Hardcore Hottie Fitness Maniacs of the Universe Sept 12, 2008

Good Morning Hotties!!!!

Today is gonna be a leg workout off the rotation mixed in with some shoulder work which I did not get too since I was feeling alittle woozy after doing triceps. Then I will work abs.

Good Morning!

I got up earlier this morning than Im used to.. still feeling a tad underweather so not sure what Ill be doing today.. definity some cardio later when I can breathe better and open my eyes (this rainly gloomy weather makes it hard to actually 'wake up').. maybe do legs if I think they're ready after their pounding on monday.

Suz- you should get some BCAA powder for your shakes.. it help to retain your muscle when you do so much cardio.. and its also great obviously if you're weight training!

Suz & Hermia- the girls in my BF's office used to pick on him and call him anorexic lol (while the heffers ate cheeseburgers all day nonetheless).. I have no problems with people like that (anymore) and the whole issue with it not being ok to pick on fat people-- if they can dish it out to me then they'd better be able to take it lol ;)

Have good workouts everyone!

Just my two cents...

I have heard this all my life that I am too skinny or this and that...beanpole, anorexic, etc. I hate all that nonsense. I could give more of my two cents, but I don't want to get attacked. I am just not in the mood today. I took some advil cuz I woke up woozy again, and was still woozy last night. WTH?

Morning Maniacs! This morning I did Squeeze for the first time. I have to admit that I had to drop my 2 1/2 lb. weights at times... Ouchy, lol! The rest of the week I did all of the Dove workouts (love these!) and some mtn. bike riding with Carma (now that it's cooled off). Been busy researching different types of workouts and I'm really enjoying them. I'm into the light weight/high reps kind and I love what it's doing to my bod! My arms and legs are finally looking the way I like them.:) I also have some of the Jari Love workouts coming. Funny, I rarely buy new workouts and I've kind of gone on a buying spree lately.:p

Work calls...talk later

LMAO!! Love the title, Char! You are crazy girl!

Boring Steady State again. I couldn't bring myself doing an hour, even though I was watching "Regarding Henry". Excellent movie. But the time still dragged on so I quit at a half hour. I still met my cardio goals this week, though.

Cardio state:
31 minutes
27 minutes in zone
174 calories burned
1.65 miles travelled

I'll be mia, got lots to do today. Hope you all have a great day!

Love the title, Char!! Made me laugh! :D

Did Step Blast today. Wasn't in the mood to do anything due to lack of sleep the past 3 weeks.

Char- I wonder if you're all woozy from high sodium content from the stuff you drank for your colonscopy? Hope you get better as the day goes on.

Deb- Nice job! What are your plans for the weekend? Bike riding?

Suz- Nice seeing you on here again! What I can suggest you to do is drink Muscle Milk Collegiate. Athletes drink that and they have a lot of flavors. You can get it from Vitamin Shoppe, GNC and Bodybuilding.com. Don't worry about those women. I have PLENTY of comebacks but I'm afraid if I say it on here, some of the people outside of this thread might attack me. I'd just hold my head up high and walk away.

Linda- Boss is not going to this school now. He's going to another school in a couple of weeks. Long story short, he just plainly refuse to listen to other people. I'm the only one he listens to and obeys. He's gonna go to structured school to learn how to listen to OTHER people. Nick (my oldest) was no problem. He listened to everyone else that he knows but Tenny, forget it. He's one stubborn mule. Any suggestions?? That's one of the reasons why I haven't really slept in 3 weeks. At least he is potty trained now. SHEEEEEEEEEESH!

DS- I'm thinking of getting In the Ring and Rumble....How do you rate the intensity? Also, do you have Gin's Simply Interval? If so, how's that one? I'm glad Bill called. Hope he's doing well over there. What's the weather like over there now?

Anyway, everyone have a great weekend! I know I will as it's my cheat weekend. Probably will be real sick by monday stomachwise but who cares?? ;)

A quick post and the I am out the door to pick up the grandchildren from school.

