Hi Andrea,
I was just musing about age and how we never seem to be satisfied where we are. :D
I saw this somewhere, I will try to remember how it went.
When we are toddlers, its the I'm gonna be years. When asked how old we are, we hold up 4 fingers when we are only 2.
Then come the 1/2 years. "Hey Dad I'm going to be driving soon, when can we get my car?"
"But you're only 14." "Not!" we say. "I'm 14 and 1/2"

Then it's "I can't wait until I'm 21."

Then it's the turning years. "I can't believe I've turned 30."

Then we start pushing. "Oh Boy, I'm pushing 40."
Suddenly we hit the years. "Wow I've hit the big Five 0"

Then it's the I made it. "Well I made it this far." :D:D

Hope you are enjoying the age you are. LOL

Happy Birthday, AndreaL! Make it the best ever!

Oh My Gosh!

What a surprise! I haven't posted much lately, so I'm sure most of you don't even know me. Thank you so much!

I had a piece of boxed carrot cake x( blech and I'm 28:eek:

But, I knew my birthday cake would be a disappointment so I made myself a Fuzzy Navel Cake. Definitely very fattening but worth every bit of fat! Let me know if you want the recipe and I'll post it.

Again, THANK YOU!

Andrea

FUZZY NAVEL CAKE

Fuzzy Navel Cake

I got this from www.allrecipes.com. It was submitted by Jodi.

1 (15 oz.) can sliced peaches, with juice
1 c sugar
½ c peach schnapps
¼ c orange juice
1 package yellow cake mix
1 (3 oz.) package instant vanilla pudding mix
4 eggs
2/3 c vegetable oil
1 ½ c confectioners’ sugar
¼ c melted butter or marg.

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour (or spray with Pam) a 10” bundt pan. In a blender, puree peaches with juice, schnapps, white sugar and orange juice until smooth.

2. In a medium bowl, mix together the cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, oil, and 1 ½ c of the peach mixture.

3. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Frost cake while still hot.

4. To make the frosting: Mix together confectioners’ sugar, butter, and ¼ c of the peach mixture. Pour over hot cake.

Note: For some reason I always have about 2 c of the peach mixture leftover.
