Hardcore Fitness Maniacs September 2025!

Hi,

No walk again today. I ran an errands today. I did signed up for a Pilates classes for older women. I like how she teaches the classes. She shows lots of modifications for osteoporosis.
There a few moves I am staying away from for now, other than that it’s pretty good. I have a month to decide if I want to keep the membership.

Diane - great job with Lite Upper body. She has some upper body stretches on her YT channel. Maybe it will help loosen things up.The older i get the more stretching I need.

Debbie - that is weird. Better safe than sorry. Great job on your walk.

Roselyn - Michelle B is great. I can’t do her high impact workouts anymore. Good for you.

Good night.

This morning I tried Kelly's 30 Minute to Fitness Total Body Kickboxing Workout #2. It was a good workout and really worked my arms and shoulders good. I used 3# dumbbells throughout the whole workout. I've had this DVD for years and I don't think I've ever done the workouts. I want to try just the Kickboxing one soon. I did one of Kelly's quick warm up routines on her YT channel because this workout starts without a warmup.

Workout was 35 minutes, burned 277 calories, did 3191 steps and HR was 133/156.

Roselyn - Thank you for the information, I will check into it.

Belinda - I'm glad you signed up for the Pilates classes, I hope you enjoy them. I could never get into Pilates, but it is so good for you.

Hope you all have a great day!!

Hi,

Went for a long walk outside.

Well, I am already fed up with the Pilates website. I learned I don’t have access to the more advanced stuff unless I am a member for over a year or longer. I tried to contact the instructor, getting the run around. I probably will cancel if I have partial access. I signed up for a year.

Debbie - my doctor mentioned to do more body weight workouts. I figured Pilates is body weight workouts and like you said, it’s good for me. Great job on your TB KB workout today.

I will be back later.

No real workouts the last two days. I just did stretches and PT moves. I am really having a lot of pain right now. I am using heat and icing and put on a lidocaine patch this afternoon. Only thing is the lidocaine will give me a rash and itching after a couple of uses. I will wait and see how I am Monday. I have family coming tomorrow. Today I did the chair stretch Belinda posted. Hopefully the arthritis appointment will help me out this week. I think that maybe all of the playing fetch with my dog multiple times a day is aggravating what is going on. I looked up some things and AI pulled up stuff that said you should not do it with osteoporosis. Walking the dog is okay though as long as the dog is not a puller.

Belinda, I am sorry they would not let you see all of the workouts. That is an odd way to do business. I always try to check the about the instructor and see how knowledgeable and if certified. Pilates work sounds like a good idea. I used to not like pilates, but I have found I like it now. I guess it depends on the instructor. I hated PiYo workouts. It is nice that they show things to do with osteoarthritis.

Debbie, good job on 30 Minutes to Fitness Kickboxing workout #2. I was thinking of you when I was looking at 30 Min to fitness Box Fit since the first workout is shadowboxing.

Roselyn, nice work on quad day.

I hurt my mid back a few days ago so I have just been walking. I feel better today so I did CL All In Upper Body and had a great workout. I was really careful with my exercises, so my back seems to be ok for now. I have a Chiropractic appointment on Wednesday; my doctor will get to the bottom of it. Yesterday was a rest day, I went and had lunch with my parents.

Great job on the workouts to past few days everyone. I am so bored with my workouts again, I go through this every couple of months. I need to figure out what I want to do and stick with my plan.

Have a wonderful Sunday.

Hi,

We walked outside today plus I did a little stretching.

Diane - I am so sorry you in so much pain again. Please take it easy. I hope you like the stretch. Enjoy your family time. My son and DIL are visiting. She instructor didn’t mention any of the special programs she offered. This is what she said: “I offer as a thank you to members who have been with me for over a year. The only difference is that they receive 2 small group classes per year which they can book into“. I don’t know how to responds to this. I did my homework on her. I do like she shows modifications for osteoarthritis and people 50+. There are thinks I can’t do with all the limitations I have. I will give her a try next 2 weeks, if I don’t like it I will cancel.

Jolie - sorry you hurt your back. Great job on your walk and weight workout.

Have a great Sunday.