I will come back for personals in awhile:)

Afternoon Hotties,

Well, for some stupid reason I decided tp have a yard sale this weekend and I have been up since 4:30 am, so I barely remember what I did this morning, it was so long ago.

Superset A
Squats
8/8/8 -110# **went to parallel**
One Arm Shoulder Press
8/8/8 - 25's **did the negative to count of 6, shoulders were burning**

Superset B
Reverse DB Lunge
6/6/6 - 40's ***my versagripps are MIA, had to use stupid hooks:mad::(:(**
BSS
12/12/12 - 25's ***I actually like going lighter here, I feel I have better control and can go deeper:D***

Superset C
One Leg SB Hamstring Curls
8/8/8
Spiderman climbs
12/12/12

Skipped the cardio due to shortage of time and knew I would be bustin' my butt setting up the yard sale.

Lisa - Poor you, sorry I don't have any advice for you on the Boss. I hope he new school works out for you so you can get a much needed break!

Pebblesus - Good point - if they can dish it out they better be able to take it! I should test that theory.

Char - I remember in high school a couple of guys used to joke around with me and call me stork b/c of my long, skinny legs. If we'd be in the library where we were supposed to be quiet, one of them would lift his leg up like a stork from across the room. Oh yes, quite funny. Not. I'm sure you could come up with some great combacks, but you are probably wise not to. :) I'm sorry you're feeling woozy. I wonder why? So you got to take the pills before your colonoscopy? I had to drink a gallon of that stuff. That was NOT easy to do, let me tell you!!! But the results were the same. :)

Dallys - So, I see you're lifting some heavy weights! Tee hee. Well, maybe you're standing in for Lora while she's out of commission and buying new workouts in her place.

Lisa - Oh yeah, a cycling friend of mine keeps telling me I should try Muscle Milk but I keep forgetting. She says it tastes really good. I bet it's better than the Myoplex Lite's I'm drinking. Have a fun cheat weekend. We're meeting our friends at Texas Roadhouse for dinner and I plan to pound a good number of those rolls! But I'll also have chicken and a sweet potato.

Diane Sue - Gosh, your workouts are so inspiring!

I haven't worked out yet. I'm leaving work early today and am trying to decide what to do...Cardio Coach on the ellip or Imax 2. It's raining outside so no ride. But my knee is hurting so a ride is out anyway.

Hey again! Ok, I think I've seen it all now (Char will love this!)! I had a customer come over and she had a bad knee and couldn't make it down the stairs (she sends her kid down to pay and stuff), anyway, so she's talking to me while I'm at the bottom. She was in a mumu type dress and I could see all the way up there, I kid you not!... she had on these really loose (like those low rider crotchy pants), really old saggy underwear...I could see all her gibbly bits and everything! I couldn't do anything but sit and talk and listen and try not to stare. OMG, I was in shock for about an hour after.

Suz- Yeah, those 2 1/2 pounders got awful heavy. Lora would be proud of my buying spree though. Oh! I've seen muscle milk at Costco!

Diane Sue- You did have a great workout. Makes me want to buy a bowflex now, since I'm on this buying spree lol!

Debbie
- When do you get to stop doing the slow boring cardio? Hope it's soon!

Flexit- Enjoy your cheat weekend...eat some extra for me.

Pebblesus- Sorry you're not feeling well. I've had a cold for over a week and it's been a %*^*$!

Hot toasty of the universe- Hope you feel better soon too. It's weird that you still feel this way after the colonthingy. Makes me want to go right out and get one.:p

Anywhos, I'm off for a easy steady state bike ride, wish you all could come.:D

Hey Linda-
How do you like the Versa Grips??? Ive been thinking about getting them when I have a little extra $$ flowing around here ;) but I wanted to get some personal reviews, they look great though.. until then the 'ol fashioned strap and chalk will have to do.. would you still need the chalk with these??

Toasty-
wow you're pretty hot! I accidently clicked on your profile page and saw your picturetrail.. I would *ahem* never have guessed that you looked like that from your avi :)

Charlotte, sorry you are still feeling woozy. I wonder what is up with that?

