Hey, this is something that is right up my alley

I'm out sick today with the cold from h*ll, and feeling useless, but this I know about:
I prep them like they do for salads; I don't try to eat it out of the rind with a spoon anymore. I've gotten really fast at this and can do it in about 2 minutes:
First, peel the grapefruit, but DON'T try to get off that thick white rind (you'll see why). Then pry it apart into 2 halves with your hands. Now get a sharp knife, and cut off the very ends of it......where the indentations were in the rind. This is going to help loosen the fruit, and you really don't lose the fruit, just the rind and membrane part. Now take the end of the knife and separate the thin membrane from the wedge of grapefruit, and then you can just work it free from the thick white part and plop it into a bowl. It's easier to do when the white rind is thicker. If a piece gets stuck then cut it apart, you really don't lose much of the fruit, and I figure you're getting more than trying to do the "spoon and grapefruit half" method anyway!
I've gotten pretty fast at this, and now I have a grapefruit at work almost every day. I love it! Hope this helps!
