Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Today I am gonna do my workout and then post it..be a surprise! lol. I am gonna go vote this morning and hope the rest of ya'll are gonna vote too.

Here is yesterday's workout:

(dropped 5# for these as my form is better for it)

Today I actually had a great time with my cardio and did excellent with it. I chose Cardio Coach #8, I haven't done this one in a while. It's a tough one but I did well. I love the music in this workout, the music for Challenge #2 is awesome and the cool down track reminds me of the Top Gun music. Very cool.

Cardio stats:
60 minutes
47 minutes in zone
392 calories burned
3.5 miles travelled


Happy with these stats, although I think I was in my zone for longer then 47 minutes. When I was finished with each challenge my HR would drop to my low zone and I don't really think it actually got as low as my HRM showed. I sometimes think my HRM somehow loses my beats when I'm not working hard. Weird.

It's warm today. I'm riding my bike to work! :p

Morning Maniacs! I'm up early and haven't worked out yet. I plan on 50 min. of cardio of some sort. Haven't decided yet.

Shana- I haven't heard of the rock and roll trainer either, but it sure looks cool. On myfitnesspal it will still show you your true macros that you have eaten along with the ones they recommend, which is probably following the food pyramid. I just go by what I want and ignore theirs. I don't have Precision Nutrition, but I do have the Metabolism Advantage and really like it. I lurk over on the PN forum from time to time. I think it's a great program. I just didn't want to fork over the money for the full PN package. Hey, did you end up getting those shorts you wanted? Can't remember their name...Harlot?

Toasty- A workout surpise! Boot camp 3 times?:p

Debbie- Have fun riding to work. We are supposed to get snow tonight!

Suz- I don't drink enough water either. Maybe we should all help each other with our water intake. I don't even know how much to drink. A liter, a gallon, 8 cups? What do you think?

Hermia- You are a tiny thing! I'm thinking you said you were my height, 5'5" ? I'm not sure, but I think it's more protein or at least more calories on weight days. Debbie would know this one.

Hahaha! That was the 4Day Split BC I did the other day. Can't decide what I am gonna do today cuz my left knee is still not feeling good since I did lunges off a stepper last week as my plan is to do walking lunges so I am gonna have to see if I am up to walking lunges or maybe something else.
 
This morning was Amy's ASC 3. The great thing about taking a week off it all the wonderful DOMS you get when you start back....my biceps hurt, my shoulders hurt, my back hurts (in a good way ;)), my chest hurts ......

Oh here is what has kept me so busy the last two weeks....

Linda-Wow! What an amazing job you did on the costumes! They are so adorable! I'm glad you enjoyed your week off.:)
 
I finished my workout and have Olivia down hoping for her to get at least a short nap before we(Olivia and I) go vote. I did I Max 3, then I did Lower Body as follows:
Bowflex Standing cable kickbacks 5sets x 8reps 75# resistance each leg
Bowflex leg extentions 5sets x 8 reps 260# resistance
Barbell Dead lift 1set x 8 reps 70# 4sets x 8reps 85#
Bowflex leg press super set with 4sets x 8 reps slow 310#
Bowflex calf raises varying toe postition 4sets x 25reps 310#
Amy Bento's 10 minute solution Bootcamp lower segment
Amy Bentos 10 minute solution figure 8 workout jiggle free buns and thighs segment (I used my heavy versa loop)
Stretch from I Max 3
Calories burned was I Max 3 531 total calorie burn today was 866 Workout was exactly 2 hours

We all thought you were doing the Original boot camp twice, cuz you are such a maniac, rofl! Be careful with your knee.

Yikes! I gotta get down to the basement before time runs out on me.................

Dallys - I brought my CC in to order those shorts, forgot, headed out without my wallet the next day b/c it was next to my computer...and this morning told myself again to order those dang shorts! I could have gone for a nice ride - Tour De Doughnut - here Sunday if I had gotten them! You get 5 minutes off your time for every doughnut you eat :) Some people finish with a negative time - personally, one would be enough for me. I don't know how they ride with all of that junk in their tummies. I WILL order them and let you know.
 
Oh - I forgot. Don't think I ever posted for yesterday. It was legs from 4DS. I wanted to to Circuit Zone legs following but did not have time. I went heavy on 4DS and took it slower so it felt good but took longer!
 
Got in a treadmill workout and then did Total body Solutions Neck and Lower back segments. I then did some extra stretches using the Valslides, that felt good!

OMG! That's my kind of ride! LOL! I do wonder if it would make you sick if you had a negative time though.:eek:
 
Hi maniacs. Back from Denver....we had a great time! DS got lucky.....met Lamar Odem and Kwambi Brown from the Lakers (they were in town playing the Nuggets) Got pics with them. We also got to go down on the field before Broncos game. Got to see a few players. Will post pics later.