Suz, Muscle Milk tastes pretty good. I have bought the light and the regular. They are the same. They just give you a smaller gram size scoop in the light LOL It does have quite a bit of fat in it but it may be just what you need since I don't think it is unhealthy fat. I would think the eliptical would be better on your knee than I Max.

PebbleSus, hope you get to feeling better.

Lisa, In the Ring and Rumble both have Lower Intesity segments in them. In the Ring brings it up when you hit the med ball intervals. I really enjoy it a lot. As usual there are some nice premixes. Doing the med ball intervals twice is a nice way to get your hr up. Rumble stays pretty low impact and lower intensity. More lilke you are kicking and punching with a real person. The bag work (esp. the 2nd one) brings up the intensity. They do have someone doint the bagwork segment with weighted gloves on instead of hitting and kicking the bag. They are both different which is a nice change. I would not rate them as real high intensity workouts. I like both of them. I burned more calories than I thought I would doing Rumble. Enjoy your cheat weekend:) I don't have Gin Miller's workout.

Linda, good job on the weights:)

Dallys, I get in those workout buying sprees:) I like my Bowflex a lot. I have had it for 5 years now and have used it a lot. LOL on the customer at the top of the stairs. I bet it was hard to talk at first. I remember Lora talking about the Dove workouts. I have my eye on Chalene Extreme and the new Debbie Siebers workouts. Although I hope that one is not as boring as Slim Series. Although this seems to be different.

Dallys - Ick! Thanks for that visual!

Diane Sue - Hmmm...interesting about the fat content in the Muscle Milk. I'll have to think about that. Although I would like to gain weight, I am afraid that if I start gaining I won't be able to stop! So I'm not sure I want anything with a lot of fat in it. And you're right about the ellip. But guess what? I did NOTHING! I ended up going to American Eagle instead and buying some jeans and a cute zip up hoodie - both on sale. :) So I guess it's tomorrow for me.

As for Texas Roadhouse, I started out gangbusters with the bread - had two rolls and started getting full so I figured I better stop so I could eat my food. I had grilled bbq chicken breast and ate half and saved the rest to have tomorrow and had a sweet potato but it was huge so I didn't eat it all but for my second side I got another one and brought it home for tomorrow to go with my chicken. Yummy!

Suz, glad you did not do anything. I really am sure you do not have to worry about the fat calories. But I know where you are coming from. As far as Texas Roadhouse I would have ate every bite then rolled over in bed and "slept like a baby" LOL Maybe I don't go out enough! LOL As far as Muscle Milk is concerned I think it is 6 grams of fat for the light and 8 if it is the regular(bigger scoop). That is not too bad if you keep the rest of your calories low fat. I am not so afraid of fat as I used to be. I love sweet potatoes? They have Texas Road House here but I have never been there. What is the smallest size that American Eagle has if you do not mind my asking. I have some of their jeans that I bought in CA but I had to buy a belt. That was a long time ago. Left me not wanting to shop there. Their jeans are a heavier weight denim which seems like they would be more durable. As far as bread the one restaurant that I ususally do well at gives you a croissant with your salad. I usually ask if someone wants to share. (sort of hoping) Sometimes I keep pulling off bites till it is gone. I will say my homemade croissants are better but I have not made them in years. Just passed on the recipe. (I use real butter) no reason to throw in something else LOL

yep, toasty, your pics are really cute. I was looking at them once on the old forum and then later read a thread where you mentioned your kids, something about them that would have put them in their teens, and thought...they must be her husband's from a previous marriage; I don't think that woman is old enough to be the mother of teenagers. lol! but they're yours after all. I hope working out help keeps us young. I had my happy moment of the day earlier while teaching. I gave my class a break, and one of the girls came up and asked me my age. She was surprised when I said thirty; she said she'd been telling her friends her English prof looks like one of the students. lol! made me smile.

Suz....score on the American Eagle! I love that store. If you don't already, check them out online. You can get great deals on clearance.

Tonight's workout was the kickboxing from 4DS, then the abs from that workout, then a 20 minute Yoga Zone.
