Hydroxycut?

Has anyone had any success taking this? Not planning on anything long term just a little assistance getting started - looking to lose 10 pounds at most.

I did some pills years and years ago and nothing was worth it. I recommend you have some coconut oil every day instead, it has been shown to lean people out. I just started doing bullet proof coffee, except I use green tea, just need a source of caffeine, and despite me worrying I might gain weight due to the added calories, I have actually dropped weight without even trying.

Good luck!

Have you heard of the 8 hour diet? it's a book which BJ Gaddour endorses (I think). I've been doing it for three weeks now and I have seen results. No real changes to what I eat. Instead, I push off breakfast to 10 am and eat until about 6pmish. It's workin' for me so far and it's not hard. I don't snack at night so once I've finished dinner - I am done for the night. No change there and - I don't tend to eat late.

Actually, I think I eat too many breakfasts e.g. shake at 6:40 am, oatmeal at 9:30 am, something else around 11 am, lunch around 12:30 etc. so this works for me. You eventually get over the morning hunger and it doesn't interfere with me working out early either.

Cendrine: Ok, what is "bullet proof" coffee?

Cecififi: what you describe is also a version of Intermittent Fasting. where you are actually fasting for 16 hours out of 24.

I will try bullet proof coffee this weekend. Oil tends to make me feel queasy and I am not sure why. I cannot sit down and eat a bag of chips, a plate of fries, etc... I end up nauseous so I will try this for the taste. And yes, the 8 hour diet is intermittent fasting. I have noticed two major changes with it: weight loss (I don't have a scale so can only go by my jeans) and deeper sleeps. I take bio-identical hormones as I am in menopause so they help me to sleep through the night. That said, since starting this diet, most nights (not all), I really don''t waken at all anymore and feel so much more refreshed in the morning I am not sure how long I will stay on this as I experiment with anything and everything for sport. I will try that coffee recipe though. thanks.

Butter tea is what people drink in cold climates like the Himalayas. It is not used by local people in warmer climates. Personally butter tea is the worst drink I have ever tasted and I would try all sorts of tricks and ruses not to drink it when offered. Granted it was yak butter tho definitely grass fed. You need lots more fat in these cold climates and in a lot of these places food is scarce. Butter tea could serve as a meal for some. Somethings don't travel well and for me this is one of them.

My husband was in Tibet for awhile. He thought yak tea was awful. But, I'm definitely going to give this coffee a try. Just sounds too interesting. I'll try anything once.

Cecififi,

My DH had that problem with any fat or grease, and it ended up being his gall bladder. you might want to get that checked out. He started getting attacks that had him in the ER and they had to remove it.

So has anyone tried it yet? I would be interested to hear what you think. My acupuncturist drinks his with a little stevia. I do mine plain. Dh adds whatever he feels like lol! I only do this once a day on an empty stomach. I do think that consuming it like people in Tibet do, multiple times a day would be too much for me. I have my tea about half an hour before I work out, then I have a post workout breakfast once I'm cooled down. Seems to work well for me. I've had to stay away from many healthy fats for a long time because of food intolerances though, so maybe it works so well for me because my system needed the nourishing fats so badly...

I'm a huge fan of bulletproof coffee and have been drinking it regularly for months now. I actually add 2 raw eggs to mine as well. My full "recipe" is: 2 eggs, 1T coconut oil, 1T Kerrygold butter, splash of vanilla extract, shake of cinnamon, shake of salt - blend all that up in the blender REALLY well, then slowly drizzle in the brewed coffee. When all the coffee is in, do another quick high speed blend to make it frothy. It's the best tasting latte I've ever had. LOVE IT.

I used Hydr0xycut, and it did not do anything for me. Perhaps, it was because I was running 30 to 50 miles a week. I ran too much, and now my patella in my right knee does not track properly. I wear a McDavid knee brace, and I am lucky I can still run but not the extensive mileage I used to do. I ran 55 miles a week to prepare for the NYC Marathon. Crazy, right?

Did you make any other diet changes or just clean eating? I have been curious about this for a while but it sounds so yucky. I like your idea for the latte though. I am menopausal, just doing the natural thing, an my weight is going up even though nothing else has changed.

Your bulletproof coffee recipe sounds delicious. Everything but the raw eggs. I have an aversion to raw eggs. I don't know why. When I was in high school, my friends and I would get together and make a batch of chocolate chip cookies. We would have the dough eaten before it was baked. I'm going to give the coffee a try. Raw eggs and all. Thanks for the recipe.

I am trying to get the correct coconut oil , the only one I have is louanne coconut oil as a solid but I tried it anyway and I did get the kerrygold butter. It tasted Devine !! Loved the tase! But my stomach felt strange, I think it was cause wrong coconut oil? Or to much cause I put two tablespoons and bad thing I read another recipe it said 1 tablespoon so I tried it next morning with less oil and I felt better. Ian hoping to see a difference. I also am using coffee I always use my inspirations for my kurige so not right coffee either. The one online is so expensive ! Any suggestions on how to make it without such a price tag? Eek

I use my Keurig coffee. I also use Costco coconut oil. If I ever feel like I want to spend that much on coffee I will buy the Bulletproof Coffee. But for now, this will do. Sometimes I use the coffee that I grind to make a latte. But it all works, and I must say, it is delicious.
