How many of us will be arriving at 30th Street Station Friday, July 25? If we can coordinate a time when we'll all be there within a reasonable amount of waiting time, we can share the cost of Rapid Rover to get to the hotel.

Is it too early to ask for all these details?? :p
I believe I'm arriving around 12:30 on Friday, 7/25.

HI Sonja I would love to meet up and share the cost. I was just going to start a thread on it. I will arrive a little early around 11:58 but I can certanly wait up for you to share the cost. I'll wear my cathe t-shirt. Do we call rapid rover now to make reservations or do we wait till the day of?

Hi Kristin. Where are you coming from? I think we should advise Rapid Rover a few days before the trip and then we'll call again about 20 minutes before we want them to arrive. I ordered a Cathe t-shirt and ball cap yesterday so we'll recognize each other instantly! I'll pull this thread back up a week or so before the trip so we can pin down any further details and confirm our meeting spot.

Hi Sonja I will be coming from Stamford Ct. Where are you coming from? Anyways I found a later train so I'll be in Philly around 12 so it'll be closer to your time. I will have to get a Cathe ball cap too. I think that'll be a smart plan with the rapid rover. Which hotel are you staying at? I'm at the Fairfield Inn.

It'll be fun!! can't wait to meet you too.

I agree with you. Please call Rapid Rover a couple of days prior to inform them that you and Kristin (and perhaps others) will require a pickup at 30th St. train station. They will ask you to call the train station prior to 30th Street station so you won't have to wait long.

Kris, I'll be coming in from Harrisburg. I debated on driving because its only a couple of hours away and would be cheaper, but then decided on the train because it will be more relaxing and there will be no worries about traffic. I'll be staying at the Residence Inn, but I think its next to Fairfield so it shouldn't be a problem.

I will be coming up from Virginia, and will be getting in around 12:25 on that Friday. I will get a ball cap/shirt too. I am staying at the Fairfield.

Hi Sheila. Let us know when you make a decision. If you arrive at 11:00 that would be an 1 1/2 hour wait. It might be worth it, though, to save the money on RR. 30th Street Station is a fairly nice train station with places to eat, etc.

I'm wondering, however, about check in times at the hotel. I believe check-in isn't until 3:00 so we would all be arriving early. Does anyone have any thoughts on what to do before check-in? Perhaps we can get in early?

Sonja,

You may be lucky and one of you will have a room ready when you arrive. If not, then I'm sure the hotel will store your bags somewhere while you all go shopping, have lunch, etc. :)

Hi Kris. I figure we about a week before the trip we can try to get a final count on who might be meeting at 30th Street Station on Friday afternoon. Its getting close!

Kris, my plans have just changed. I now have an appointment with an specialist in Phila. Thursday morning and I decided to just stay over Thursday night. So, I wont be arriving on Friday. Sorry!!!

I would love to ride with you and also share a Rapid Rover. I will be arriving at the Philly station around 12 so I will wait for you so we can go together. I will be wearing a cathe hat and t-shirt so I'll be easy to spot. Where are you coming from? I'll be starting from Stamford Ct. I'm going to call Rapid Rover on wednesday to let them know we're coming next Friday. Oh boy it's getting close!!

I will be coming from Roanoke VA (actually getting on the train in Lynchburg VA). I will have a Cathe shirt, but no hat! I am sure we will meet up with each other no prob. Thanks for taking care of calling Rapid Rover!

I am getting very excited as well--I have been trying to ramp up my cardio but not wear myself out BEFORE the road trip in the process! I just think it will be cool to be among others who enjoy working out!

PS--my train gets in at 12:25.

My train on Sunday leaves at 3:55 pm. Any chance yours is around the same time?

Hi Christy,
I just called rapid rover and they told me to call 48 hrs to make a resevation for Friday July 25th. So I guess it means that I'll call next wednesday and tell them to pick us up at 12:30 at the train station. The forums will be shut down for a while so here is my personal e-mail address
[email protected]. On Sunday my train leaves at 1:20 pm so I don't know it you'd want to leave that early. I plan to leave from the Diner around 11 to give myself plenty of time to make it to the train. I don't know if you could change your time. Anyways if the the forums are down just send me an e-mail to confirm your time.
