Hey! There are lots of benefits to being short! Like if you need to get to the front of the crowd - its easy to weave in and out.

Of course, you will need to get to the front of the crowd to see anything :p

I think it's interesting how sometimes our own visions of ourselves can differ from others. For example I am 5'5"--probably would not be considered short especially to those of you who are 5'2" and under. However, I was always small as a child--one of the youngest in my class growing up and a late bloomer as well. So inside I've always felt like a "short" person, in spite of being pretty average (I believe the average height of an American woman is 5'4"). I have a friend who is also 5'5" and she has the opposite experience--she was tall as a child and still feels like a tall person (which is kind of funny since she lives in the Netherlands, who as a nation have the tallest average height in Europe).

Anyway, just a weird thing since anyone looking at us would see two people the same height, and a fairly average height at that.

HeidiSue,

I am also only 5 feet tall (or short as the case may be)! It doesn't bother me to be short now that I am an adult, but I could have used a lot less teasing in high school!

Count me among the shorties! I'm 5'1.75" and my BF is 6'2" so I feel like I fit right in with the crowd here. It is funny how he keeps things so high at his place.

But hey! He is always losing things that I have no trouble finding since they are inevitably on the floor or close to it!! :p