Today after I went to pick up my dogs flea and tick med and stuff I decided it would be a good time to take him for a walk since it was mid morning and kids were in school. Little did I know they were out of school. Big mistake as he freaked out when a boy on a motorized skate board went by. He headed for the first door step and got away from me. Then when I went to get him he peed on their doorstep. Then on the way back to my house more kids in a golf cart went by squealing. He tried for two more houses before I got him home. I am sure the people probably saw the spectacle on their door step on their door camera. I went back with clorox wipes to clean their step. He needs more work. I wish he would get over the fears he has. I was worried I was going to be hurting after dealing with the dog. I was feeling a bit better today. I am thinking getting a German shepherd was a mistake for two older people. I keep trying. After I rested from the drama, I did 13 minutes of a 70's cardio with CDorner for a warmup, 79 calories. and went on to do Ask DR Jo costochondritis and osteoporosis exercises 19 minutes and then followed her 20-minute neck pain release routine with real time stretches she used a timer for. The neck pain had some deltoid stretching to loosen up after the exercises so they do not cause more neck pain. They really are tight and sore.

Jolie, I hope your chiropractor appointment helps Wednesday. Nice work on CL All In Upper Body.

Belinda, if you like the workouts and they are helpful, it might be good to stick with them. It seems if she has workouts for long term users, she should voice that on her site for those starting out. It is handy having an instructor that offers options for the osteoarthritis. Glad you got in a walk and stretching yesterday.
Nice work on today's morning walk and the Pilates Hip and Core work. Do you think the beginner stuff is too easy?

Debbie, nice work on Raw Box and Pump #4 today.

Roselyn, nice work on leg day and yesterday's workout.

This morning I did Kelly's 30 Minutes to Fitness Total Body Kickboxing Workout #1. It was just ok. I definitely love her RAW boxing workouts a LOT better. This one was fun but I don't know, I just didn't care for it that much.

Workout was 31 minutes, burned 244 calories, did 3368 steps and HR was 133/162.

I also did a bit of RAW Stretch 2. I really like that one and need to make time to do the whole thing one of these days.

Belinda - Good job with your walk and Pilates workouts. How have you been feeling lately?

Roselyn - Sounds like an interesting workout! LOL!

Diane - Wow on the dog drama!! That isn't good, I wonder why he's so skittish? Was he in an abusive home before he came to you? Did any of the people see you at their house? At least you cleaned it up. Most people would have just ignored it and left it there. I hope he gets better with that soon. Nice job getting a workout in and some stretching. Hope you are ok today.

Jolie - Hope your back is feeling better!

Have a great day and workouts everyone!

Yesterday was a 3.7 mile walk with the pup. Today my back is still the same, but I can still workout even though it hurts. I have a disc out for sure. Today I did CL Vertical Loading 2 and had a great workout. There was NO way I could do the leg portion with my low back issue, instead I used my Max Trainer and that worked out perfectly. Boy is that machine tough stuff.

Debbie, great job on the workouts to past two days! I wish I could do something like that right now but not with this back issue.

Daine Sue, my dog is the exact same way but he only weighs 18 pounds so I can pick him up when he goes nuts about another dog, scooter or golf cart. I hope you are feeling better today. I have been in a lot of pain for the past two weeks myself; it really wears you out doesn't it!

Belinda, great job with the walking and what you can do for your workouts. Boy, I feel like we are just a mess lately! :(

Roselyn, nice job on the workout the past two days. Go back and read your post and see what you typed for your workout :)

Walking tomorrow because I have Chiro appointment in the morning and then I will take Thursday as a rest day.

Have a great day.

Hi,

I did a stretch workout today.

Jolie - I agree, we are a mess lately. Nice job on your walk.

Debbie - great job on your TB Kick boxing workout. I am doing fine. Thanks for asking. How are you doing?

Diane - great job on your walk. I probably will not keep the Pilates, they are beginner and to easy. Not to mention, she goes very slow. I already have a few subscriptions, I can’t hardly keep up.

Good night.

Today I did CDorner 80's cardio, 45 minutes, 269 calories, heart rate 124/152 heart rate, 4,546 calories. I then did 16 minutes of Chris' stretch, 16 minutes, 40 calories. Total time 61 minutes, 309 calories. I also did the PT work. I have my arthritis appointment in the morning so need to go to bed so I can get up early.

Debbie, nice work on Kelly's Kickboxing 2 and the stretch 2. I got my dog from the shelter at 10 months old. I am sure she was abused because he ducked and peed whenever I would get near him. He as made huge strides and is not afraid of me at all now. He fears lots of things. We have a shade on our patio and I had pulled it down to shade the patio and he would not go outside because it scared him. I cannot use a duster as it scared him. I think he thought he was going to get whacked. I got him a chuck it to make it easier for me to throw the ball after the back procedure. He was afraid of the thrower stick. He has finally warmed up to it this month. Strange for a large dog.

