/hate relationship with the game. What do you love most about it?

Oh, and your DH has been called for one of your trials. Yeah, don't think he'd be at all swayed, do you?

Anyway, my workout today, cause I wasn't sure I was all recovered or not, was about a 55 minute walk. I've lost a couple of pounds over this -- due to not being able to eat anything but yoghart and milk -- homemade ice cream fits in there, too. Tonight I was able to eat a little bit of a hamburger without the stomach getting upset -- so maybe I'm over the hump on this thing. At least I'm hungry again. Haven't been hungry these past few days and have had to force myself to eat. This is not a good way to lose weight, however.

Okay, so I'll probably do my standard rotation and then start the fat burning rotation next week. Let the body recover a little bit more even yet. So tomorrow, I'll plan to do one of the IMAX's -- probably IMAX2 since it's the shortest and the most fun, as well.

Am working on the proposal for the next book -- think we'll see if my editor will like a book about one of the Wild West shows -- put the story in the 1890's -- a little later than what I usually write about. It'll be the last book in this partiular series. I figure I have the synopsis about half done right now.

Okay, so have a good day tomorrow, everyone and super workouts!:7

Good morning ladies!

Jeanette, what a motivation to go quickly! Before I started med school I was a member of a women's only gym and there were a lot of senior citizens in the step class. They were all right on the mark and they definitely motivated me to give all I could. I didn't want them to outdo me!

Rhea, I hope you had fun golfing.

Karen, wow. Another book already. You are just so creative. I wish I had a little more right-brainedness, but I am pretty much left-brained and scientific.

Yesterday was my 2nd anniversary and we went out to Bonefish Grill. I have just recently started eating fish and it was really good. DH got me roses (on my website there is a pic). It was a great anniversary. Last year on our 1st anniversary I had to study for my anatomy final. This one was much better!

Today I did IMAX 1 followed by abs from Leaner Legs. DH and I will either do 20 minutes on the ellipticals tonight or some yoga (maybe both if I can convince him).

I hope everyone has great workouts today!

Good morning ladies:

Today was Cardio & Weights for me with a bike time trial tonite. Unfortunately, last night was windy so I fear it will be windy tonite. I'll just give it my best shot anyway.

Karen, I'm impressed how your mind is always working ahead and now on a new book! You are amazing to me!!! I'm glad you are a little better. Soon you'll get all your strength back. Do you still think it was something you ate or a flu bug?

Becky, happy anniversary to you!! Hope you enjoyed your time out. I love to eat fish too and usually have that when we go out for a nice dinner. I'll have to go check out your pictures.

Rhea, tell me more about the love/hate thing with golf. Have you thrown your clubs in the water yet? Bet it's fun afterwards, drinks and talk and all. Glad you will be getting back to your workouts. And yes, I think they'll kick your DH off. I'm no lawyer, but I'd go out on a limb here LOL!

Great workouts everyone.

Jeanette :7

Good Evening, Ladies,

Am posting late again. For me it was an official day off -- got up and had an appointment with the bathroom x( and then got a little bit of the same thing going again. I was going to do a walk, but never felt quite up to it before I had to go and meet a friend. Now, I'm feeling much better -- had some broth for supper -- but it's a little late to work out. Hopefully tomorrow will be better...

Yes, I think it was the fish -- it's the same kind we have every week -- just this was contaminated with something, I guess -- my guess is shellfish, since both my brother-in-law and I are allergic. Anyway, I'm hoping that tomorrow will be better...knock on wood.:)

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Becky!! Yes, I think going out to dinner is much better than cracking the books for an exam. May they all be so wonderful. :7

Of course I had to go and look at the flowers -- I'd seen them last night but didn't know their significance -- beautiful -- and red -- hope they last for a long time and fill the house with fragrance and warmth. (Love flowers)

Thank you Jeanette and Becky for your compliments. But you both could do it, you know. Like I said, it's just a matter of putting in those page counts each day...of course one has to come up with a story, but we all dream and writing is sort of like just writing down your dreams. And being scientific is great! Need more like that.

Isn't IMAX 1 great? Love that workout and can't wait to get back on track again. May do Push/Pull tomorrow since that's a little bit of an easier weight full body workout -- on some of it is on the ball -- which I really like. And maybe a walk. Hopefully that will get me back in the swing of things without too much effort.

Rhea, hope your work week isn't too strenuous... Still like the idea of having your hubby on the jury...

Have a terrific day, everyone, and great workouts!:7
