Last Saturday, Sep 17, I had a 5 mile race here in NYC, well well well, I was surprised to win 3rd place category Females 40's.... this is my second time I win a trophy in this category!!!!! my timing was 46min 13 seconds. I tell you after doing the half marathon, which was slow pace long time, what a difference, to run fast, it really was hard work, very intense for me. Thou I am still dealing with empty nest this event made me feel so so so sooooooooooooo happy, I am so happy that I want to say: I love you guys!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

See what you caused Norma? I just returned from a 45 minute run interspersed with sprints and walking lunges! I feel like a million bucks right now as long as I don't look in the mirror! Thanks for your inspiration.

Wow, Norma! That's terrific! And it's not like you were running in some small podunk town with very few participants -- it was in NYC! That's big time!

(No offense to small podunk towns, BTW. I live in one, as a matter of fact. I just think races in big cities are in a different league and might thus be an even bigger accomplishment.)
