I think it's interesting how sometimes our own visions of ourselves can differ from others. For example I am 5'5"--probably would not be considered short especially to those of you who are 5'2" and under. However, I was always small as a child--one of the youngest in my class growing up and a late bloomer as well. So inside I've always felt like a "short" person, in spite of being pretty average (I believe the average height of an American woman is 5'4"). I have a friend who is also 5'5" and she has the opposite experience--she was tall as a child and still feels like a tall person (which is kind of funny since she lives in the Netherlands, who as a nation have the tallest average height in Europe).
Anyway, just a weird thing since anyone looking at us would see two people the same height, and a fairly average height at that.
