Hey kids, guess what!

Hello everyone -

My husband is a Quality Control tech for the Discovery channel. Basically, this means he watches the TV shows on the Discovery networks before they air and checks them for technical accuracy - the color is OK, the sound is OK, etc.

Well, Discovery has acquired a new network - Fit TV. And guess whose workouts he was QC'ing today in preparation for this network? Yes - our own Cathe! He was just finishing up Boot Camp when he called and had about four more of her workouts to do before he was finished. He said there were about 60 workouts from all different instructors that were slated for QC'ing.

How about that!

Does this mean Cathe will be on that channel? Or is this to preview for the possibility of being on that channel? Very cool either way, I only wish our cable lineup had that.....or is it under Discovery? Hmmmm....I will hve to look further because they just redid the lineup.

Anything my husband watches is slated for broadcast eventually. He doesn't edit for content or evaluate for appropriateness or "watch worthiness", so to speak, he does strictly technical quality control.

All he knows is that the channel is called Fit TV. Perhaps Cathe can clarify..

I read about the new network on another forum. If I remember correctly it will air on the first of January. I will be watching out for channel on Directv. I love channels that show fitness programing.

I checked with my cable and it looks like we do have that, I just need to find out which channel and times. So truly, thanks for the heads up!

I went to Discovery.com and FitTV is supposed to start 12/29, the Monday after Christmas. They have a lineup to look at, but I couldn't really tell what some of the shows were. It didn't mention Cathe's name anywhere, but it did have a lot of Aerobic Conditioning shows coming on.
