Hardcore Rotation Checkin 3/30/05 - Wednesday

Morning Ladies -
I'm on week 5 of the FLR. I was scheduled to run today, but I don't run, so I did the warm up, 7 blasts & cooldown and the stretch on Imax 3 modifying most all of the high impact on my rebounder (due to having back pain from the high impact the other day). I guess my body just doesn't like much impact. I have a disc herniation in my cervical spine and I'm beginning to wonder what my lower spine looks like (don't want to know...ugh). I still kept my heartrate up in the high end of my training zone for 30 minutes. Then I did Core Max - Premix - balanced core and Stretch Max on the ball (love that one also - that and the band). My neck is still awful today. I go to my doctor next week, but he just tells me to get an epidural and facet blocks and I don't want anything that invasive yet! Good luck with your neck pain everyone else. WD, it's good that you corrected your problem.

Breakfast is the usual (I'm so boring)...yogurt and shredded wheats. Lunch will be salad again and fruit and granola bar for snacks. Not sure about dinner. I'll definitely have my chocolate fix later....DQ Sugar Free Fudge Bar. If you like chocolate and haven't tried them, they're good and only 50 calories.

Hi, I am kind of doing my own tweaking the FLR to get up to the April rotation, neck and shoulder still bothering me today, so I did Christi's Still Steppin and Cathe's ab hits 3 instead of KM. I will try to do that one tomorrow, I think.

I love the stretchmax on the ball also Lorajc, that is my favorite of that DVD. I hope you feel better soon.
 
Hi Everyone,

I did IMAX3 this morning and section 1 of stretchmax. The 7th step section of IMAX3 always has me tied in knots. I always end up in the wrong place tripping over my own feet. Good thing I do this at home in the basement where noone can see me.:p

Hi everyone I did GS Legs this am .Did not do the Core workout as everyone started getting up . (I workout in living room ).I hate being interupted LOL . Anyhow will get to it at nap time . I also want to say 1st time doing GS Legs and I felt it ,caved a few times and have lots to improve on ,Cant wait to see more results . Have great days :) :) :) :)
 
Hi everyone, I did GS BSB this morning, followed with Pilates. I haven't done Pilates in about two or so years. I was able to increase my weights in BSB and do more than Cathe with some moves!
Last night I added 20 minutes on my elliptical.
Looking forward to April's rotation.
Are we going to keep checking in together?

Good Morning Everybody ~

I did HSC this AM. I really felt an improvement in my endurance level compared to the first time I did this workout. I had to skip the stretch though...had to get ready for work. I hate that! The stretch is my "reward" for finishing so I pouted a little bit when I didn't have time to do it!

I did CoreMax 2 and Janis Saffell Brand New Butt & more. I didn't feel like exercising today, but once I got started I felt Ok. I feel good now and proud that I did it.

I was wondering the same thing about checkin's for April since I'm fairly new. I'm planning on doing the April rotation (if Cathe posts one). I would love to checkin with everyone though and I was wondering if I was supposed to start checking in on the Daily Checkin thread or if I should just Start a Thread that says "April Rotation Checkin" when Cathe posts it. (Since I'm usually the first one posting, I'd appreciate knowing what everyone would like on Friday).

Good afternoon everyone,
Today I did Kick Max w/u & cardio(no leg conditioning drills) High Step Challenge cardios done twice, GS chest&triceps

I do intend on sticking with the Gym Styles for another month. I wouldn't mind posting here, but I won't be following the April rotation exactly. I am wanting to get the upper GS in twice and more cardio than Cathe has incorporated. Also things may have to be altered once in awhile. I have a very busy month. Family is coming from Washington the 21st for several days. My dh is leaving for Iraq the 26th for a year and I have the Texas party which is on a weekend and I think will be fun:) But you can count me in if you don't mind.

Lora I think it is great that you are working to stay in shape despite the herniated disk. I am sure there are many that would just give up.

Okay everyone - I'm gonna go home and check the times on some of the rotation for April and see if I can fit in extra cardio (before work - as after work won't cut it since I get up at 2:30 am) with the rotation. If I can (and most likely I will), I'm gonna follow the April Rotation so I'll post here for April (except April 23rd for 5 days, as I'll be in Vegas). I'm excited to do a strength routine....maybe I'll lose weight on it, since it will be different for me. I do need to build some more muscle since I hadn't been able to lift heavy for 5 years prior to this due to my injury. I can't wait to get home and write all of the times down (I'm a bit of a planner), although I'm a little sad that I still won't be able to try my new Body Blast, Pure Strength and Slow & Heavy...but at least I have something to look forward to. :) :*

WD - I'd LOVE for you to check in on this thread, as I like to see what you do....it gives me ideas cuz you're in such awsome shape and you're creative with mixing it up. I don't know how you find time for workouts that are so long. I guess I'm just too high maintance to streamline my AM beauty routine....plus I have to apply heat and do 20 minutes of neck stretches a day...yuk. If I could force myself to get up earlier, I may start working my way up to increased workouts....so 2:00 am next I guess. Yikes. Also, sorry to hear your DH is going to Iraq...that sucks. Good luck with the family guests (that's always fun).

I did a 7 mile run and Stretch Max segment 2.

I hope we continue the hardcore rotation check in. I love checking in with everyone. I will not be doing the April Rotation, but using the Hardcores in my Muscle Endurance Rotation.

Lorajc you will truly be missed when you go on vacation. I totally agree with you about Diane Sue!! I also enjoy seeing what she is doing!! She really inspires me and motivates me!!

Today I did coremax section #2 and then I did GS Legs!! I am soooooooo..... happy I did coremax first because I know if I had not I would not have done it after GS legs}( Dang that one is HARD!! My hr was up pretty much during all the standing portion.

I am going to continue with Hardcore Strength rotation.

I think continuing a Hardcore rotation sounds like a good idea. Lora
You could do Cathe's April rotation but substitute the floor leg work from PS or the floor inner outer thigh work from Push & Pull instead of the Pyramid floorwork just to use your new workouts a little. If they are DVD's I take PP & use the workout blender to do the inner and outer thighs 3 times. I think that comes to around 12 minutes. PS legs floor work is about 17 min.. Also there is the floorwork on L&G which I think is around 11 min.. So see you can substitute a little with the rotation. Just a couple of ideas.
You get up so early now I couldn't see getting up any earlier. I used to get up at 4:30 to workout before I did daycare and I thought that was early. Now it is between 5 & 6. Most mornings right now I have the luxury of not having to be out of the house till 11 a.m..
