HELP - Need Motivation for Tonight

I'm so tired...I planned to do a cardio tonight. Oh, oh....I'm whinning terribly. x( The second I get an "out" I know I put off the workout until tomorrow. So, I'm looking for motivation -- I only have 30 minutes until I go home, so I need that motivation fast. I have my hand on the phone to call a friend for dinner, but then I decided to send post instead and see if I can get into Cathe mode.

Sonja, I struggle with this also and I just have to think about how I never regret working out, but I ALWAYS regret NOT working out. Just commit to not feeling disappointed in yourself this evening/tomorrow morning. HTH ;)

More often than not I find that when I feel the worst physically when I start (not sick, just tired or "off"), is when I have the best workout. Just start--if you hate it or it doesn't feel right, you can turn it off.

I usually work out in the morning but I overslept so I am trying to talk myself into doing it tonight. Soooo......let's do it together!

I'll work out if you work out! THERE! Now you're not alone!! I'll check up on you tomorrow....... ;-)

Thanks for the thoughts!! You know what...both worked. I'm going home and I'm ready for Cathe! You know, just knowing that I wont feel rotten for not working out is making me motivated...and yes, I'll just stop after 20 minutes if I'm not having any fun (which usually doesn't happen).

You are ON, Angie....I'm so competitive. This definately clinches the deal! I may have to do two workouts!!! (uh, no.)
 
Someone posted this tip on the Yaya board on my BFl check-in. But why not set up a reward if you workout or a "punishment" if you don't :) No coffee tomorrow if you don't workout. No tv tonight until you workout.

Sonja - if you do it, I will! I am headed to the gym in just a bit! ;)
 
You won't be alone for sure! I am feeling the same way. DH woke me up waaaayyy before my time this morning to get up and I am feeling drained, but I love a challenge, so if you workout, I will do some aerobics to Gilad. Sorry, but I never do the step cardio with Cathe...she is just everywhere and I am just left saying..."huh"?

Just think how awesome it will be to workout, get all sweaty, take a shower and put on your most comfy pj's.

Then think how it will be if you just go home and put on your pj's. Where's the sense of accomplishment there?

I pulled out a kazillion things I've collected over years today and got in a real sorting groove, but forced myself to stop and workout and, boy, was I glad I did! Guilt free and ready for tomorrow! Go, Sonja!

OK, Sonja - I'm checking up on you! It's 11pm and I just finished Low Max. You have no idea how many times I wanted to quit!!! But it's done - hope you had a great workout, too!!! I'm going to take a shower before my sweat short-circuits the keyboard!

Wow -- thanks for all these responses. I left work before most came in, but I DID my workout. Angie, I did LowMax too!! Although, I was not able to finish the last couple of cycles. I decided rather than push to hard and not have fun, I would do a StretchMax, which I did and really enjoyed. AND, I woke up this morning 2 pounds lighter. I was stuck at 151 for the past 2 weeks and boom today I'm down. Tonight is KickMax and a Core workout. Whoo hoo. I don't post too often, but I should, because this really worked! I love Cathe and you guys for all your support!:7
 
Colleen, the no t.v. until AFTER I workout is definately what I have to do. Once the tube is on, it stays on. I'm a t.v. junkie, sad but true.
 
That's great, Sonja! Did you get a "fire in the thighs", too? lol! And 2 pounds lighter?!? That's awesome! I wish I could be so lucky! I'm not even bothering weighing myself until TTOTM is over.

Low Max just kicks my bootie completely. I did 1/2 of Imax2 this morning - working up to the whole thing. And I love love love Stretch Max - it feels so great and it's soooo relaxing. I'm intimidated by the KM leg conditioning drills. YIKES.
