I hear ya! I have Interval Max -- got it a couple of years ago, when I really wasn't stepping that much. Whoa!! But have no fear -- it's tough, but you'll love it!!! Good luck!!
La Cathe is My Instructor
I shall not cringe
She leadeth me down the path of sweating
And placeth fire in mine thighs
She encourageth me to breathe
And refuel mine muscles.
Yea tho I walk through the valley of the shadow of I-Max
I will fear no step bench
For Cathe art with me
Her smile and her choreography comfort and challenge me
All the days of my life.
Hey Kimba!
This is actually one of my favorite Cathe's. The moves are pretty easy to catch on to, and I get a nice little breather when she does that thing where she jumps 50 feet into the air! I generally just watch in dumbfounded amazment- I even called my DH the first time I saw it. "Hey get over here! There's a crazy woman on the TV!"
Anyway, the key for me is modify, modify, modify! I figure as long as I'm movin', it must be workin'!

I love Interval Max. My goal for that tape is to JUST KEEP MOVING the whole time. Then I feel pretty proud at the end no matter what intensity I wind up doing!
LOL! This is a good one Annette! I love it! Well Interval Max is one of my faves. I do it at least once a week and it never gets boring. Given the importance of interval training and weight loss I think this tape is a must. I've been doing it for awhile and that last interval is tough. I still modify...I do 2 regular jacks and 2 jumps (jumping as high as I can but I can't do that tuck thing after all those grueling intervals) and If I feel fatigued I do just 4 regular jacks. Airborne jacks are too much for me. I used to do them with Gin Miller on that Intense Moves tape that I no longer use but with Cathe I can't. I guess I'm too tired to do those at the end. Oh well the most important thing is finishing the tape and it is oh so relaxing when you stretch.
I rec'd Imax for xmas. It's fun.I love the intensity.I love to tuck and I almost hit my ceiling.I jump on my gym mat as the strain is tough on the knees.I am addicted but my knees are sore so I will have to wait to do it again.I find it amusing that everyone finds it so tough .I found the energy burst easy but since I'm not a stepper it took me three times to get the recovery moves down.Basic step choreography is a challenge for me but I am learning.
