Morning Everyone,
This morning I did Low Max.

Nicole - I'm going start using some of my other DVD's and Videos now also; however, I don't have many really advanced good cardio workouts.

What instructors does everyone use for advanced aerobics around here, besides Cathe aerobics?

Have great workouts everyone.

Hi everyone,

I was confused yesterday when I mentioned doing three (Cathe) workouts this week (I must have forgotten Monday since I was in the air all day). I'm only here two days this week.

Today I did Bootcamp. I'm leaving after work to visit my parents and sister, and her family. I'll be spending the weekend with them, so I will not be checking in until Monday. I plan to go for morning jogs and throw in some walking lunges (boy I need to do those!).

Lora, I don’t use any other instructors DVD's. I'm hoping Cathe comes out with another MIC. The aerobics in SJP are too short.

Diane Sue, rest up.... but it looks like your workouts are going well.

So, Nicole, Marietta and Dallas, are you all going to do that rotation from A-Jock? It looks really good. I'll plan on starting on Monday and do the NOSEBLEED week. I'll then see what Cathe puts out for July.

Hi Sabrina!

Talk to you guys next week.

Hello Everyone!!

This morning...I didn't do anything! I was up too late last night and decided to sleep in.

At lunch today, I am going to do legs. My rotation calls for Pure Strength Legs but I don't have that DVD. I found the exercises, but don't know how many reps are being done. I think I can work something out to make it an effective workout. Should I go relatively heavy on this workout? I also have class this evening so that should take care of me for today.

Susan, you have a great weekend...have fun with those walking lunges...I'll be doing some at next week I believe. I'm glad you liked the rotation...you have to let us know what you think since you'll be starting before us.

Lora, I don't have any other instructors either. Just Cathe...

Beverly, I ran yesterday during lunch and it was about 100 degrees. I'm trying to become more acclimated to the heat. We did about 4 miles. I felt good...but it was hot!! How hot is too hot for you??

Hi to all that follow!! Have a terrific day!

Hello Everyone,
Today I am going to do Ctx interval and PLB on the ball :7

Lora Gin Miller intense moves is a advanced cardio also energy sprint by Karen V. I also like Billy Blanks tae boe, but to be honest I really do not think you need to purchase any (I know you already have A LOT of dvds:D) Since you are doing a SS rotation just do one of your cardio's that you already have ( I like to do UR advanced or a Firm cardio or I will do a Cathe if my body is up to it ha ha) SS workouts are deceptively hard. They really WORK the body!! So just play it by ear and see how you feel!!:D Good luck :D

Hey hope you ALL have a GREAT Day !!

~Nicole

Hi Ladies,

I am still not sure what I want to do today. I did a 7.5 mile run yesterday.

Marietta, 100 degrees is pushing it for me. I prefer the low 90s as the hottest. 80s are perfect for me. There is not much humidity here in Utah so that helps.

I am curious to see what rotation Cathe will put out for August.

Have a great day ladies.

Beverly

I also got in workout #1 today.

I did a 20 minute Interval run on the treadmill as a warmup and an awesome leg workout. I had the exercises for Pure Strength written down, but I had no idea of how they are performed on the Video...so I just did it my way. It was good.

I have class this evening...I'll be doing a cardio and weight training class.

Have a great evening...

Hi All,

I did a double work out yesterday, but broke it up. I did the Imax 2 in the AM and then GSL (standing), CM#1 and SM #1 in the evening. That was great doing that in the evening. I slept like a baby! Wait babies don't sleep all that great, at least mine didn't, but you get what I mean, right? That SM work out was so relaxing. I would love to do a segment every night before bed.

Well, I slept so well I couldn't get up at 5:30A when the alarm went off this AM. Then we left the house at 9A to go to see Shark Tales with a big group of family/friends. Then school supplies shopping. Yeah, got everything on the list and cheap too! :)

So, I'll be starting my work out soon. I'll be doing GS-CT and an interval run on the treadmill. My DH will be home and would love to run outside, but I think we may just get rain. Wow, two days in a row!

Marietta, Nicole, and Susan ~ I would love to try that rotation. I don't have some of the DVDs though. Maybe you could help me substitute? How long do you think each of the work outs are? If I get my butt out of bed, I can get a good hour and half work out in before I hear the pitter, patter of little feet. Are you going to wait until you see what's posted for August?

Lora ~ I don't have any other DVDs either, except for my Bryan Kest yoga, which I love, love, love! Do you run at all? Running always worked for me, but I used to run everyday for 45-60 minutes before I found Cathe.

Diane Sue ~ you better get some rest...falling asleep at the computer?! Did you finish the picture you were working on for your daughter?

Susan ~ Have a great weekend with your family!

I'm so excited my DH told me he purchased a bag for kicking/punching? Anyone know of some good bag work outs? I wonder if I could use KPC or KM for that? Maybe I'll post a new thread to see what others think.

Have a great evening!

Dallas

Hi Bev-- I dont mean to hi-jack your thread, but just wanted to touch base and let you know about some of my progress. I have kicked the running up. I have added hills on some days and I am in the thick of some interval running. I have seen a HUGE change in the in my legs, esp the thigh area. They are lean and mean :) I do 5 miles on the average with some days---- when the humidity isnt 100%--7 miles. I am still working on completing 7 like I can 5 but at least I finish And no I am not crawling ;-) The increase in running (cardio) has made a big difference in my abs too. Take for example this afternoon at the pool. My 15yr old daughter says to me as I drop my wrap "Mom your abs are getting ripped" I laughed and said "No way" she says "Yup you are doing great --- show me how to get those." Ha! Funny huh? ;)She actually is joing me in the early a.m. for some runs. So thats neat too. My lifting for upper body is kicking in to. Patience pays off :D

Thanks so much for your advice and knowledge Bev. Its nice to see you back posting again. How was the road trip? I can see from the others it was a GREAT day. Im hoping next year to attend.

Evening ladies,

I joined the bootcamp group today! Just finished. My 3 year old joined me towards the end. I had him sitting on my lap helping me hold the medicine ball as I went side to side. He thought it was fun. It made it harder for me! LOL!

HI Susan--How are you feeling?

Marietta--I wish I could have slept in this morning. The boys wont let me! LOL!

Beverly--How are you getting your runs in with the heat? I would pass out!

Dallas--I bet you will enjoy the kickboxing bag. I wish I had one, there are days where I would just love to kick and punch something! ;-)

Hi everyone,
Todays workout was I Max 3, followed by CM tough core, abs using the Bowflex kneeling cable crunches, sicilian crunches as in the abs diet, and wood chops on the stability ball. All done as heavy as I could go. Then Back almost All with the Bow flex, Wide grip pull down, reverse grip pull down, seated lat rows the back extensions off a stability ball, Biceps Barbell curls 4 sets, dumbbell concentration curls, Bowflex reverse curls, dumbbell alternating hammer curls.

Susan I did get to bed earlier than usual last night. The rest did me good as far as my workout this morning. I think I need more rest and may be pushing myself really hard. I will see Dh in about three weeks so am really trying to push myself. I know I will rest then. I plan on our time together being more maintenence. I have done this before. A couple of times a week throwing in a short cardio like Bootcamp cardio only and doing some work with the stability ball and tubing and bands. I was more energized and jumped right back into my workous. Probably more than you needed to know.

Dallas I finished the picture and she loved it. I had to warn them about touching certain areas as it was an oil painting and some of it was not dry. Certain pigments take longer to dry. She had it framed and hung it in her dining room. I was relieved that I got it finished. Lots of detail.
