Help me find a workout!

Ame, you reminded me that I have the Firm Super Body Sculpt, so I just did it. It's not bad. The music is good and I like the moves. The only problem is that the upper body WO is way too fast. I had to slow everything down to avoid injuring myself. But the Ab and lower body stuff is pretty good, and it doesn't take long. :)

I do find KCM's form for some moves rather iffy.

I passed over her weighted workouts for this reason.

I wanted to change my opinion of KCM Kickboxing too. I bought it, previewed it, and as we all know actually doing it is different.
It is so complicated!!! Her cues are not good at all.:(
I prefer Cathe's kickbox style.

I may try to learn the routine if ever I'm up for a challenge.
Anyway, Nancy. I take back my KCM kickboxing recommendation. Unless you like complicated choreography.

I just ordered Ilaria's Powerstrike 5 and BodyStrikes

Thanks for your input, Vee. I viewed the KCM clip on Collage, and my lower back hurt just watching her fling those dumbbells around. I forgot to mention that I favor floor work for back moves. I can't do deadlifts or one-arm rows, but I make up for it with floor work equivalents. Sheesh, I sure am asking for a lot here!

:) Sorry that my reccomendation did not work for you Nancy. Second to Cathe (my absolute favorite), I like KCM for weight-training. I like her "full range of motion style".

My favorite way to work the back is with supine pullups and lat pull downs at the gym. For lower back strengthening I think nothing beats yoga/floor work.

A word on Netflix: I reviewed the strength training WOs offered by Netflix, and the selection is not great. The highest rated DVD was Tamilee Webb I Want That Body, which I ordered. It looks good, but one of the reviewers mentioned that there are NO back or chest exercises. Strange, but I'm still looking forward to trying it, as I can add back and chest myself.

I put Bodystrikes and Abs and Pushups in my shopping cart at amazon and checked it out...and amazon told me they cant ship these titles overseas. :(

Seems like Collage is the only place anyone overseas can buy Ilaria's latest from. I havent tried her before, but I am very keen to, from seeing the clips.

Will be keen to hear how you like them Cynthia.

I used to have "I want that Body" I liked the Abs sections very much but not the rest. I remember finding the lower body section not too effective and cant even remember why I did not like the Arms anymore. But the video was worth it just for the Abs. I still do the exercises from that workout from memory.

I LOVE KCM 30 minute kickboxing (which I usually do as the hour-long premix), but I agree. Her cuing sucks!

If she would cue the punches, like "jab, hook, cross, hook", at the beginning of each segment, and correctly use "cross" instead of "punch" as a cue (which she does both for crosses AND for multiple-punch combos), I could follow her better. I guess she assumes we will watch and remember the tutorial.

Nevertheless, the more I do it, the better it gets (though I still say nasty things to Kelly when she says "punch" for cross or doesn't cue what punches to do.

Amazon is weird.
I tried to order some card games from Amazon.fr (France), and they don't ship games out of the country. WTF? I can understand, maybe not electronic equipment (which they also don't ship), but games? Especially card games? I don't understand.

Ok, maybe I should try to learn it in short segments. I quit 10 minutes into it out of frustration. :(

Some companies are not licensed to do business w/ other countries so that may be why they can't do it.

Cynthia,

I wont/cant do complex choreography. I love 30 minutes kick box. I did the tutorial first. That really helps. The bonus Abs section is a lot of fun on this dvd.
