IMAX2!!

Well, I'm just so proud of myself and I knew nobody else would understand but you wonderful folks on the forum! After finally attempting and mastering Cardio & Weights a few months ago (which I also love), I decided to start working on IMAX2, doing just the premixed intervals till I got the hang of it and today it just all came together for me! Did the whole thing, it clicked, and it was a blast!! I think the music has a lot to do with it, it's very motivating and I just love it! I have to say though...those jumps over the step in Interval 9...wow! I don't remember those fatiguing me quite the same way in Cardio Kicks! :) Anyway, despite my belief that I was completely step-choreo-challenged, I think I was wrong about myself and I think I'm even becoming a step-aholic! lol

IMAX2 is one of my very favorites and I do it about once a week. It is just fun, fun, fun!!! What a great accomplishment! Congratulations!

Thanks, Jo! :) It really IS fun, I don't know why I waited so long to give it a whirl! Now I'm gonna want to do this one at least once a week too! :) I'm ready for that Step Blast DVD now...bring it on! LOL

I fell in love with Imax2 the first time!. It did take a few times to master. One of my favorite ways to use it is I do 2 of the Imax2 intervals and 8-10 min of Nordic Track with the music from the Intensity Series. Then see how long I can go just alternating. The Body Blast Videos are great too. :D

Hi Mckmain! :) That seems like a great and different way to use it also...interesting!! :) I can't WAIT for the Body Blast DVDs...the only VHS I ordered to tide me over was KP&C, which I LOVE...come to think of it, I can't think of any workouts of hers that I DON'T love! lol

KP&C is awesome!. I never did kickboxing until Cathe. I normally run for aerobics but do to an injury I have stayed indoors and used more of my Cathe tapes. I have a bit of an addiction to long aerobic segments, so that's why I added the Nordic Track to the step. I have found the Nordic elevates my heart rate closest to running without the impact. Although the new Body Blast aerobic tapes have got my heart rate up there also.:) I am with you I love all of her tapes. I am waiting for the CTX series!...

Yep, I never did kickboxing either until Cathe! As a matter of fact, Cardio Kicks, along with Power Hour were my first 2 Cathe's (love both of 'em)...and then I moved on to the Intensity Series...I've been pretty much addicted to them since I got 'em! :) Just got the PS DVD and have done legs (which rocks!) but haven't tried any of the upper body workouts yet. The only CTX I have is Kickbox, which I like a lot but not as much as CK...I know I'll eventually have to get that whole series too, lol...I'm starting to think it never ends. :) Hmmm...now you've got me thinking about a Nordic Track (yikes!)...:)

So how does Cardio Kicks compare to KP&C?. I don't have that one or the Power Hour either. I have her first 8 or 9 aerobic tapes, then a few others after that and the Intensity Series was the 1st series I bought. I think I was running marathons in between. When I train for a marathon I don't have alot of time for tapes. Nordic Tracks are cool, although I will admit the first time I stood on it...I about fell on my face..I had initally bought it for my hubby, but that lasted about 3 weeks!..

Mckmain...I really love CK and I've got that same "instant love" feeling with KP&C though I've only done it twice now...I'm sure it's been said plenty of times before, but CK is sort of more "hi-low meets kickboxing" with some really kick-butt punching & kicking drills in the last 20 minutes or so of the workout...it's a great workout. KP&C seems more to me like straight kickboxing...and MUCH more low-impact throughout...I'd say both are equally intense, though, at least in my opinion. I'm wanting to do more of KP&C right now, though I think because it's newer..lol...eventually, I'm gonna have a hard time choosing between the 2 of them. :) Power Hour's a very good endurance workout but I think I prefer Muscle Endurance over it...and I think ME has the toughest core work I've ever done! Gosh...I really admire you for running marathons! :) THAT really takes some dedication!

Thanks for your comparison. Eventually I might have to add Cardio Kicks. I do understand you wanting to do the newer tapes now. I am that same way. I haven't done the full ME tape for awhile. I do the ab & core section about once a week. I like the core section in PUB. Using that stability ball takees some balance and I like exercises on the ball too. As for marathons, I started in 1997 after telling my sister "Oh, I'll never do a marathon!" :) Now I've done 11! And I've draggged her along on many! I did my 1st 50K (31 miles) about 15 months ago. I loved it. Tried to do another one last March but got a nasty aching flu. I had to miss it :-(. Sometimes I still feel like I'm recovering from that flu. Thanks so much for your kind words.

I just finished it - totally agree. An incredible workout and I've finally mastered the step and it WAS fun! Who knew? Even Int #9...x( Nice work!

I just did Imax2 and wondered why I found it so hard today. I was at the 6th interval and realized I had 2 steps on. I ususally use just the 1 riser with the step for Imax2. I finished doing the tape and boy my heart was pumping. I'm 6 feet tall and usually use 2 steps but found Imax2 good with 1 step, because it got my heart rate up enough. It is a fun workout!
