Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Monday March 21

Mornin' ladies - I'm in week 4 of the Fatloss Rotation. I did LowMax this morning. I only did a 45 minute premix cuz I have to go to the dentist after work, so I have to be at work an hour early. LowMax was killer on my legs, especially after increasing my leg weight during High Step Circuit yesterday. I'm still fairly new to Cathe and having a bit of difficulty getting the footwork down in LowMax; however, I did somewhat better today. Those sweep pivots always land me on the wrong side! I finally got the backwards mambo and backwards V steps though...so I'm making progress.

I'm eating yogurt and shredded wheats for breakfast. I had a handful of
Cheerios prior to working out. I'll have honey wheat pretzels, an apple and a pear for snacks. Lunch will be salad with cheese and yogurt and I'm not sure about dinner.

Hi everyone

Workouts went a bit wayward at the weekend...too busy on Sat, ill on Sunday :(

Going to ease off a little this week cos I fet really drained last week - no energy at all - plus I've got a 5k race in 6 weeks so need to up my running a bit too.

Forgot to add - doing a 2.5/3 mile run tonight + Core

I haven't been checking in since Thursday. We had computer problems, turns out we may have just purchased a bad router.

Yesterday I ran stairs. 16 laps for five floors. My calves are tight today.
This morning I did GS C&T, followed with CM#1.

Week 4 of Fat Loss...I have to do HSC. :( I'm still sore from yesterday but I'm going to buck up and do it.

Breakfast was oatmeal w/ apple butter, flax seed and wheat germ.

Good afternoon everyone. This morning I did HC Extreme Hi/Low intervals, GS legs and Stretch Max with the band. This is going into my 6th week with the Gym Style workouts. I have really been struggling with the clean eating because we have had birthday parties & events almost every weekend. We have a family gathering Sunday (daughter says she will bring candy & chips grr.) and in a couple of weeks family will be visiting from out of state. I did well this week. Hopefully I can keep it up. So far I have had my protein smoothie and a large salad with an apple, romaine, feta and lemon juice. I will hunt down some tuna in a little while. Did MM today, am planning to do LM tomorrow, and then Wed. I leave for a long weekend in California - woo! hoo! I will bring my running shoes along with me and hopefully get some miles under my belt.

Is anyone else getting sick of doing HC workouts only? When I get back next week, I am going to expand my rotation to include some older workouts as well - it's been nice really getting these new dvd's down pat, but I itching for some variety (I miss my Intensity series!)

Hi Everyone,

Finally I am getting to be more alive instead of having the 'death warmed over' feeling. LOL This virus thingy that has been going around takes forever to get over as well.

3/17 I did Imax 3
3/18 off
3/19 High Step Challenge (I dislike the tapping around the step because I am very tired at this point of the workout. }( )
3/20 Kick Max. I skipped one set of airborne jacks during the challenge section.
3/21 Muscle Max I plan on adding a section or two of CoreMax this evening.
I think I am on track with the Endurance Rotation now. So tomorrow will be Imax 3
I plan on doing the Endurance rotation another month and then go on to the Building Strenth; concentrating on legs but adding more cardio than is listed on the rotation.

Diane, thanks for posting some of the things you eat. It gives me ideas. My food choices have been boring! I had your Chicken Corncob salad today. Boy, do I understand how life's little celebrations can turn a healthy way of eating upside down ( I say that and think of pineapple upside down cake)LOL. Sweets are a downfall for me. I put the weight on in my lower abs and hips. Yet to have the wonderful abs, one must be very controlled on sweets.(I still say that Oxygen Special edition on abs is a keeper) It is so very very hard to be disciplined with what goes into the mouth especially during celebrations. Perhaps only teeny tiny samples along with gallons of water (or some other healthful drink)would make one feel part of the fun and yet still true to one's healthful eating. ????


Mariangles, if you see this, how do you like your Hardcore outfits by now? I was thinking it might be fun if we wore the pink outfits on the same day, sometime?

I think you all are doing a wonderful job in keeping up with your workouts, but also listening to your body when it says it needs a rest. Keep going. It is such a thrill when you see results from all the hard work. Best of all you know you earned it. :)
 
Good afternoon,
I started my day out with the warm up and low impact cardio of Kick Max, then did the high intensity drills of KPC. Because of low energy I had to stop and make a protein shake with 1/4 cup oatmeal. I was feeling sick last night and did not have my evening shake. Then I went on to do GS Back, shoulders, & biceps, then tough core and complete core premixes from Core Max. Had a half an orange after my workout and went to pick up my grandaughter & grocery shop. Finally here it is almost 3 oclock and I am just sitting down to a large salad with tuna.

Wanda, I am glad to hear that you are feeling a lot better and really getting back into your workouts. That's good that your book work is almost done:)

Everyone looks like they are doing great. I am thinking of going ahead and adding in some other cardio. I usually do cardio 5-6 days a week and am finding it hard to stick with only the Hardcores for this.
