Just wondering how many people have this one and like it. I absolutely love this dvd but haven't really heard much about it. I almost don't want to say this on this forum, but I actually like HSTA better than BootCamp.........but I wish that HSTA had some core work in it.

Don't get me wrong I like BootCamp, but I don't sweat near as much in that circuit workout as when I do HSTA. (and I love to sweat) Anybody else in the same boat?? Just curious.

I LOVE this workout, it is becoming one of my favorites very quickly. I've only done it twice, and can't wait to do it again!

I think this is the toughest workout that Cathe has, it wipes me out. It doesn't look that hard when previewing it but there is something about it that just gets me good. Now you have me wanting to get off the internet and go do that workout.

I haven't done it much because I find the music very dull, and I HATE the way it obviously goes from faster to slower. Too bad, because otherwise, I think I'd love it, and would be doing it a lot!

I love this workout!!!! And I too think it is harder than Boot Camp (just MHO) I feel more "worked out" and I sweat buckets!

I love this workout and I don't mind the music. I just have to be in the mood for leg presses.

If you want to firm up your behind, this workout is a must have!!!:)

I really like this one a lot. I do tend to break it up and do premixes more than doing it as is. I like to do the warm up and cardio premix before starting, say, another cardio workout or do the cardio and upper or lower as an add on. I think it is excellent as is,too, because it is really a challenge. The music really does not bother me. I do like the music in some of the other vids better, but Cathe cannot please everyone. You can add the core work from bootcamp on if you have the dvd, after you do HSTA. The cardio in itself is intense on Bootcamp. Doing the whole workout seems much easier to me , but I think it is more of a weight workout than cardiovascular. It does seem like the weight work in HSTA keeps my HR up more.

I did this dvd a couple of times when I first got it and then put it away............... WELL I picked it up the other day and I have to say I enjoyed it much more this time around. I love circuit style workouts and this really is a GOOD one. I am going to try and work this dvd into my rotation in the next few weeks!!

I really like this workout! I do agree that it's pretty tough too. The only downfall is the music. The speed changes is drive me nuts.

This is one of my absolute favorite Cathes! The lack of enthusiasm for it kept me from purchasing it for awhile. I'm so glad I took the plunge -- this workout rocks!

This also is one of my most favorite workouts. I, too, like it more than Bootcamp, and I think the music is great!

It is one of my all-time favorites -- and a kick-butt workout.

i really like HSTA! i definitly burn more calories doing it than i do during boot camp!

i don't have a problem with the music like a lot of people do... i don't mind the slowing it down/speeding it up... heck.. i'm more bothered by cedie's whopping in boot camp and caterwalling in PUB than i am the music in HSTA!

i like them both! i just have to be careful when i chose HSTA that it doesn't work my legs too much and interfer with my cycling!

The first time I did HSTA, I was surprised to make it all the way through, using Cathe's weights and all... I've avoided it for so long because the reviews always said something along the lines of mean and tough. But then again, most of Cathe's workouts are evil in a good way.}( I also liked the great variation it added to my workouts. I seldom crosstrain; I like to work my body in splits.

I've had BC for a long time. I watched it once, didn't like the way the workout was set up, thought the cardio would make my knees worse, so I never did it. Having said all this, I probably should give BC another chance. If HSTA is harder than BC, then why am I avoiding BC? I could modify the knee-busting cardio though.:)

Boot Camp is one of my favorite workouts of all time, and I have always been curious about HSTA but my question is this....does anybody do this workout without a high step? Can you use the end of your regular step to modify? I just cannot afford another piece of workout equipment (neither financially or space-wise) and I am wondering if anybody else out there does this one without the high step.

pinky... i was so scared of boot camp because of these and the other fitness forums... and ya know what.. it's NOT as bad as everyone makes it out to be.. i don't know why they do this to scare people so much! lol!

is it hard? yes... especially the first time you try it.... but it is not the killer that everyone says it is.. DO IT! you will love it!

(i just did it this morning and "breezed" through the ice breakers which were the one thing i absolutely used to hate!)

I like it a lot. The music actually grew on me a little bit. I like all the leg presses on the high step. For a killer lower body workout I've done BC Cardio & lower body only premix along with HSTA cardio & lower body premix...can't say I've done this often though.

I find that an 8 inch high step makes all the difference and really kicks it up a notch. When I initially did this workout on a 6 inch high step I didn't feel that it was all that intense. But doing the cardio on 8 inches makes it a tough as Bootcamp!

I'm one of the few who doesn't love this workout. I honestly think it's because I don't care for the music; it doesn't motivate me at all. If you don't mind the music, however, I believe it is a good, thorough circuit workout. (I guess we all have our most and least favorite Cathe workouts; this one just happens to fall into the latter category for me).
