chasing 3 girls all day im sorely pressed for time and dh is my biggest cheerleader

i started to clean the remnants of fall from the flower beds this week....but can only manage short spurts of time.

i got home from dd's field trip today and he has one of his guys (he's a plumbing contractor) cleaning out all of my flower beds so i dont have to do it!
love him!

whats your dh done for you lately thats knocked your socks off?:D

my DH is a full-time stay at home dad with our 16-month old son (knocks my socks off every day) and 2 days ago they surprised me on my birthday with a huge gorgeous orchid and the iron gym pull-up/chin-up bar i've been wanting. they rock!

what a nice thread..

Mine did some much needed repairs to the house, brought me a big ol' tea from Starbucks this past weekend, and dropped off and picked up my friend and I from the Dead (as in formerly Grateful Dead) show last week when he could have been home in bed sleeping.

Gosh...I could make a list which wouldn't fit on this forum. My DH is my absolute best friend and on a daily basis he makes my life wonderful. (Hope he reads this 'cause I don't tell him enough!) He helps me with chores, cheers me up, is my workout buddy...see the list goes on and on. I am the luckiest woman in the world IMHO. :)

My DH was late from work yesterday....i was kinda worried about him but when he got home he opened the door and handed me my library book that i had on hold at the library! He's such a sweetie:D he knew i was waiting on him to get home so i could go and get it( my car isn't working right now)

Mine washes the dishes daily, makes the bed, cleans the house on the Saturdays I work, drops DS at Kindercare on my late days so I don't have to get up, and is generally just a cool guy. Plus, he puts up with me. Love him!

Feeding the kids every morning, taking the kids to school every day, picking them up from school every day, combing DD's hair in the morning so I'm not late for work, cooking dinner 2-3 nights a week, grocery shopping/Costco runs, laundry...etc., etc.

Not sure how I'd manage it all w/o him!

Awesome thread, Kate!

My DH rocks!! He recently took a pay cut (I'm a sahm), but still gave me the go ahead for STS Cardio, knowing how much I love my workouts. And today did the same so I could use the coupon! He comes home from working 10-12 hours and Swiffers the whole house-every day! He vacuums. He doesn't expect a hot cooked meal every day even though I'm home. He takes our 3 dds on dates:) He tells me how beautiful I am ALL the time-even when I know I look like dirt. He makes me laugh even when I want to wring his neck! He started working out. He is an awesome friend, dad, son-in-law...

Sigh. I can't wait for him to come home!:)

What a great thread!

My DH is my biggest champion and best friend. He makes me laugh every day. Any wacky idea I drag in the door is OK with him. He fully appreciates the time and energy I put into fitness/wellness and encourages me at every turn. In the winter he always warms up my car for me. He rubs my feet when we watch TV. He fixes my coffee in the morning (no one gets it right like he does!) He is good to my parents. He loves my nephews and niece. He calls when he is going to be late. He knows that I prefer wildflowers to roses and brought me some last week. He deals with the cat boxes 'cause I don't do poop.

So many more but I'll stop on that note. :)

Sparrow, mine too! He started when I was preggo and never stopped:) We are all a very lucky bunch of ladies here in Catheland!:)

DH knowing that I wanted the KitchenAid stand up mixer for Mother's Day/B-Day (the inspiration for the "Stand Up Mixer" thread) as a surprise drove up to Miami (we're in the Keys so we have to drive to Miami for any real shopping) last Friday while I was at work to get the mixer early so I could use it for making our DD's birthday cake & cupcakes for her party last Saturday. I was sooooooooooooooo happy and it made the party baking so much fun :p

He does a ton of things on a daily basis that make him special (like putting up with me :D). More importantly, he is an awesome Dad and puts his girls first whether it be taking them to dance, gymnastics or anything. The list goes on... :D

Super thread, Kate, thanks for reminding us of the positive in the people around us :D

ah... my hubby is really a sweet guy. I spent a little more than I should have from our joint account. When i looked at our balance and said."... oh... I spent all our money..." he said " oh.. don't worry about that.." and he really meant it!! He told me to go ahead and get the Kettlebell video that I am "dying" to get.

Also... I have tons of books and one of my bookselves broke from the weight of the books- (it was an old bookshelf) and I said that I was thinking about buying a new shelf. He didn't make any comments about me getting rid of my books... he just put the book shelf together.

Great thread, my DH is wonderful and deserves some love! Everyday he gets our son dressed for preschool, makes sure he eats breakfast, and sometimes even drives him to school even though it is way out of his way. He does all of the dishes, plenty of the laundry, and picks up take-out when I don't feel like cooking (like tonight, damn cramps!). He is just great and my best friend. And pretty hot in the sack, too!;)

No matter what I say or do, he loves me and forgives me.

He calls me in the middle of the day just because he wants to hear my voice and to tell me he loves me.

He is a wonderful father, an absolute gem: when the guys are getting together for Poker, he would rather stay home and play games with the kids.

He loves God and makes Him the center of our family.

He makes sure that he takes me out on at least one date over the weekend, and he treats me like a queen (even when we aren't out).

I never catch him looking at the younger, hot girl that walks by.

He treats my friends like they are his friends, too.

He is flawed, but he is absolutely perfect for me and is in every way my other half, making up for everything that I lack.

We have recently decorated our patio with new furniture; therefore, I spend alot of time outside.

TMS, my sweet DH had prepared breakfast and had laid it out on the patio table for me while I was working out. He also fixed a bath for me and lit candles in the bathroom.

Love this thread.!

As I look around the house I have to strive to find something my beloved DH has not done for me. But it's the little things. For our anniversary we never exchange gifts because it is so close to x-mas. But this year was our 10th, so some how not to my knowledge he went through all of our old photographs and notes we used to pass in class. He even had office slips saved from on day when we skipped school and spent the day at a pond in the woods just hanging out. He compiled all of these things without my knowing into a keepsake book. It made me cry. He is the most thoughtful and caring person.

I Love Him!

Now THAT man is definitely a keeper. ;):D

He really is. :D I told him about this thread and he reminded me that I have no issue useful poop, like our chicken manure that goes on the gardens. So I have to amend what I said to "I don't do useless poop." Utility poop, I have no issue. :D

BTW Gayle, I have to say, I am not a dog person but I love boxers! I've known a couple and they have both been magnificent, amazing dogs!