Glad to be back. Tried to eat as clean as I could but nothing beats being home and back on my routine! Going to do cardio today...not sure what, it will be a suprise like Char:) But it won't be BC 2x or 3x (LOL Dally's!)

Char...hope the knee is ok.

I am back from voting. Didn't take long at all. Two elderly women in front of me that needed some help because one was in a wheel chair and one in a walker. So I had packed up a lot of stuff for the grandbaby and didn't need any of it. I get my Tony one on one tomorrow:D finally. They had to resend it to me because the first one never showed up.

Linda, those are great costumes. You put a lot of work into them. My grandson would have loved the Darth Vader one. He is very much into Star Wars and has a huge Star Wars collectible shelf full of stuff. I made him a Yoda costume once.

Dallys, do you think the Total Body solution will help?? I don't usually measure my water but I know I drink a ton of it. I fill bottles and I know the one I just finished was 16 oz. on top of what I drank earlier today. I carry water with me everywhere:)

Sonya, can't wait to see the pictures. It sounds like you all had a great time.
 
Good heavens you people are busy this morning! I had a meeting with HR and I get back here and it's 2 pages long already! I got up early enough to do weights and cardio for once. But I did have to cut out one set. Getting all of the weights right is taking up some of my workout time. I did chest and back and then did Cardio Coach #8 - I LOVE that one!

I cut out kneeling cable rows. I was also going to do butterflies on my machine. Sounded kinda fun. But since I dinked around with my weights so much and I really wanted to get my cardio in this morning instead of tonight, I had to make a choice. I'm bummed that some of my weight should have been heavier but I didn't know it until the last 4 reps. I could have heavied up on those last 4 now that I think about it. Ah, it was EARLY in the morning to be thinking! As mentioned, I did CC#8 when I was finished. It was a slow start but once I got going I was good.

Gotta go work on a few things and will do personals in a bit. Oh - Debbie said more protein on weightlifting days - 190g.
 
Just wanna post my workout quickly. I am feeling like I need to hurry and eat soon...feeling very depleted.

I did manage to do all the 500 walking lunges with 40# db's. I did them in sets of 25. Took me less then 1 hour to do. Then I immediately went on elliptical. Started with the fat burning mode, but didn't like it and switched to manual. Fat burning mode kept telling me to slow down...who wants to hear that????? Not me! lol. So I took my stats from the fat burning one and added it to the manual. Here is what I did

60 mins
5.8 mi
Burned 505 cals
Stayed about 75% mhr
Avg Speed 6mph

I know I burned something today. lol.

Got your message..your welcome! Thanks about the knees. Walking lunges seem to be fine on them...just keep walking..no worry. hehe
 
Nice workouts everyone!

Suz - try to eat at least 190 g. of protein. Actually, it should be 1.5 g. per body weight. So that might be a bit high for you. Figure it up and go from there.

Char - 500 walking lunges? OMG! My knees are hurting just thinking of that. Especially with 40's in my hands! Oy girl!

Debbie...do you take BCAA's on cardio days or just weights?

Not sure who mentioned MyFitnessPal a few days ago but I checked it out...it is great!

I did DM Ultra Cardio Blast...63 minutes, burned 572 calories.

Gotta go vote then go grocery shoppping. Cupboards are bare. Going to try a new recipe, Three Bean Turkey Stew from Oxygen's Nutrition mag.

Debbie - I LOVE LOVE LOVE the music in challenge 2 on CC#8. Something about it is so motivating to me.

Dallys - I read from someone on bodybuilding.com that you should drink 1/2 gallon of water a day. I think we have a ways to go! Nice workout today.

Linda - Cute costumes! I wish I had DOMS. :( I'm surprised I'm not getting them since I've switched things up and am lifting heavier. So then I think I'm not doing something right.

Diane Sue - Great workout. Have you thought of adding more rods to your Bowflex? DH said they are on eBay all the time and really easy to install. I hope you get your One on One tomorrow. I can't believe the first one got lost. I hope you like it after all this! :)

Shana - Sometimes it just feels better to heavy up on a workout, doesn't it? Good job.

Sonya - Welcome back!!! I'm glad you had fun in the mile high city! I'm glad your son got to meet some sports stars! Awesome. Good job on your clean eating too.

Miss Toasty - I can't believe you did FIVE HUNDRED walking lunges and THEN got on the elliptical for an hour. You are a mad woman!!! Your legs must be fried! Way to work it!
 
Thanks everyone for the compliments on the costumes. People think I am crazy for doing all that work, but it's a creative outlet for me.

DianeSue - I have been tempted for the past few years to make DD Yoda, because she is small next to DS and it would just be too funny. He was Anakin and now Vader.
 
Linda - I liked the costumes too. And I can relate to the creative thing being relaxing. I crochet and cross stitch and love it when I can just sit down and work.

Sonya - I take BCAA's after my cardio workout. When I lift I take them before and after.
