I don't think there was anything dangerous about Adri's intent. We're a good group of people and we're nice to just about everyone. I think it was a case of feeling liked and wanting to fit in. That's all.

It's natural for minds to start to run wild when inconsistancies show up and there have been several. People are just that way. There is no reason for you to feel like you have to make up information. Although, sometimes, I'd like to be someone else. LOL. There probably are some things you should not share here or anywhere on the internet especially being a teenager. Things like where you live, school, gym, even pictures of yourself. Although the people who post on these forums are probably all good people, there are others out there lurking with programs that search the internet to try to find innocent victims. Awhile back someone posted a thread about a detective who showed how easy it was to use the internet to find out where this one girl lived. If you want to continue to participate, do so, but be yourself but use caution with what you say. This is a pretty accepting forum. We are all from different backgrounds, with different levels of fitness, but we share one common thing and that is We Love Cathe and her workouts.

Actually, a long time ago, I was on a listserv (see how old I am!) and there was this woman who created a troublesome alter ego for herself. Then she would engage in these huge dramatic arguments with everyone, including and ESPECIALLY with her "real" ID. Eventually she was busted because she posted the wrong comments under the wrong ID. I always thought that was some kind of "menchausen by email" syndrome, or something.
Anyway, Adri, if you are actually a misguided young person, I hope you learned something from all of this.

You know what scares the crap out of me??? Who IS that girl in the avatar??? I am taking the pictures off the net of my kids so that someone can't use my pics and my family this way. I know it sounds naive, but I really didn't think that I would have to worry about anything like this on this forum.

I remember at the time, I looked up where the Catheite that posted the link lived and where the company (on whose website the picture is posted) was and the two cities were only 50 miles apart so I assumed that the picture/poster were legit.

I salute all the good-hearted people on this board. Frankly I think the whole thing is a ruse and has been from the beginning. Color me suspicious, but I don't believe it's a young girl who was scared we wouldn't like her. It has never added up for me. If I'm wrong I will be the first to offer a public apology.

Sarah, I think that Bill really thought that was her. He was trying to prove to all of us that it was her.
Adri, I don't know what to say. I guess the thing that pops to mind is if you are 14, like others have said. Just be careful about what you say and pictures that you post. You could get the wrong persons attention, and I know that no one wants that.
I see nothing wrong with continuing to post here if you'd like. Just be upfront and honest. Like others have said, we all are here with a common interest, we love Cathe's workouts.

Well, I don't know that I actually believe s/he is 14. BUT on the off chance that this is really just a misguided youngster looking to belong somewhere, I think about my own 14 year old and hope that if he did something this stupid, people wouldn't just crucify him, either.
I also think it's dangerous to have a lot of pics available on the net. My ex-DH is a graphic artist and he once showed me how easy it was to seamlessly stick my head on a picture of a verrrrry nekkid lady. Granted, she had a great body }( }( but that really opened my eyes...
