Yes, I think the Director mentioned that this season they are going to go over more of Bill's history. Can't wait. I gotta ask for those of you who read all 9 books Bill or Eric. I know Chris was voting for Eric, but for some reason I think it may be Bill. Does anyone know when book 10 is coming out. Since I read all 9 books I've been walking around the house sulking like someone just stole my Cathe DVD collection. I feel so anxious waiting to know what will happen next.

OK... wanted to post this a few days ago but forgot...
I was reading book 4 (Dead To The World) and came across something Eric tells Sookie:
"...You could hardly say the lion wanted to caress the
antelope."
Does that ring a bell? As in "And so the lion fell in love with the lamb" that Edward says to Bella?...
Hmmm... I bet Stephenie Meyer had read Charlaine Harris before she had that "dream" about the lion/lamb phrase which inspired her to write Twilight...

Not necessarily. The "lion lying down with the lamb" is a biblical reference that's pretty well known, so they might have just both been inspired by that same image.

True, but this and lots of other things really do make me wonder if Meyer was "inspired" by Harris, especially the whole werewolf/vampire thing. IMO Meyer's saga kind of reads like a watered-down version of Harris's.
Did that link work for you Kathryn and did you watch any of the season 2 shows?

I haven't had a chance to check it out, but I will soon (and I'll let you know).
I'm not familiar with Harris vs. Meyer's work, so I can't judge whether one was influenced by the other or not, but there are a lot of similarities between TruBlood and Twilight (just based on the movie and TV show).

Hmmm...I have to pay to watch there.
ETA: I figured it out, and I can indeed watch episodes free (at least for now, some of these 'watch free'' sites allow only a certain number of minutes at a time or per day...which I unfortunately found out when watching something else mid-episode).

What!!! I never would have thought, . . but now that you say that, . .it makes sense. Maryanne would want Sookie out of the picture because she asked Tara to move in with her and obviously Maryanne wants Tara and Eggs to do some sort of orgy sex thing, . . maybe kinda Rosemary's baby sorta thing??? I sense a show down Maryanne versus the Vampire??
By the way, . . anyone read the Shakespear series by Charline??? Any thoughts? Worth the money?? I just read the Harper Connely Grave series and I really liked them.

Funny moment:
Pam's shoes and the dry leaves in her hair after searching the woods. "Those WERE nice pumps".... Kind of reminds me of a scene in one of the Pink Panther movies where Peter Sellers smashes a grand piano with a mallet and the butler shouts "That was a priceless piano!" And Seller responds "Not anymore!"
I like the way this season is laid out: one episode takes place in one day (12 episodes/ 12 days).
And what's the deal with the scratches on Daphne's back? Was she also attacked by the Minotaur? How did she survive? Did she get infected with something? If the vampires didn't help Sookie would she too get infected?
It's really good that the authors did not stick to the book on the Maenad attacking Sookie; makes more sense for Maryanne to want her out of the way so she won't be an obstacle to the Maaenad's plans of corrupting Tara.
What do you reckon will happen with Lafayette? I was sure he would be turned by Eric, Pam and Chow so he can take the place of Bubba...
Too bad next episode will air in 2 weeks... saw the trailer and was drooling!!! The airport scene, where a member of the Fellowship tries to kidnap Sookie is still there... so, I think, will be Anubis Air... Can't wait to see the vampire hotel!!!!

correct me if im wrong but wasnt daphne a were in the books? i cant remember what i read and what i watch in the show, lol.
i think lafayette will be turned. do you think they turned him already? i noticed some bites on his neck/chest area.
