Ever see when Charlie Brown brings Snoopy his dog food and Snoopy starts dancing and singing, "it's Suppertime! SUP-SUP-SUPPERTIME!!!!" I swear that's me when lunchtime rolls around. I get so hungry and just watch the clock for the last half hour before I eat. I even have a mid-morning snack!

Donna, are you eating enough for breakfast? What kind of breakfast do you eat? Sounds like it may be lacking.

That is so funny!! I am the same way, lunch can't come fast enough. I just want to run up to the clock and help it along.

I used to feel that way when I used to have any simple carbs for breakfast.
Now I have old fashioned oatmeal w/ splenda and cinnamon...and I make myself a whey protein shake. I'm good for around 4 hrs. Also If I have a 2 egg omelet (1 yolk) and some cheese and sauteed 'shroom, peppers and onions. I'm good for many hours.
Maybe you are having something that is triggering the hunger?? Or maybe not! Something to consider though.

I have a glass of soy milk and a bowl of Kashi Go Lean. That's usually around 6:00 a.m. Then I have a bowl of oatmeal around 9:30 and I eat lunch at 11:30.

Sounds like an excellent breakfast. Are you using the old-fashioned oatmeal? I'm not sure what difference it makes, but my nutritionist insists that it's the only kind to eat.

Maybe you're so hungry just because you're working out alot. A great appetite is a sign of vibrant health, which you are obviously enjoying! Good for you!

No, I eat the Quaker Supreme - which you make in the microwave. I'm at work when I have it and can't really get into the whole "old-fashioned" rigamarole. It's hard enough dumping the envelope in a paper cup and guestimating what a half-cup of water is.:)

I am the same way. I eat a good breakfast, but by 9:00, I'm ready for a snack, and by 11:30 (my lunchtime) I'm climbing the walls with hunger. Now, of course, I eat breakffast at 6:00am, and people generally need to eat 6 small meals a day, so according to that , 9:00 and 11:30 are right on course for those 6 small meals. I usually don't need to eat an afternoon snack, but by the time 6:00-6:30 rolls around, I'm approaching my hunger threshhold again. If I'm especially hungry, I eat a tiny snack before my workout and then prepare dinner afterward.
