I wish I didn't have to ask for this prayer...

I will keep your brother and all your family in my prayers also.
Please have faith and take comfort that God is watching over your brother and always will.

My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. A woman I work with has a mom with breast cancer that spread to the brain. The brain tumors have been kept in check with the gamma knife. She had no complications and felt fine after the treatments. I hope all works out well. Keep us posted.

Just knowing that there are that many more people praying for my brother gives me comfort. My brother is not a religous person but I remember a conversation that I had with my brother shortly after he was diagnosed when he said that he's glad that so many people are praying for him and that it gives him encouragement and comfort when he's told about it.

This experience has put so many things into a different perspective. I'm thankful to you all for your prayers. You are all lovely ladies and I am lucky to "know" you all

Elaine:

I know what you mean about putting everything else in a different perspective. You no longer live life at a superficial level, what seemed important before is no longer important. You know the truly important things in life, to me is faith, family, friends. I find after life threatening issues with my son, I'm such a deeper more caring, all around better person. You strength shines through in your email.

I know during the darkest hours the light is still there and actually in a way it's easier to see. My continued thoughts and prayers are with you and your brother.

HI Elaine,
I am praying for your brother and sending all good wishes and good energy your way.

I thought you might like looking at this. It is something that inspires me:

A friend of mine has a daughter, age 9, who had a brain tumor and underwent chemo. She and her mom organized the neighborhood, friends and relatives locally and across the country to compile this cookbook to raise money for childhood cancer. Luckily, she is now doing fine. Her hair has started to grow back, but miraculously even when she wasn't doing fine she really helped others with her courage and strength. Even now, her ability to cope with life with grace and humor inspires me.
