I tried Fage

Am I missing something? Is there a Fage secret? Because it tasted like throw-up to me! I even tried it w/sliced bananas. I couldn't taste the bananas. All I could taste was throw-up. :confused:
 
I'm guessing you tried the plain? The plain definitely needs a bit of something. I top mine with a drizzle of flax oil and some raspberry preserves then the sliced banana.

Some add chocolate protein powder. It's not for everyone but I love the protein boost.
 
I tried it based on the rave reviews it got here and I thought it was nasty! I just don't get it, and I tried it with honey, agave nectar, fresh fruit, cocoa powder, nuts -- no matter what I add, it still tastes like crap to me. ;)
 
I tried it with flavor already added to it...honey, vanilla and possibly one other flavor I can't recall. It was okay but not worth the cost IMO.
 
I'm not a a Fage person either and I ADORE plain yogurt! I just don't like the thick, sour cream consistency of the greek yogurts. Bleah--give me the runnier stuff anyday! :p

Yay!! I'm not alone. I also went out and bought some based on all the raves and thought it was awful. It tasted more like sour cream and I did not like the texture. I added fresh raspberries and ended up just eating those and throwing out the the rest.

I add chocolate protein to mine with banana slices. I can't eat is plain. It tastes like sour cream. It's good plain on a potato!
 
Probably not "clean" , but I LOVE it with different flavors of Sugar Free/Fat Free Jello Mix. And a spoonful of cool whip!
 
I love it with a tsp of raw honey and crunchy cereal (Kashi) and eat it daily. Then again, I don't get larabars or BSN Clumpy Dessert so who I am I to say? ;)
 
I eat mine with a drizzle of honey. Yum-o!! Also, I have started adding a couple of spoonfuls of The Peanut Butter Co. Cinnamon Raisin PB in it. My heavens, that is some tasty stuff. :)
 
Laura: Um, because we work out so much we are always hungry! Maybe that's why. :) Or if anyone else is like me, I just love food.

I do like Fage, BUT I do a clean eating no-no and add splenda. Then I stir in partially defrosted frozen strawberries (a bunch) and a small handful of Fiber One cereal. If I pretend, it reminds me of strawberry ice cream.

I do a similar thing. I use stevia and then defrosted frozen blueberries. I feel like I'm eating blueberry ice cream.
 
I love nat yog and fage plain, just as they are, no added sugars of any kind, including honey and fruit. I like my tastes simple. I like fruit on its own, fage on its own, the full fat version. It's clean tasting and cuts through the cloyingness of other foods and other tastes.

I don't have it often, but when I do, it's a treat.

Cottage cheese? Straight down the toilet, cut out the middle man.
