But you're right! I've been coming here for four years and I don't care if I'm a newbie and oldie or what. I never thought to classify myself in those terms, or anyone else for that matter!

i find it funny that the birth control topics were deleted. i don't understand what is offensive about it. plus, menstruation is quite tightly tied with a person's physical fitness. anyway...i understand about all the sex topics not belonging, but birth control isn't always about sex. just my 2 cents! :) :)

Candi, maybe lighten up is the wrong thing. Just don't feel bad or sad or mad because, as you said, you didn't think your post was inappropriate and no one did anything wrong. You were being who you are and that's cool! I merely skimmed some of the threads and have no idea where they went. But I do know how these things blow up and then, thankfully, blow away! :) I have read your posts many times and you're the bomb! I hate to think of the participants of the thread feeling upset when no harm was intended. I do trust that if Cathe thinks it went to far, it did. And I also can say that I too have done it and realized it's not important what I think is appropriate but what Cathe thinks. We are a diverse group and this stuff happens. I guess we are always searching for that middle ground and it's hit or miss at times because we are all so different.

I have not posted on this site for about...2 years?
Lots of changes. Really miss my work out buddies! Last I heard from Honeybunch, she had an accident with her horse & Amy was in a body building contest!

Lots of new names and faces. It is really good to be visiting this site again.

A new oldie or an old newbie? I like newdie but be careful, it could be read as Nudie! :) It's just a term. I have been very present in the forums sometimes and absent for long periods of time myself. Right now I pop in, look things over, and go to yoga websites or study tinnitus until my head wants to explode. There was a point when I know I was mocked for my Cathe.com addiction but life changes and so have I and I cannot be the devotee I once was. :) Lately, I feel very much an "oldie but not because of my affiliation with the forums. :)

Was the birth control thread deleted too? I don't see it anymore.....

Anyway, what I was trying to convey was...under the broad spectrum of "adult" topics, those that deal strictly with medical issues seem to be allowed while those that deal with the more general and complex social issues are not. That of course was under the assumption that the bc thread was not deleted. And yes, bc can come under other medical issues, also.
 
ahhhh...i thought someone said it was deleted.

although i thought i did read that someone thought the bcm thread was offensive. ah well, to each her own! :)

Oops, My bad, I guess it was deleted. I think medical issues should be allowed. Like "Have you tried this Birth control brand and what side effects did you have?" would be ok. But "What condoms do you like and why?" would not. It's an interesting and informative question, true, but not for a board with mixed ages.
