Morning :D

No workout all weekend I was sick. It all started Friday, with that attack I had by Saturday, it was full forces. I took Flu medication and Nyquil and Halls for my throat and today I feel really weak. I would not have ccome to work today but other co worker is out, I needed to be here. Tonight more rest:)
 
Day 1 of my rest. Well, day 2 but yesterday is my planned rest day so that doesn't count. Slept in until 7:30 and it felt AWESOME!

Teddygirl - oooo, hope you feel better. You HAVE to get better for Thanksgiving turkey :) Seriously, hope your workday goes by easily and that you can get home and to bed. HeAlInG ViBeS your way...

Debbie - rest days...AHHHHH! You deserve them, girl. I took an unplanned day yesterday but never stopped moving so that has to count! DD and I cleaned her playroom - I would have rather worked out :eek:

Friday was S&H legs, and I went as heavy as I could. A smith machine would be nice! Oh well - still good and I was really feeling it yesterday. I do have a squat rack so I can go heavy but I'm not comfortable enough to go too overboard, especially working out by myself. I also did PUB abs. Upper body was still feeling that one too. I love that workout. So, I was putting my weights away, thinking I would be effecient - had weighted vest on (10lbs), a 30 in one hand and two 10s I think in the other (for the warm up, FYI;)) and went to stand up, being careful to not hurt myself when WHAM - right into my knee went the end of one of those 10s. Owwwwwwww - I hobbled around for a while and it left a nice bruise but nothing that has hurt beyond that night. DD and I had a nice walk that night too.

We are off to Tyler, Tx later today. There are great hills there so I will get in some amazing walking workouts - I do walking lunges up the big hills and people look at me like I am nutz. Also will take them going backwards -that feels good too.

morning Ladies! Teddygirl, sorry you are under the weather. There is bad stuff going around here. I didP90X yoga X on Sunday and arms and shoulders on Saturday. Today shbould be cardio, but I am on the road to SC. I have my bands and work out sheets, so i will try to keep up with the workouts. instead plyometrics and cardio - I will run the hills in my Mom's neighborhood. They are pretty brutal.

I will be around all my nephews and they are always sick. I hope I don't pick anything up from them. I will wash hands often.

I just tried eating egg whites and oatmeal:eek: you talking about NASTY, omg I threw it away. Depending on how I am feeling after work, I REALLY want to go too Richmond Mall I seen a must have pair of earrings. I thought I was going to go Saturday and I thought I felted better after getting much sleep Friday, Nope! I picked up virus, but it felted like I had the Flu, it hit me hard.

I did walking lunges on my roof once..don't feel bad. lol. I had to be up on the roof so I made use of myself even still. hehe. Have a great time! Sorry to hear you hurt yourself.

I have one more week left of this rotation, but was feeling completely bored with the same pattern of workout and decided to change things up this morning. I went with LIC. Haven't done that in a llloooooonnnnngggg time. I am definitely not use to endurance work.

Workout is done. I am hoping for a nap before I take off to get the girls from school. Not much sleep last night.I started with the treadmill and went 3.25 miles and burned 361 calories, then I did the Iron Core 3 dvd using mostly 20 and 25lb kettlebells and burned 194 calories in the 22 minute workout, I followed this with Tony's One on One Road Warrior with the tubing and burned 355 calories. Had to take the girls to school so when I came home I did Ryan Shanahan's Firm and Fat Burn Kettlebell workout which was around was about 20 minutes with w/up and stretch. This was pretty easy and there weren't many swings in it. I burned 150 calories doing it. Total calories burned was 1060 today and fat burned was 40%. Just had some 1/4 cup toasted oatmeal with a Tablespoon of brown sugar on top of 1/2 cup Oikos fat free greek yogurt mixed with 1/2 scoop Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard vanilla whey. I find I can tolerate oatmeal this way because it is not slimey like past. I am trying to get my diet back in order.

Shanna, I am really liking the kettlebells. I really would like to get the AOS dvd's. Wish they weren't 50 dollars each:eek:

Teddy, I hope you get to feeling better. It is awful feeling so sick. Kind of wrings the life out of a person. I am getting my energy back. Still get tired so trying to make sure I get rest too. Take care of yourself.

Morning!

This morning was legs. I was really tired so I got up late and no time for cardio. Probably a good thing since I lost weight again. Dang it! I thought I was holding my own with the couple of pounds I had gained since I'd kept them for about a solid week. I ate crap all weekend too. But as I think you know by now I'm a meal replacer, so if I eat a giant sized Nestle Crunch bar (yup, you heard me right) then I won't eat dinner. Great plan, I know. I don't eat like that too often, but I have my moments. I ate a huge hamburger from Texas Roadhouse Friday night. No cheese and no fries. I ate half of it and brought the other half home and finished it off that night. That was AFTER eating 3 of those rolls first!!! And Saturday I had a King Sized Twix!!! I was totally out of control this weekend. :( But all that sugar makes me really tired.

Shana - OUCH!!! I'm glad you're okay. I know some people who shun Smith squats, but not me. When you workout alone, it's the only way to go. Same for bench press. Some days I can barely get the weight back up on bench press and I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have that help.

