I tried Fage

I'm not alone

I thought I was the only one that didn't like Greek yogurt. It was too thick or something. Yucko! It's not cheap either.

I must have missed something, what is fage? Plain Greek yogurt is good w/ sliced scallions, a bit of hot suace, and garlic salt, let it sit few hours in fridge-makes a good dip for chips:)

I stir in a tablespoon of fat free/sugar free pudding mix and some stevia and it's just fine. But I cannot eat it plain. But then I can't eat sour cream plain either, and that's exactly what it tastes like.

I like it because you can eat quite a bit with minimal calories and it has alot of protein.

I'm so happy to know that I'm not along. I actually gave what I had left to my sister for she loves yogurt. She let me know that she didn't like either. So for now I will stick with kroger low carb vanilla yogurt.

I like making it into a salad dressing (add little milk, some garlic, herbs and salt). It is a low cal ranch type dressing. Or without milk and you have a tasty spread for crackers or a dip for veggies.

Sweet, I add fruit (Rader Farms mixed frozen berries) and splenda (or honey etc...)

I think the reason people love it is that the protein grams are so high in it and the calories low (if you go with 0%)

It could be worse!

I think it's mostly a texture (and price) thing! All plain yogurt is sour and hard to eat. Either you like the texture of Greek-style yogurt or you don't. I hate custard-y things, so I hate regular yogurt. I prefer the cream-cheese consistency of Greek-style, which I mix with a little honey, cherry concentrate, and a handful of Kashi granola (and blueberries in season).

Let's face it: It will never pass for a real dessert, but if you like the texture and you're trying to eat better, it's better than a Krispy Kreme! :D

totally! Oh, one thing I've discovered: yogurt gets more tart/sour the older it gets... If you eat it the day you buy it, it tastes totally different than the best by date. ;)

The first time I saw the name of this product, I was also watching reruns of Star Trek Voyager, and there's a race of aliens that are suffering from the "fage/phage" (don't know how it's spelled, but it's pronounced the same): A horrible flesh-eating disease (and they kidnap other alien races to take their skiin and body parts to replace theirs, making themselves into a repulsive patch-work of skiin and tissue).
