HSTA?? Not many comments about this dvd??

I really like this one as well. It is a good weight workout with a lot of variety. It was hard getting use to the High Step at first but it has gotten more comfortable. The music isn't that important to me if the workout is good. I don't think you can compare this to BC, because the weight segments are much longer and more intense. IMO, what makes BC tiring is the faster pace and with less rest time. In HSTA the weight segments are longer with more time in between cardio segments. I don't know if this makes sense, but that's the way it feels to me. They both make me equally as tired and sweaty when I'm done!

I did this workout today for the 2nd time and i am feeling EVERYTHING:+ I used a 6inch step for cardio and 12 inchs for leg press's. I cant match Cathe yet but i am trying:p Nikki

I really enjoy this dvd; the music doesn't bother me one bit. I get a very good workout. I particularly love the chest flyes on the floor with one leg on the High Step.

I am so excited to see what the new High Step Challenge is all about. I'm pretty it will kick butt}( }( }( .

I love HSTA. I wish that it did have core work like Bootcamp though. I especially like the longer cardio sections and the original muscle training exercises...in particular one armed tricep dips. I'm still working up to being able to do the complete set on one arm (I'm getting closer...last try I only had to do the last four on two arms). I find I always get a good workout with HSTA while I have to really push myself to get the same sweat flying with Bootcamp.

tracy... you could modify it and use your regular step.. you just wouldn't be stepping up as high for the gizzilion step ups! as far as the step routine part.. absolutely you could use the regular step!

if you have a stable step stool of some type.. you could use that for the step ups in each rotation/circuit! you could use a chair for the one arm tricep dips!

what i did was to buy just the topper and extra set of risers since the risers of the club step fit the high step topper.. just something to keep in mind!

cute work out clothes are good for AT LEAST an additional 10-15 calories burned!

No kidding!! those one armed tricep dips are KILLER!!! }( }( I still cannot do them all! Also, how about those squats where you go down and do pulses for 16 counts!!! My butt burns like h*ll!! I love that feeling, but it has taken me countless times to get all them in............I do like the leg presses! It would be a perfect circuit workout if it had one segment on the end of killer abs!

>desertbriez - what is whopping and caterwalling????!!!!

type... whooping.. you know.. all the woo hoo's and whoops, etc.. the caterwalling in PUB (which is what annoys me the most) is during shoulders.. she starts with this obnoxious "owwwwwwwwwwwwwwww" ... i wish they would edit stuff like that out.. cuz after about the 5th time you do it.. you just want to throw something at the tv.. after th 10th time... you're screaming at her to shut up.. after the 15th time.. you DO throw something at her at the tv! lol!

I LOVE this workout!! It burns! To me, it is not as cardiovascular as boot camp - but, it kicks my butt. It is worth buying!

HSTA is my favorite of all so far (ME is a very close 2nd) and I agree, it is tougher than Bootcamp, which is still a good one! I like the leg work in HSTA so much better. In BC, sometimes the leg work consists of kicks and that doesn't deliver a burn. Sometimes I use BC on my cardio days.

The music doesn't bother me, I think it would if I weren't sweating like hell but since I am, Cathe can do no wrong on this one! She could whistle through the whole thing, for all I care...as long as she has me sweating quarts!!!
