Hardcore Rotation Checkin Wednesday April 6

Morning Ladies -

I'm on my first week of the April Strength rotation....yikes my muscles are feeling heavy right now. I did Gym Style Chest & Triceps timesaver and only 15 minutes of high intensity aerobics, as I don't run. I had to cut my workout short, as I have to be at work 1 hour and 15 minutes early. I did 15 minutes of cardio on the end of my workout yesterday, as I knew this would happen today....thus I planned ahead. I'm extremely exhausted today after a busy day at work yesterday and meetings with my manager at and Hourly Associate Representative (sort of like a union rep, but my position is non-union). This is the aftermath of the bad week I had at work last week. It's mentally exhausting. At least I've been sleeping this week, but I hope I just didn't jinx myself, as I'm PMSing and this is the week I usually have insomnia. I feel guilty about skimping on my cardio today, as I'm trying to do more than is in the rotation, but since I work at a large hospital and my office is in a separate building, I'll get some fast walking in later in the day when I have to go over to the hospital for lunch and errands.

I'm eating yogurt right now and breakfast and lunch will be the usual shredded wheats and salad with cheese for lunch.

Have great workouts everyone.

Hello there!
I did GS C&T and abs this morning. I increased my weights today and still feel shaky. My notes look like a toddler wrote them. I'm going to have my usual five egg whites, with half yolk. I ran out of bread, so I'll skip that today, but will have my oatmeal at 10:30.

Good morning,
Today was KM but I subbed Christi's Solid Gold Cardio and Coremax 2. I am sticking to the FLR in theory but changing workouts around to prevent boredom!

Have a great day!

Hi Ladies,

I did a 5 mile run last night. I was feeling tired and took it easy after that.

Today is a run and GS legs.

Have a great day!

Beverly

Hi Everyone,

The clock change is making it difficult to get up. Today is suppose to MM. I only had time for the leg portion and the core & stretch. Hopefully while my 4 year old is at preschool I'll get the push pull session in.

Have a great day!

Elaine:)

God Mornign Ladies,

This morning was S&H legs, shoulders, biceps and triceps.
I found a nice rotation that Cathe has created for S&H that does cardio everyday and one body part per day, I will start that one tomorrow.

This morning was the first time I did Body Max. Holy cow, that was a tough one. I didn't realize it was a 90 minute workout so I'll have to finish the upper body section tonight. For breakfast I had Kashi Go Lean cereal and I'll have some pineapple and a banana later.

Have a great day, everyone!!!

Angie:)

Thanks,

Hi Beverly ~

Could you direct me toward a good resource which outlines starting a running program? Now that the weather is getting better I'd like to incorporate running in my program. Thank you for any information you can share!

Hi everyone,
I have been pushing my workouts through a 3 day headache. Usually some caffeine and a workout will help me get rid of one. Last night I resorted to Imitrex. I think the time change is slowing my getting started down some as well. Here goes:
Mon.I Max3, GS BSB, Coremax #2 & #3
Tues. Step Blast& Step Jump & Pump cardio premix, GS legs, Stretch Max w/ band
Wed. KPC,KM combos 1-4, GS C&T
I have been doing long cardios trying to get those endorphans going to get rid of the head pain. It is a little better today.

Lora,I hope this week goes better for you. I am glad to hear you are sleeping

Angie, I love BodyMax. That was my second Cathe, if I remember right. I used that one every other day for a long time. I always felt like a had a really good thorough workout when I was done:D

Susan, congrats on raising your weights. It shows that you are making good progress.

Have a great day everyone.

Yeah I did it. I got the push pull session of MM in this afternoon. I usually say I will then find other things like housework to do. I'm very proud of myself.
:) :)

Good day!

GS Legs (standing) and Interval 1 of Coremax was on the agenda for me today. I'm dying... legs are tough when there's no break for other bodyparts as in a total body routine. My calves were screaming...I was crying! The ab workout was not as challenging (I need to get off the floor and onto a stability ball, I think) but I have to admit that when Cathe called out the planks I groaned right before she said, "No groaning." LOL

Lora: Glad to hear you're sleeping...sorry to hear you're PMSing. Double whammy during a challenging work week. Hang tough, girlfriend!

Beverly: I'm still blown away by your 5 mi. runs along with doing Cathe routines. How long have you been a runner?

Elaine: I totally agree with the time change screwing with our early wake up calls! And way to go, picking up the remainder of your routine later in the day. Cathe beats housework any day in my opinion!

Susan: High five for upping the weights! Way to get pumped! Go for it!

Diane Sue: I hope your 3-day headache scrams! I had the same thing! But there was no way I could have worked out. You said you took Imitrex - do you suffer from migraine? I wondered if I was experiencing my very first...I had all the textbook symptoms. I'm hoping it wasn't one because obviously it's nothing anyone should ever have to endure. Do you get them often?

Have a great evening everybody. Stay well.

~ Kim

I've gotten migraines for the past 20 years or so, but just recently started taking Zomig for them. Mine usually last 3-4 days and are excrutiating. I usually get them during my period and when the weather changes.......which is pretty often around this part of the country. I think people commonly mistaken them as sinus headaches for this reason.

Take care Diana Sue....I feel your pain!

Kim & Lora,
I have had headaches since I was 10 years old. I have been to several doctors. It seems sometimes they are tension & sometimes Migraines. Weather affects them as well as some foods, smoke etc.. I used to have them much more often than I do now. I could tell when I got up the other day and kept seeing little black floaty things. I am bad about putting off the Imitrix because it makes me drowsy. I force myself to workout unless it is so bad I feel like vomiting with it. Thanks for asking.
