KK's August Check In

What is this...a 10-10-10 fest! I did it today too!

I did Step and Intervals (cardio only) followed by 10-10-10 (cardio only).

Quizzes today went great. So far this week, 3 down and 2 to go. Must go study pathology now.

I hope everyone has a great night (at least better than mine :) )

Good evening Ladies!:)

Wow, it looks like you three all did 10-10-10. I'm going to have to break down and get the CTX series. It is actually All Step that was my first Cathe workout (came with a step) -- will start saving for the series.

It was the first section of Power Max for me today -- Becky you reminded me of it. Then a good stretch.

Boy, that blog is really a teaser. Can't wait for the new videos. I think the crew just keeps looking better and better -- all of them. Did you read, Jeanette about Brenda's bike riding in her bio?

Becky -- well done on those quizzes, and on being able to study while doing the elliptical machine...wow!

Rhea -- doesn't it feel good to be sore? When my daughter started exercising regularly, she was so sore for a week -- she loved it! Love those outfits. I think only Cathe (or a model)would dare wear a top that was white on the outside covering the waist. She's so slim and trim.

Jeanette -- camping sounds like fun. Someday I'm going to have to clean out our motor home, as well -- as I'd like to go camping, too.

It's evening now, so I will wish everyone some terrific workouts tomorrow and a fabulous day.:7

Good morning,

A little off on my workout this morning as DH had to go to work an hour early, but I did 1/2 hr. of Christi Hi-Lo Heaven and got a little further along with it. You definitely have to keep thinking with these but I do really like them. Last night DH didn't want to work out so I did Push/Pull upper body premix 2 times. I really enjoyed this workout. You don't hear a lot about it, but I found it a good workout. I do need to get some 20# DB's someday.

We decided to go camping this weekend and cut firewood. We're also going to buy a Yamaha Rhino on Friday afternoon. It's like a side-by-side quad (think very small Jeep), so this camping trip will be combining work and play.

Tonite is my hill climb race so another reason for the easy workout this morning. This race will be grueling to say the least but there will be others there suffering just as much. It just feels so good when you are done. Sick, huh? Anyway, I'm going to try to beat my last time of 46 minutes to the top. We'll see. Hope there isn't wind tonite.

Karen, hope you can someday get CTX. I always think of you when I do any of the workouts on it. I just think you would enjoy them. I like All Step too. After doing Christi Taylor's, Cathe's choreo is a breeze.

Rhea, what are you doing for your vacation? Good for you for doing Meaner Legs. So glad you are feeling better.

Becky, way to go on the quizzes. Funny how we all did 10-10-10 yesterday!

Have great workouts today!

Jeanette

Good morning!

Jeanette - I'm still laughing...Meaner Legs....oh it is sooo true. I'm still sore. In fact, sore enough that I'm really slow to sit down.

Yesterday I did an oldie...Step Heat. I actually ended up doing it in two sections. DH came home and wanted to golf. I couldn't let him go by himself...LOL...so I went and played nine holes, then came home popped in dinner and then finished up the second section of Step Heat and added on Core Max #2. I like the older ones as a great change; they're not as complicated, not so much jumping and much more steady pace. The outfits and background crack me up, but, it was the 80s.

Karen - you would like CTX, it has great variety. I'm thinking of using it straight for six days as a rotation. A lot of the workouts have cardio and then one body part. (i.e., shoulders, chest and biceps)

Good luck on your bike ride tonight Jeanette.

Becky - great job on your quizzes. It will be a fun weekend when it is all over huh?

Okay, appointment is here. I'd better read the file real fast.....

Hi Ladies!:)

It was ME for me today. Had me straining -- really like that workout. But the Intensity series is still my favorite series -- but then I don't yet have CTX -- notice I said, not yet...;-)

Jeanette -- I'll be thinking of you tonight on your ride. Hope you beat your time. Know what you're saying though. Isn't it great to workout hard and then it just feels so good after?

Have never tried the Premix of up only -- I'm going to have to try it -- I know I like that up only premix in PUB.

A Yamaha Rino, huh? Wow! Have a fun time shopping...

Rhea -- Your comment about the outfits in the old ones made me smile. I think the same thing when I do them. But I do like them for a change, as well. Well done on getting back to the workout after golf. Not sure I could have made myself do that, so...Wow!

Becky -- hope those exams are soon done and you'll be enjoying your weekend. I was just reminded that this is Labor Day weekend. I'd forgotten.

Got a first look at my new cover yesterday. It's a good one. Boy, the guy on the cover... What great abs. That was the thing I noticed first off -- wow, what abs...:+ He doesn't look too Native -- but he sure is good to look at. It's a super cover...

Love Cathe's blog -- and can't wait for the new workouts.

Well, must get back to work. Have a terrific day everyone and of course, wonderful workouts.:7

Good evening ladies. I guess tomorrow we'll have a new thread to post under. I can't believe tomorrow is September. (Happy thought that hurricane season will be over soon...no biggies yet *knock on wood*)

Jeanette, Christi's choreography sure is taxing on the brain!

Rhea, Step Heat is fun. It is definitely less complicated than Cathe's new ones. I think it would be a great workout to do after a test, when I just want to get my HR up without having to think anymore. :)

Karen, I third the suggestion that you get CTX. They are great as add-ons or as workouts in themselves. Good job on ME today!

This AM I did CTX Upper Body. I felt like my chest and triceps were going to fall off! This PM I did a 40 minute iTread at running speed and then walked for 20 more minutes while I read some notes for yet another quiz tomorrow (4 down, 1 to go...still on a winning streak...hope I keep it up tomorrow)

Tomorrow AM is IMAX 2. I am really looking forward to that. Depending on how much time I have, I may add on abs...they haven't been worked as much as usual this week.

Oh, and I am so psyched about the new workouts. I can't wait for Butts and Guts. Definitely need it! Odd how we haven't heard anything about Drill Max. I wonder if it is too cruel to post about? :)

Hope everyone has a great night!

-Becky

I had to edit...I signed my name twice. I think I need sleep.

:)

OOOOh Becky....I think you jinxed us! After reading your post I went and looked at the blog and there it was Drill Max. Oh My, what a workout!

Okay, I just had to come back and say OMG.....Drill Max may stay on my shelf for a while, just because of the scared factor. Cathe actually has a couple of "insert witche's laugh" in there. EEEk! My legs are throbbing just reading the breakdowns.
