husband appreciation thread

Ladies,

you do not know how timely this thread is for me.

It seems ironic.

I have just started divorce proceedings after being marreid 10 years, most of them unhappy. Reading this thread inspires me and confirms that without a doubt, I am making the right decision, and that there is hope and happiness out there. What I am reading here is what a partnership should be.

I truly thank all of you for your hearfelt responses about your husbands.......

((((HUGS)))) I am so sorry you are going though this! I hope you find happiness soon!

Since my surgery my DH Darieus took leave from work to take care of me. He is doing the dishes, cleans the house and cooks. He also does the laundry and takes care of the dogs! He is a keeper:eek: Oh! Last week he bought 2 barbells (one for tricpes and one EZ curl bar) for me!

What a great thread!

Looks like we Catheites are pretty blessed with some pretty special DH's and SO's all the way around. Thanks for starting this Miss Kate!

Gotta' tell you all that today and tomorrow my DH is stepping up to the plate (well he does every day anyway ;)) but today and tomorrow he is helping me organize, load up, prep for, deal with, and drive in our 2 local parades where I coach a team of 55 little girls. Now we are talking 55 gals in grades K-8, and he will be right there in the thick of it all with me, getting them signed in, being sure they are safe as we wait for 90 minutes before the parade steps off, driving our parade van, and at the end passing out bottles of water, being sure all gals are safely signed out by parents, distributing all of their backpacks, and everything that makes a team of this size work! As I type, he's hooking up my sound system and loading up. Better scoot! :D Great thread - great men!

Joanna,

I will tell you that this is my second marriage. I had been with my ex for nearly 10 years - 5 of which we were married. I was miserable and did not realize it was a mentally abusive relationship until after it was over. My DH is my "knight in shining armor" and met me when I was at my mentally lowest point in life. He has blessed me with 2 beautiful loving daughters and proves to me every day how lucky I am. Divorce is not easy, but I want you to know that life does get better. Lessons learned from our experiences are what make us the strong and beautiful women that we are today :)

Dh just made me tea for no reason:)

He's my best friend, makes me laugh, and puts up with my craziness. Does chores I hate, like laundry and putting clothes away. He takes care of me, and is always there when I need him. And he never complains when I disappear to the basement to workout for hours, or when I spend $$$ on Cathe DVD's or fitness equipment.

Great thread!
