My little (est) brother just called to tell me he has enlisted in the Marines! He leaves for Basic in March  :D I am so proud of him:)

Awww, Jes,

I'm moved by young men who enlist today with full knowledge of what lies ahead of them. Such bravery!! I'll keep him in my prayers.

I wish your brother the best, Jes. I'm proud of him and he's not even my brother. You should probably start him off with some Cathe workouts.;-)

Ha! Funny you should say that Pinky! He has to go for his physical tomorrow and it entails doing 2 pullups...when he told me that, i said, "that's it?" I could do that many! He has done GS chest with me before and he could barely hang with those pushups..so i told him he better get over here and start doing Cathe with me before Basic starts;-) I sure am going to miss him:)

jes

Ha-ha! Let him do BC twice.;-) Then end the session with 100 walking lunges and 50 pull-ups. That's a minimal number, don't you think?

Pinky:)

Ditto that!

That is amazing, Jes! Your brother sounds like quite a young man! Good for him for being so selfless and brave! I wish him the absolute best!!!

It's nice to know that people are still hearing the call to duty even after everything going on in the world. My husband is in the Army now and I used to be in the Army. Tell him I said thank you for joining the ranks and for helping to protect our country too. Basic training is physical of course but really it is more of a mind game so tell him just to be ready for that. They try to break you down but tell him just to stay focused and he'll do fine.

jes, please tell your brother thank you. He will be in my prayers, along with all our other servicemen and women.
