Hardest Ab Routine

Cathlete
Hi All!

Please give me your favorite hardest Ab workout. I love how the stability abs in B&G feel for overall. I'm looking for a good tough one that makes it a little hard to giggle the next day!:) :)

TIA
Jane

One of my all time favorites is the abs in ME. Those are tough! :) :) Love the work with the medicine ball! I find I really like ab work using weights, the stability ball or medicine ball. I like the added intensity. :) Try that one if you haven't done it recently!

I second the ME. YOu have to push against your knees while holding your legs in the air. I nearly die almost time, seriously. Give it a try!

This is so crazy, but Core Max routine #1. When I first got this dvd, I thought that the stab ball routine or the med ball/stab ball would be really tough, and they are but, routine #1 takes the cake in my opinion. I get great definition, and Cathe really hits the abs hard! Umm, levitation holds, anyone? Get ready to be ab-mazed!

I did this the other day and I found the planks at the end very tough. I couldn't complete it, although I managed it the last time round.

I also think ME abs is very effective, but in terms of difficulty the stability core work where you do roll on to your toes on the ball is toughest. I haven't managed to do that yet, I'm afraid my upper won't be able to support me and I will fall backwards breaking my wrists or something worst.

I second Core Max #1. I've done all three workouts on this dvd but I always seem to feel it more with #1 and continue to come back to it. I also love Ab Hits. Alot of traditional ab exercises but they are definitely effective.

My favorite ab routine is from KPC. Is it the most effective? I have no idea. But it's the most fun and I feel it the most. I also love ME abs. Both are solid ab workouts.

Of Cathes, I'd say the ab work in PUB - the ball work is killer!

Of others, P90X Ab Ripper (although it's hard on my hip flexors) and Fitball Upper Body always give me ab DOMS.

Hi Jane! If you want a truly hard awesome ab workout you should check out Tracey Staehle's Core Conditioning dvd. She's located on fitbytracey.com if you didn't already know this. Its 60" long, however, I usually break it up into different sessions or you can mix up all the different ab exercises to make your own routine. I have DOMS for at least 3 days afterwards. HTH, Kathy:D

Cathe's PUB ab work is the toughest for me. It gets me every time. The first five exercises in Ab Ripper X are tough for me, the rest aren't so bad. Tracey's Core Conditioning is also tough.

PUB abs is the only Cathe ab workout that I have difficulty finishing. As in I cannot do everything she does.

ME abs is a great all around workout

Core Max - any of them - is pretty darned good.

I actually like the abs from C&W as well for a good workout.

I don't think this is hardest one but my absolute favorite is Core section from Bootcamp. My waist line is very happy after I am done. :) :)

P90X Ab Ripper X is tough, but as the other gal said, its hard on those hip flexors. I like KPC abs as well!:)

Hi All!

Thanks for the ideas! I'd forgotten about ME! So, I did that workout tonight and hoping tomorrow, when I laugh at work, I feel it :) :) Isn't that silly? However, I know you all understand that wanting to feel it

Have a great night!