Jolie, nice job on the walk with the pup and CL vertical loading. I can usually do a work around things and still workout. The chest and rib pain got just way more than I can handle. Particularly since it is way worse when I try to sleep at night. Even picking up weights and trying arms hurts. Cleaning the floors sets it off and my upper back and neck started hurting too. Hoping giving it more time to improve will help.
My dog wanted me to go outside with him today and he kept getting scared and running back into the house because the neighbors grandchildren were playing in their back yard. He handles my family when we have everyone over and my ladies group days he lets them pet him. I wish I could just pick him up. He is probably around 60 lbs now. He was 49lb when we got him.

Roselyn, nice work on back, biceps? and abs. I guess you talk typed again lol

Belinda, nice that you got in a stretch today. I wouldn't like the workout myself if it was really slow and easy. I have had some stretches where they held stretches with a long timer and I changed to something else.

This morning I did RAW Burnout: Upper Body. I had a great workout, I think this one is one of Kelly's best upper body workouts. It is tough!!

45 seconds on/15 seconds off

Superset #1
Biceps
Supination Curls
: 20's - 1 set; 15's - 2 sets
Half Curls: 15's
3 sets alternating each exercise

Superset #2

One Arm Rows:
30#
3 sets

Superset #3
Shoulders
Seated Overhead Press
: 15's
Seated Lateral Raise: 12's

Superset #4

Bench Press: 25's (I did regular bench press)
Pullovers: (I did Flies) - 20's
3 sets

Superset #5
Triceps
Skull Crushers
: 12's
Dips: (I did Close Grip Presses - 20's)
3 sets

Total workout was 41 minutes, burned 278 calories, and HR was 118/148.

Jolie - Nice job getting your workouts in even though your back is messed up. Hopefully after today's appointment, you will feel better.

Roselyn - LOL on the TRASH workout!! Good job with your workout yesterday.

Belinda - I am doing great, so far no knots or tightness. Hope it stays that way!!

Diane - Awww, your poor dog. That is so sad. That's not strange if he was abused. Why do people own animals if they can't love them? That makes me so mad. I'm glad you and your DH gave him a loving home. :)

Have a great day everyone!

Hi,

I met my son, DIL and DD for lunch today. DS and DIL left for TX today. Afterwards we went shopping at Tysons Corner. Got in a lot of steps. When I came home, I needed a good workout. I did CL here latest UB.

Tomorrow I have an early ophthalmologist appointment.

Debbie - glad you doing okey. Hopefully those knots and tightness stay way. Great job on RAW Burnout: UB. I sent you a pm.

Diane - great job on CDorner 80's cardio plus stretch I hope your arthritis appointment went well today. I sent you a pm.

Good night.

No workout today. Hopefully I can do something tomorrow. I went to the arthritis doctor today and started a new me. I will be getting an x-ray to make sure there is not anymore fractures on Friday morning. I did not want to sit there and wait another 1 1/2 hours to get the x-ray since they were really busy. My poor dog was at home in the crate 2 and a half hours already and I still had another long drive back home.

Debbie, nice work on Raw Burn Out Upper Body. I always liked Kelly's Raw boxing workouts better than the dvds. I wonder why that is? I need to sign up again. I would like to sign up for CL as well, but I want to be able to do the workouts after I spend the money on them. My dog has gotten a lot better in the 6 months we have had him. He knows all of my daily routines and sets up for them. If he sees me get out my purse, he goes and gets in his crate because he thinks I am going somewhere. I need him to walk well on the leash and not be afraid. I also wish he would just go outside to do his business without insisting I go too. He is clingy.

Belinda, it sounds like you had a pleasant day today with family. Glad you got a CL Upper Body workout in as well. I hope your ophthalmologist appointment goes well today.

This morning I did RAW Heavy Bag/Shadow Boxing with Kelly and her son Zach. Again, I cannot tell you all how much I love this workout. It is so fun. This one has abs included.

Workout was 40 minutes, burned 348 calories, did 2330 steps and HR was 143/176.

I wish Kelly would make a few more just boxing workouts. I like the kickboxing ones but sometimes I just don't want to mess around with kicks and all that. I requested it from her but haven't heard back. She is putting weird workouts up on her YT channel.

Belinda - Sounds like you had a great day yesterday and great job getting a workout in even after you walked all those steps!!

Diane - I hate waiting for doctors. That was a good call to make an appointment for an X-ray. Awww, you poor dog. He'll get better and better each day, I'm sure. I know sometimes it's frustrating, but he is doing really well!!

Have a great day everyone!!

Hi,

I just got home from the eye doctor, my right eye sight is worst now then it was before. The lens is in the right place. He is going to do laser surgery next month. I am still healing. I have scars which they will remove to see if that will help my eye sight. The surgery will only take 5 to 10 min. Good news…I can wear make up again.

I been up since 3 am, will take a short break than try to get a workout in. BBL
