Have you had your fat percentage tested?

That is more important than your weight. You may be playing with an impossibility that might interfere with your health.

I hope I'm not the only one who thinks you're just fine where you are -- 128 is a good weight for your height (even a little low, depending on who you ask).

I did have a bodyfat done and it came out 16- 18 percent,so

Im guessing I have alot of muscle?and of course water weight. But,I notice why do some women when they train for fitness competitions are 5"4 115, and Monica Brant 5"5 135,some women weigh more and some women weigh less? Is it there body type and frame size?

Pen...you are not the only one who thinks it's just fine! I learned as a "general rule" of thumb 5lbs for every inch of height. I am 5'1 and weigh 113...and very happy with that for my age! (not that I'm that old...but I weighed more in my teens/early twenties) And to be honest...I dont want to lose, I don't want to be weak/skinny/lose muscle that I've worked so hard for! My advice is dont' get caught up in the weight game when your measurments are what they are and just stay focused on your "fitness" goals.......just my 2 cents.

5lbs for every inch of height? I'm 5ft8, which means I should wiegh 340lbs?? huh?

Nan

No, it's 5 lbs for every inch OVER five feet--not every inch total. And the base starting point is 100lbs for 5ft tall. So if you're 5'3, the recommended weight is 115 or so.

so if Im 5'4 shouldnt I weight 120? I was always around 115- 120,so I dont know what happened........

I am only 5 foot and I know I will never ever be 100 lbs. My LBM is 93 lbs. My ideal weight falls around 114-119. It is definitely hard to tell what your ideal weight should be unless you know your body fat %. You could get it tested at your local gym or get a scale that reads it. (probably not as accurate but it will give you a rough estimate)

It does sound like you are exercising too much. How many days do you take off each week? You could be overtraining which can affect weight loss.

I just read you know your body fat 16 -18% is really good!!

Thanks I take 2 days off from running and weight lift 3-4,maybe to much? but yeah bodyfat is 16-18%. and I do have few pics in my profile. TY!!

I agree with everyone else. Your weight seems just fine to me. You may not be able to reduce your body fat levels to those of a fitness competitor. You already exercise an incredible amount and trying to do more would not be good. Your diet looks healthy to me. This year Self magazine featured an article about being content with your body's happy weight rather than constantly striving to attain an "ideal" or statistical weight. I think you may be a case in point. You are very healthy, exercise perhaps a tad too much and should not cut down calories even further, not with this much exercise to support. Perhaps you already are at your optimum weight?

With all the running that you do, 3 leg weighted workouts per week seems like too much. Twice per week would be plenty. Take a little extra rest. Your legs will thank you for it.

TY!

Thanks I really workout hard and when I do cardio I make sure I really get my heart rate high, but I do have low days also. I have good definition, not as good as cathes but good enough.

That is

my goal weight. Currently 14 lbs from it. I am 48 and want to weight what I did when I got preggers - 14 years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Am I setting the bar too high?