Ally - You should take some Airborne with you and take it faithfully! I hope you have fun and stay healthy!

Toasty - I'm sure whatever you do, you'll be curling some massive poundage! Can't wait to see.

Linda - Way to mix it up. It feels good to do that sometimes, doesn't it?

Diane Sue - Once again, a nice, creative workout. You always burn so many calories. What is toasted oatmeal? It sounds kinda good. Why didn't you sleep well?

I went from light band to medium for firewalkers...boy did I feel it!

Did ab workout from Oxygen mag...that's tough! Did all reps in first set but then did 10 and 8. Finished with 50 frog crunches.

Today will be some type of cardio.

Hey Maniacs! This morning I did Jari Love's Ripped and Chiseled. Felt strong in some areas and weak in others. My shoulders were super week today...almost wanted to finish reps with zero weight, I actually went down to 3's for the last bit.:eek: Owie, the burn was murder! Kept thinkin', I want my body to look like her body. Jari has super legs!

Yesterday we had a Thanksgiving dinner with Dh's fam. I didn't over eat, but I pretty much had a taste of everything.:)

Diane Sue- all weekend I kept thinking of more Kettle bell names. Gripper bells, Idiot bells, Handle balls, Kettle balls, big ball with handle thingys, iron balls, Dumb balls, Dumber balls, Dumbest balls.... then I had that AC/DC song Big Balls going through my mind all weekend! I'm still trying to recover.:p

Suz- Love the new workout room setup! I wants me a new TV!

Sonya- love fire walkers with the heavier band! So fun and torturous!

Toasty and Shana- You weirdos and your out-in-public walking lunges! El geeko!:p I admit, I've done them on the beach on occasion.

Well, I was bad:confused: but good. I took myself out to eat for lunch since everything I brought today to eat wasn't tasty. I went to Mandarin Seafood Buffet OMG, really! I didn't go back for second, but couldn't leave out with out a slices of apple pie, Yahoooooooooooo. Yeah I said it, Apple pie lol:D I am done eating for today, hopefully I can regain a little of my strength for tomorrow's workout.

You guys, your workouts was awesome! Nice job folks!

I SUCK!!! Today we were supposed to celebrate a co-worker's 50th birthday. Well, last year on her birthday her mom died. Yesterday was her birthday and her horse died. Needless to say she didn't want to celebrate. So they brought this HUGE cake into OUR office. I wasn't going to have any. You know I have my rule of no junk at work. Yeah, whatev. It's half chocolate and half white with a thin layer of some fruit stuff in the middle. I came back from shopping and buying this cute top and skirt and I loved how the top accentuated my newly shapely arms so what do I do? I come back and sabbotage myself and EAT CAKE instead of my tuna lunch pack!!! Ugh! :mad:

Dallys - Way to feel the burn! I'm happy you had a nice day yesterday. I'm glad that someone around here can keep their eating under control. :(
 
Teddy...good for you for treating yourself to lunch. I know I should do that more often. I know the "experts" say it's ok to have a cheat day once a week. I usually have a cheat item....like this week was brownie bites (again!) But last night at our Thanksgiving with DS a friend had made this dessert that was to die for....I had a small piece and went back for a second small piece...and I don't feel guilty. Figure I'll burn it doing cardio today anyways!
I bet the apple pie was yummy:)....aren't you feeling better already??? hee, hee!

Well I ended up going to a country diner tonight. Wasn't really planned. lol. I believe you can always find one healthy thing to eat off the menu even if a diner so I got pork chops. I played with my other food...sodium enriched green beans and dappled at my boxed potatoes. lol. There was a couple beside us and the lady was singing a Loretta Lynn song that was playing in the background. I was trying not to choke on my food. :p

Checking back, I cleaned up leaves and did some stuff outside in the yard this afternoon. I came back in and was coughing like crazy from the cold. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea. I got my Kettlebell Goddess dvd today so have been previewing some of it.

Suz, I hear you on the darn junk food. I was doing so well today. Had my chicken ready to grill for lunch and a tin of a dozen choclate chip cookies with nuts came from some friends who own a restaurant. Well, I had to dig in and then I went and got some milk (skim LOL) and I ate all of them:mad: So I haven't eaten anything else since. I am sure I ate more than I burned working out today. I was starting to feel better about how I look too. Funny thing is even after all of that take out food being sick and the bread and stuff I was only 111 when I went to the Doctor Thursday but I really don't want to pack on fat calories and I don't think cookies are going to build muscle:rolleyes:

Dallys, LOL on the kettlebell names. You had me laughing. Especially when I read AC/DC Big Balls. I have always thought that Jari Love's legs looked great.

Charlotte, you would think you could eat healthy anywhere. There was a Diner near DH work that he went to a lot. It was always hard to get something healthy there. Green beans had bacon and lots of salt. No fat free dressing if I just got a salad.

didn't work out all weekend; it's hard to get them in on the weekend since that's bf time. Today, though, I did Amy's A-Team Bootcamp. yay. now for bed.
