Help I'm new!

I need help selecting my first Cathe video. I have a very small workout space and do not have a barbell, what step, kickbox, or strength tape can I do? Thanks.

Welcome!! What are your goals? Strength, endurance, cardiovascular, or all of the above. This might help. Thanks.

You're only looking to buy 1 video? I would suggest Body Max. Cathe uses a barbell during the leg segment, but you can substitute with 10 or 12 lb dumbbells and the upperbody segment which uses a 25 lb barbell can be modified to 12 lb dumbbells. This one hits everything: upper and lower body plus a great step workout. It does use a bit of space during the figure 8's, but it is easy to modify. Circuit Max is great and Cathe uses only dumbbells for this one, but you do need a bit of room during the hi/lo and kickbox segments. Cardio and Weights sounds good and that only uses dumbbells. Any Cathe tape will be a good purchase! Have fun!

Hi Anna,
Bodymax does require some equipment. A step, and some weights. If you don't have a barbell you can still use dumbbells.

What kinds of videos do you already have and do? If you already have lots of cardio then maybe Max. Intensity Strength would be good. It's a whole-body strength workout (weights only, with a short step warmup that you can do without a step at first). It's 71 minutes long but can be split into 2 sections.

The kind of step you will need is called The Step. I think it is made by a company called The Step. Lots of Wal-Marts have them now and you can see one on www.walmart.com or whatever their website really is.

Cardio Kicks is a nice workout and requires no equipment. It has some large patterns you do (grapevine in a diamond shape on your floor) but I think it is the most space any Cathe video takes up. It is really easy to fit into my room-- about 10'x8'.

Hope This Helps

I have a FIRM fanny lifter and dumbbells but I'm not into Interval Training, I prefer to do my lifting and cardio separate.

Hi Anna! You sound like you are thinking of circuit training. Interval is cardio alone, but with intense interval bursts.

I used to not like circuit workouts-- burnt out on the Firm I guess. Now I do pop one in from time to time, Circuit Max, or Power Circuit. Makes me feel like I really jumped back in to exercise after a rest day.
