Heavy Weight?

Hi Cathe!

I don't think chat time as begun yet but Im not sure I will have time to post this when it does b/c I have a 15 month old who demands alot of my attention!
I have been lifting heavy weights (heavy for...maybe not for you;) ) for about 3 monthes, sneaking in a break or two and I have noticed quit the jump in the scale.(still adding cardio, I might add) Soooo...Im thinking about going back to ligther weights, maybe 2 full body workouts per week, or 1 full body and 1 circuit and cardio. Do you think this is a good way to lean out again, without losing to much muscle? I do love the way my arms are shaping up but for some reason I am feeling "bulky" and "thick" Yes, this could be in my mind but my shirt was awfully tight on my arms the other day.
I know you have said before that most women cannot build muscle easily...well, I think I am one of the ones who can! Weather thats good or bad...who knows?
Just your input on what I should do next would be great. I want to lean out again without losing to much of the muscle I have built, is it even possible to do that?
I guess I should add in that all my weight workouts are done with your dvds, and all my cardio (except for running which I do quit often)

Thanks for everything you do!!!!
Lori:)

Hi Lori,

I don't really have any advice to give, but I just wanted to "butt in" and say you have an awesome physique!! What I wouldn't give to have your muscle definition...

FYI: there is no regular 'chat' time (the thread you're probably referring to was from a week ago).

You're posting exactly where you should be for Cathe to see it.

Oh rats! I guess I should have paid closer attention to the thread! I guess the last person posted today, so therefore i thought it was for today! Maybe Cathe will see it anyway.
Thanks for your compliments btw...I am proud of what I have accomplished but now its just time to change things up a little. I like having muscle but not so sure my DH would like to have me looking like a man;)

just wanted to chime in and say you look GREAT! If you feel like you are getting bulky why not just continue to lift in the way you have been to keep the body you have in your pics. It seems to have been working for you thus far.

Lori,

I think you are a beautiful young woman, in fabulous shape. You look strong and very feminine. I see no bulk. It would be a shame if you felt anything except very happy with yourself.

I hope Cathe has time to respond to your post to give you the advice you seek (though really, I dont see any room for improvement).

The pics in my picture trail were taken about 5 lbs ago, although I know thats not much. Since then I have gained about 1 inch in each arm, I guess thats where the bulky feeling is comming from. I haven't lifted a heavy weight in a few days now and am already feeling better. I guess our muscles also hold water as well...that probably doesn't help!
