I ORDERED STS!!!!

After a year of using Cathe workouts I decided to bite the bullet and ordered STS yesterday!!!!:eek: The new January 3 Month Transformation Rotation was the deal sealer for me! I started the rotation on Wednesday with Gym Styles as a substitute for STS and realized I needed to make the STS commitment so I could really reap the benefits of this rotation! I think that this rotation will be a great way to be "introduced" to STS and then I'll segue into the STS 3 1/2 month rotation!!!!
WAHOOOOO!!!!! BRING IT ON!!!!!

Congrats...probably your best purchase of the year (and the years to follow). You are going to love it. Good luck with the rotation too, it's a killer! STS is the gift that keeps on giving, so versatile!
 
Congrats, Nancy, on your purchase!! I agree with Jenn. Myself, I dropped 20 pounds from STS-Strength alone cause I pushed myself in last series without cardio on the recovery days. Keep us posted on your journey.

FYI, there's a sticky in the STS forum where Cathe comments on almost every STS workout when she did it again a year or two or three after filming...there is lots of great discussion since other Cathletes who were doing STS at the same time also chatted with her. I loved it, since it felt good to hear that Cathe also found some of the moves to be particularly challenging, sometimes struggled to find time for her workouts, and other problems we all have. There are also segments she taped for CatheTV around the same time where she gives similar info and answers some questions from viewers (like proper form for some moves). It's great stuff, so if you're interested, be sure to check it out.
 
I love STS. It is well worth the money. I am doing the 6 month program. I can see alot of muscle growth. Good Luck and congrats on buying it.

I've owned STS for a couple months now and have yet to attempt one of the workouts. I'm thinking I may do the 3-month STS/LIS rotation to see how I like STS before deciding to do a full rotation. Wondering if I should do the one-rep maximum tests for this rotation, since it's not a full STS rotation...
 
Hi Sherry - I think that you should do the 1RM testing even though you aren't doing the full STS rotation, just because then you'll know you're using the weights you should and pushing yourself the way the program intends you to. If you're gonna do it, do it right!

The testing takes a little time, but you won't regret doing it.

Thanks for responding, Melanie. How would you suggest I go about doing the one rep tests? Each week as I go along, like the day before I do the workout?

I agree; you will get the most out of the program if you do the 1 rep max tests 1st. That being said, it took me a lot longer than I thought it would. I ended up doing them as part of my workout. After every workout I would do 10-20 minutes of 1 rep maxes until I had finished them all.

Hi Laura,

Thanks for the info and for the good luck wishes. I am doing a loose version of the one month recharge before starting STS. By loose, I mean when the rotation says STS Total Body, I will use that workout on maybe one day of the week and then do other high rep workouts, including Body Pump at my gym, in its place the rest of the week to prevent boredom - I consider STS Total Body a high rep workout.

A full rotation of STS scares me at this point (don't know why, am I'm advanced). Maybe it's because of the huge preparation work involved doing the one rep maximum tests - how long did it take you to do them? Did you end up needing micro load gloves?

I have had mine for awhile to, not sure what I'm waiting on.

I think it's because I didn't know where to start and the 1 rep max test seemed like alot to figure out.

I think I will start the January rotation in February and do both rotations.

I know STS is an awesome program and will give me great results just waiting for a time when I fully focus on it. There's other Cathe DVD's that I want to revisit as well.
